Shocking !!! Man of God allegedly stabs nurse to death

The Police Authority in Imo State, Umeneke Division has arrested an Assemblies of God pastor, Esom Jehovah, for allegedly stabbing a trainee nurse to death.

The victim identified as Callista, approached the pastor over a missing phone battery and charger she was given to charge.

An eye-witness told Sun that a boy in the compound gave the deceased a phone battery and charger to assist him recharge but Pastor Esom Jehovah’s first daughter stole the items which were later found in her custody five days after.
”The Pastor reacted angrily to the allegation against his daughter and beat up the deceased before his daughter went and picked a kitchen knife and stuck it deep into her back while her father held her down.”

The corpse has been deposited at the Holy Rosary Hospital morgue in the state.

A close source disclosed that the 21-year-old daughter is currently on the run, while the Pastor who almost fled after stabbing the deceased with the knife was arrested by the police.

Muslim clerics nabbed with fresh, dried human body parts in Ogun state

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested three self-acclaimed Muslim clerics with fresh and dried human body parts suspected to be used rituals purposes.

The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu, who paraded the suspects on Sunday at the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, headquarters in Abeokuta said they would be charged for alleged ritual murder.

Ilyasu, who gave the identities of the trio as Adebayo Mudashiru (36), Raheed Abass (33) and Rasaq Adenekan (42), said: “they were caught with fresh and dried human parts, human skull, reptiles and assorted charms.
“Upon interrogation, the suspects were discovered to be serial killers, with their operational office located at number 6 Baase compound, Totoro, Abeokuta.”

The three suspects while speaking with journalists said they engaged in the rituals to help solve their clients’ problems.

Ritualist who bought human skull, eye, teeth for N12,000 paraded by police

Another suspected ritual killer, Adebayo Mubashiru, has confessed that he and his colleagues buy human parts, including skulls, eyes and teeth, for N12,000.


The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, paraded the suspects at the headquarters of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Magbon, Abeokuta over the weekend.

He said the four suspects specialized in killing for ritual purposes and belonged to two different ritual groups.

The police boss said one of the groups, comprising Mudashiru and Rasheed Abass, who resided in the Totoro area of Abeokuta, were arrested on 5 October by operatives of FSARS.
Iliyasu said the two suspects were sighted on a motorcycle with a suspicious bag by policemen, who were on patrol, and they were stopped for a search.

He added that the search led to the discovery of fresh and dried human parts, dead lizards and charms, adding that they were serial killers.
Iliyasu also revealed that two other suspects, Lateef Aremu and Kolawole Shodipo, were arrested at the Owode-Egba area of the state the same day.

He said operatives of the FSARS received information about them and trailed them to their hideouts, where they were arrested with human skulls and bones.

The suspect was arrested alongside three others in the Abeokuta and Owode Egba areas of the state by men of the Ogun State Police Command.

Housewife, two others arraign for selling baby for N605,000

A  Chief Magistrates’ Court in Minna has granted bail to a housewife, Eucharia Mba, who was earlier apprehended by the police for allegedly selling her four-month-old baby for N605,000.

The woman was arrested alongside Bright Ahuruezeanya of Chanchaga area of Minna and one Peter Ani.

The defendants are facing three counts bordering on criminal conspiracy, buying and selling of a minor.

According to the police First Information Report, one Mr. John of Mechanic Junction in Chanchaga, had sometime in September, 2017 reported to the police that Amaka Bright of the same address with Bright Ahuruezeanya conspired with his wife Eucharia and sold his four-month-old baby boy.
It was alleged that Eucharia and the other two accused persons left for Enugu State where they sold the baby to one Mr. Ani for N605,000.

The suspects, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges when the case came up for mention.
The presiding chief magistrate, Hassan Mohammed, ordered the remand of the two men involved in the matter and granted bail to the two women on health grounds.

The magistrate said, “The court will grant bail to the two accused women because one is eight months pregnant while the other one is nursing a four-month-old baby. It will be unjust to expose them to health hazard and it would be unfair to the innocent four months old baby and the one yet to be born.”
The magistrate later granted the two men bail in the sum of N500,000 each with a surety who must be resident within Minna, the Niger state Capital.

“They should also produce two recent passports as well as their national identification card,” the magistrate added.

The case was adjoined till October 18, 2017.

The offence contravened sections 79 and 278 of the Penal Code Law.

IPOB is not a terrorist organistaion - Ooni of Ife

Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the ooni of Ife, has referred to the Biafra group led by Nnamdi Kanu as the Indigenous People of Brighter Nigeria (IPOBN).

He said this on Friday when he paid a courtesy visit to Okezie Ikpeazu, governor of Abia state.
The monarch expressed disapproval with the proscription of the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), saying members of the group should not be regarded as terrorists.
Ogunwusi said the youth, who were involved in the agitation were justified in asking for justice and equity.
The king visited the state to celebrate the new yam festival with Eberechi Dick, chairman of the south-east council of traditional rulers.

“There is something that is bordering them; there is something that is making them to cry,” he said.
“We should not throw them away; we should draw them closer because the youth of this country are the future, the energy, they are the heartbeat of this country.”
He said their energy could be tapped and channeled to build a better Nigeria.

Ogunwusi called for proper re-orientation in order to make young people drop negative tendencies.
Backing the position of Ohanaeze Ndigbo on restructuring, Ogunwusi said the Yoruba share the same view on the way forward for a better and all-inclusive Nigeria.
“We must chart the course of doing things with positive energy. I want to let you know that you are not alone in this,” he said.
“We stand by you positively in a very progressive manner. We stand by you; we all must come together to build a united Nigeria. We don’t want any war; we don’t want any disintegration.”

Ikpeazu said he was honoured to host the revered traditional ruler. He praised the ooni for “being in tune with national issues and making positive contributions for national rebirth”.
”I am a firm believer that this country is strong today because of its diversity,” he said.

Wayne Rooney serving out his community service for drink-driving ( Photos)

The Everton striker, Wayne Rooney turned up for training today - at a community garden centre for adults with learning difficulties.

Rooney, who admitted being almost three times the drink-drive limit last month, is working there, as part of a 100-hour community service order he received, along with a two-year road ban.



He is said to be desperate to convince wife Coleen he is turning his life around – after being caught with another woman while drunk in the car after a night out.

A source said: “Wayne knows he has got to do this and has really thrown himself into it. He doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty and he looked like he was enjoying it”

The £150,000-a-week star was chauffeured to his shift, near his £6million home in Prestbury, Cheshire.

At 8.40am, he walked in wearing a blue jacket, blue hoodie, matching blue bottoms and black Nike trainers.
He has already completed two days of work – at least 12 hours.




At the centre, Rooney, 31, put on a green zip-up fleece, worn by colleagues and spent all his time inside.

He has been given routine maintenance tasks as disadvantaged adults around him learn new skills, including plant potting, and woodwork.

Their efforts are displayed and sold at the centre.

Rooney left at 3.04pm, he strolled outside to his waiting driver who had been parked for 90 minutes.

The ex-England and Manchester United skipper has told pals he is more than happy to work there.

The garden centre is the same venue where former Manchester United team-mate Carlos Tevez was ordered to work after he was banned four years ago.

Fake doctor arraigned in Lagos over poisonous pills

Lagos Chief Magistrates’ Court in Yaba, on Friday, arraigned a 28-year-old quack doctor, Yusufu Abdullahi, for allegedly giving poisonous pills to his patients.

The man, who resides at Mile 12 area of Ketu, Lagos, is facing a three counts of conspiracy, administration of fake pills and breach of public peace.

The Police Prosecutor, ASP Romanus Uniugbe told the court that the accused and one other, still at large, committed the offence in September at Mile 12 Market, Kosofe Local Government Area, Lagos State.
Uniugbe said the accused operated an illegal hospital, where he admitted patients, carried out surgical operations and administered dangerous pills, the practice, which had resulted in the death of innocent people.

According to him, intelligence report revealed that the accused and his accomplice, who had no qualifications or licenses, had been operating in the area of Ketu for a while.
‘’Abdullahi, conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of public peace, while defending his practice as a medical practitioner.’’ he said.


However the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
In his ruling, the magistrate, Mr Adewale Ojo granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000.
He, therefore, ordered the accused to produce two sureties in like sum.

The case was adjourned to Nov. 13 for trial.
The offence contravened Sections 251 (1), 411 and 412 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
