I DON’T WISH TO BREAK HIS MARRIAGE, ALL I WANT FROM HIM IS SEX – CATHOLIC SISTER (pics)

A 38-year-old Roman Catholic sister confessed to be in an adulterous affair with a married man stating that all she wants from him is sex.

Emmaculate Samukange, who also works as a nurse at Chivhu General Hospital, said she has no intentions of breaking Phillip Dzingai’s marriage but only wanted sex from him.

“I am aware that Phillip is married and it is true that I am having an affair with him.
“I am a Roman Catholic sister so what I do does not allow me to be his second wife.

“I am in a relationship with him because I failed to resist sexual temptation; I don’t wish to break his marriage, all I want from him is sex,” said Emmaculate.

She added that Phillip is the only man she has ever loved in her life.
“I started dating him in 2013 and since then I have tried to let him go but I have failed to do so.

“We met at Chivhu General Hospital where I also work as a nurse and from that moment we clicked.

“I have never met his wife but she now knows what is going on between Phillip and I because we have been dating for a long time now,” she said.
When asked for comment Phillip denied having an affair with Emmaculate.

“There is nothing like that going on,” he said before hanging up the phone.

Meanwhile an H-Metro source, who is a close relative to Phillip, said they had tried to warn Phillip from cheating on his wife but it was to no avail.

“As a family we have had numerous meetings with Phillip but we have not been able to convince him to be faithful to his wife.
“It seems as if they are inseparable; each time you mention anything to do with Emmaculate he changes his temper and starts to be violent,” said the source.

Duchess of Cambridge wears British designer favourite Emilia Wickstead for day visit to Luxembourg (pic)

Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge has taken up more solo engagements, and after her trip to the Netherlands last year, this is her second trip abroad alone.

Wearing a princess style coat by one of her favourite designers, Emilia Wickstead , Kate waved to the crowds as she arrived at the Mudam art museum in Luxembourg - her first port of call on a day of activities.

While Kate does like to fly the flag for British fashion, particularly when overseas, the pale blue colour of her ensemble paid a subtle homage to the country's national flag colours, which is red, white and light blue.

Her hair looked bouncier than ever , perhaps in preparation for her sister Pippa's forthcoming nuptials.

And all eyes will be on her family on May 20, when they attend Pippa's wedding.

JK Rowling pleads with Irish public to help Dublin taxi passenger with 'nightmare' situation

JK Rowling has pleaded with Irish people to help a Dublin man with an unfortunate situation.

A Trinity student has pushed an urgent appeal to help him retrieve his laptop after it was discovered he mislaid it in a taxi.

He pleaded with friends on Facebook to help him get in touch with the taxi driver through a Facebook post on Wednesday night.

The message got a lot of traction and eventually caught the attention of Harry Potter author JK Rowling.

She re-tweeted his post on Thursday morning, describing it as "one of her worst nightmares" and asked people to help him out.

Jamal Sul, who is doing a PhD in therapies for multiple sclerosis, said his PhD notes were also left in the taxi.

It happened after the student had been celebrating his thesis corrections with friends in the city centre.

"I had an unfortunate event on Friday where I went out and celebrated my thesis corrections. I met up with two friends and got a taxi outside Iskanders between 3am-3.30am on the 6th May, which was Friday night into Saturday morning. I got into the taxi and headed towards Cherry Orchard but I fell asleep in the back, completely disorientated, and I hopped out and left my bag," he wrote on Facebook. - Independent. ie

Woman says she's 'too good looking' to get a boyfriend

A single mum, Cherelle Neille who is working as a shop assistant and living in Manchester says she’s too beautiful to get a boyfriend.

She sympathises with the rest of us, saying: "I feel as though plain Janes have it easier because men will actually get to know their personality as their looks are merely average. Whereas, for me, it's always the wrong attention, they never want to know me as a person. Plain girls end up with the long lasting relationships and I'm the one kissing all the frogs."

But despite calling other girls “plain,” she insists she’s lovely: "I am sick of people assuming I am nasty when I am really a lovely person. My looks attract the wrong guys and it has been really hard, now I am completely over men."

She said men assume she’s vain: "They continually think just because I'm good looking, I am going to be rude or stuck up. They say to me "you think you are too good-looking don't you?" - which is ridiculous.

But said it’s the men with the problem: "Whenever I am on a date, they only care about what I look like, they never even listen to what I am saying. My last boyfriend just paraded me around to his friends and only cared about having his photo taken with me. No man I've met so far is ever actually interested in having a conversation with me."

She added it can get a bit awkward on dates: "This one time when I was on a date, I remember something had happened in the news that day. I was sharing my view on the event, and this guy was not listening in the slightest. He kept telling me I was pretty and wasn't listening, I then said thank you, and carried on asking him what he thought of it. He didn't care and kept talking about my looks and in the end he hadn't listened to a word I was saying."

But it hasn’t just impacted her love life. Neille said: "Girls are jealous too, I only really have one friend. There was this one time I was clubbing with my friend and when we were in the bathroom, loads of girls I didn't know were complimenting me, my hair and my looks. Then suddenly my friend walked out and left the club, and she hasn't talked to me since. If I see a pretty girl I will definitely tell them every time what I love about them, it's nice to be nice. I just don't associate myself with many girls as friends anymore."

Cops help announce Texas mom's pregnancy to husband in viral setup

An American Army veteran found out he was becoming a father after a special local law enforcement officer pulled him over to help his wife reveal the big news.

Jarred Wright and his wife Nikki both Hurst residents were driving in their neighborhood when a police officer pulled them over.

"The reason why I stopped you was because you've got a child in the car without a child seat," the Hurst PD officer said in the viral video. Jarred denied the accusation of having a child in the car, only to turn and see his wife Nikki holding up a positive pregnancy test.

"We do have a child in the car with no car seat," Nikki said.
"I think that means you're a daddy, bud," the officer said.

Since serving in Afghanistan from 2013-14, Jarred has been recovering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), General Anxiety Disorder, and Major Depression Disorder. The officers who helped reveal the big news previously helped Jarred during a panic episode in November 2016.

They created a GoFundMe following the video going viral, where Jarred got candid about his mental health struggles.

"I'm trying to be a great dad and husband and provide for my family, however, the severity of the psychological disorders need constant attention,"

"I'm seeking a donation for help with rebounding from this financial setback due to my inability to work as I seek mental health treatment and gain new employment to better support my family that provides a stable work environment suitable for my psychological disorder."

As of publication, the fundraiser has raised over $2,120 in seventeen days.

Russian YouTuber convicted for playing Pokémon Go in church

Ruslan Sokolovsky, a Russian YouTuber who filmed himself playing Pokémon Go in a church has been convicted for “inciting religious hatred”.

He posted his video at the height of the game’s popularity in August 2016. On Thursday he was convicted by a court in Yekaterinburg and given a given a three-and-a-half year suspended sentence. The same offence saw two women from the Pussy Riot punk collective sent to prison for two years in 2012.

Sokolovsky has been detained since October, facing up to five years in prison, and was relieved to not be facing jail time. He said: “Without the support from reporters, I would possibly have been given a real prison sentence.”

Judge Yekaterina Shoponyak said Sokolovsky’s videos manifested his “disrespect for society” and that he “intended to offend religious sentiments”.

The video shows Sokolovsky playing the game in the Church of All Saints in Yekaterinburg and referring to local news reports that warned people from playing it in Russia’s churches. It has since been watched more than a million times.

He said: “How can one offend by entering a church with a smartphone?

“I decided to just catch some Pokémon in church because, why not?
“I believe it’s both safe and not prohibited by law. Let’s go.”

Katie Price is slammed by fans for teaching nine-year-old Princess to pull 'disturbing' pout

An English television personality, Katie Price once again caused a storm in the motherhood department, as the glamour model has faced another backlash over nine-year-old daughter, Princess.

Sharing a snap of the pair on her Instagram story feed, the 38-year-old Loose Women and mini-me and her mini-me shocked some fans with a VERY pouty picture.

In the snap, which she shared with her 1.5million followers, the model can be seen looking into the camera pulling a huge pout, lips puckered up.

However, what was shocking for some fans of the model, was that Princess - Katie's daughter with ex-husband Peter - was pulling exactly the same expression.

A backlash soon followed, with one fan even calling the photo "disturbing". @tjhilton1 tweeted: "Is it just me or is this photo of Princess disturbing.why would you paint her like a porn doll & put it out for the world to see [sic]."

But the Loose Women star wasn't about to let things lie, as she hit-back against her critics, telling The Sun: "She’s a professional little model, she’s learnt from the best, what can I say?

“And the thing is I can’t say to her, ‘Oh don’t be sexy or don’t pose like that,’ as she doesn’t know what that is.”

Chief Of Staff Abba Kyari Inserted Controversial 'Coordinator' Clause In Buhari’s Letter To National Assembly

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, has been named as the architect of the president’s controversial letter to the National Assembly informing legislators that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was to be the “coordinator” of government activities during Mr. Buhari’s latest trip to Britain to undergo urgent medical care. The phrasing of the letter, a departure from President Buhari’s previous ones where Mr. Osinbajo was explicitly named “Acting President,” has generated widespread discussion and a measure of political tension within Nigeria.

Several high-ranking sources at the Presidency confirmed to SaharaReporters that the decision to use the phrase, “the Vice President will coordinate the activities of the Government,” instead of expressing what the Constitution stipulates, that the Vice President becomes “Acting President” with the transmission of the letter, was singularly taken by Mr. Kyari.

Our Presidency sources added that they were not even certain that Mr. Abba Kyari bothered to seek the opinion of the Attorney General, Abubakar Malami, before drafting the much-discussed memo to the National Assembly. However, the sources said President Buhari had in the past insisted that the Attorney General should at all times be informed about such important constitutional communication between him and the National Assembly.

One source said Mr. Buhari was irate on learning about the political fallout from the ill-motivated decision to alter the usual content of his letter to the National Assembly. “Abba Kyari has some explanation to make to the President who was completely taken by surprise,” said one source. The source asserted that the President signed the letter on Sunday, after a quick glance, with the understanding that the letter was couched the same way as the previous letter he signed when he went on an extended medical leave last January. “I can assure you that he never knew of the ridiculous insertion of the word ‘coordinating’ in his letter,” said the source.

Another source accused Mr. Kyari of fomenting moves in the past designed to cause confusion between the President and his ministers, and between the Vice President and the President, adding that Mr. Buhari had on several occasions scolded the Chief of Staff for his mischievous maneuvers. “Mr. President has often sharply rebuked [Mr. Kyari], insisting that things must be done properly and constitutionally,” said the source.

But the source remarked that, after each presidential reprimand, Mr. Kyari seemed to get even more desperate to sow seeds of discord, to the point of taking decisions which Mr. Buhari often would confide in associates he did not recall authorizing. The Nigerian President, who is officially 74 years old, is believed by some to be older and to be plagued by the usual ravages of old age, including a failing memory.

Our sources said one occasion when Mr. Buhari confronted his Chief of Staff was when Mr. Kyari inserted himself as a board member of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). The sources described Mr. Kyari’s inclusion on the NNPC board as curious and needless, adding that President Buhari confronted the Chief of Staff on that decision. Mr. Kyari reportedly insisted that the President had approved the entire list presented to him as members of the NNPC board. “Everyone at the Presidency was shocked when that happened because we knew that Mr. President had never approved the inclusion of Abba Kyari,” one source insisted.

SaharaReporters also learned that the Chief of Staff recently sidelined Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, when Mr. Kyari set aside the minister’s list of heads of agencies under his ministry and brought his own names. “Since then, Abba Kyari blocked every attempt by the Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, to see Mr. President until the release of the Chibok girls last weekend,” said the source.

One source said he was unclear why Mr. Kyari orchestrated the change of the second paragraph of the President’s letter to the National Assembly, but the second source said the Chief of Staff had always seen some influential members of the Buhari administration, including the Vice President and some ministers, as countervailing forces against him, and wanted to phrase the letter to the National Assembly in a way that degraded the VP’s powers to act fully during Mr. Buhari’s absence.

“Besides VP Osinbajo, Abba Kyari considers ministers such as Lai Mohammed, Babatunde Fashola, Rotimi Amaechi, Audu Ogbeh, Hadi Sirika, Malami, and Jumai Alhassan as those he should cut off from the President,” said our source. He added that some ministers, including the Budget & Planning Minister, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, who triedto work with Mr. Kyari have become so frustrated by the Chief of Staff’s notorious tardiness and sloppiness.

Our sources said Mr. Kyari’s desire to isolate and control Mr. Buhari often created political problems for the President, with many critics believing that he approved some of the bizarre moves made by his chief personal aide. According to our sources, Mr. Kyari’s own sickness, which necessitates frequent visits to the United Kingdom, compound his unpopular maneuvers. They said Mr. Kyari always ensured that members of his staff enforce the regimen he has established to deny or limit access to Mr. Buhari by members of the government he feels he does not, or cannot, control.

During Mr. Kyari’s trips abroad for medical treatment, a former Secretary to the Federal Government, Babagana Kingibe, carries out the official duties of the Chief of Staff.
One of our sources said Mr. Kyari ’s main goal in using the “coordinator” tag in the President’s letter to the National Assembly was to retain considerable power and influence around his office and person even when the President is not around. “He was so furious in January when the President was away for 50 days because all the Ministers whose access to Mr. President he had tried to curtail started getting approvals and access with the Acting President very promptly,” one source said.

According to the source, Mr. Kyari was also riled by President Buhari's public comments commending Vice President Osinbajo for the way he ran the country during the president’s prolonged medical stay in the UK.

Mr. Kyari’s critics in the administration have often accused him of believing himself the real deputy to President Buhari. “But all he has managed to do is just staining the otherwise unassailable personal integrity of the President,” said one critic.

On more than one occasion, according to critics of Mr. Kyari, he put himself up to assignments that should have gone to a minister if the President and his deputy were not available.

They cited a recent example of what happened last Sunday when the 82 Chibok girls were released. Mr. Kyari “took it upon himself to go and receive the girls without informing the Women Affairs Minister, Jumai Alhassan, whose ministry is responsible for everything pertaining to the Chibok girls in the Buhari administration,” a government insider said.
An official source who attended the reception said Mr. Kyari sidelined the media team of the President and carried out official functions meant for the VP and other appointees of Buhari. Regarding the reception for the freed Chibok girls, our sources disclosed that the Information Minister and the Women Affairs Minister got wind of the event, and simply showed up to attend in spite of Mr. Kyari’s “standoffishness.”

Some administration insiders disclosed that President Buhari had become aware lately of his Chief of Staff’s excesses, and had grown disillusioned that Mr. Kyari was sowing confusion in his team and even seeking to cause an embarrassing rift between him and the VP with whom he has been cordial and developed mutual trust and understanding.

Presidency sources disclosed that President Buhari’s last major announcement on Sunday, just before the reception of the Chibok girls, to the effect that he was returning to the UK for medical treatment, was done without Mr. Kyari’s knowledge. In a similar manner, according insider information, Mr. Buhari’s decision to suspend Babachir Lawal as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Ayo Oke as Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) came as a surprise to Mr. Kyari, who was kept in the dark.

“That decision [to suspend Mr. Lawal and Mr. Oke] was President Buhari’s most dramatic demonstration of his disappointment in Abba Kyari and a few other associates to whom he has entrusted critical assignments,” said one source at the Presidency.

The same source said there was a clear sense in the Presidency that “If and when President Buhari returns, there will be hell to pay for people like Kyari.”
However, he and a few others at the seat of government in Abuja expressed doubt that Mr. Buhari would ever regain the soundness of mind and physical fitness to dispose of Mr. Kyari, who anchors a cabal at the Presidency that has dictated much of the administration’s widely criticized “northernization” policies. - Sahara Reporters

On the night of May 3, a Facebook user, Michale Matthew, posted a story on his page that earlier that evening, he saw two female pupils being harassed and molested by their fellow male pupils, who had just completed their Senior Secondary School Examinations (SSCE).
Matthew described how the pupils chased the girls in the Obalende area of the state, saying the boys tore up the skirt of one of the victims with a pair of scissors.
The Facebook user added that two of the boys attempted to force themselves on the girls to the delight of other boys when he raised the alarm. - The Nation

Desperate Naija yahoo boys arrested in Toronto for $10m fraud, one absconded

Toronto police have arrested two Nigerian men, and are looking for a third, after they allegedly broke up a massive GTA fraud ring.

Police allege the trio used identity theft and fraud to fund a lavish lifestyle that included $10,000 crocodile shoes and $150,000 watches. But the flashy clothing was just the tip of the iceberg: they allegedly stole $10m from Canadians, Canadian institutions, and people living abroad.

Their names were given as;

Adedayo Ogundana (Pictured") 45, also known as Oladipupo Ogund, of Toronto, Adekunle Johnson Omitiran, 37, of Toronto.

A warrant has been issued for Duro Akintola, 44, also known as Michie Noah, of Toronto.

Emmanuel Salako, 47, of Toronto, also known as Gee Salaq, has been indicted by the United States Postal Inspection Service in Chicago under the name George Salako.

He is wanted in the U.S.

The investigation began last summer. In the probe, police allegedly seized “37 fraudulently-obtained credit cards, hundreds of pieces of presumably stolen mail, and a series of notebooks containing the handwritten identity information of approximately 5,000 GTA residents.”

Police believe Omitiran had ties to people with “legitimate” access to identity information. Those people, police allege, sold them information to Omitiran. Police are trying to track them down.

Court Remands INEC Staff in Prison for N111.5m Scam - EFCC

Justice P.I Ajaku of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin-City, Edo State on Thursday ordered that the duo of Uluocha Obi Brown, an Administrative  Secretary of the  Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),  Delta State and Percy Okojie,  a renown legal practitioner and former President, Rotary Club,  Benin-City be remanded in prison custody,  following their arraignment before her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  on an 8-count amended charge, bordering on conspiracy and money laundering to the tune of N 111, 500, 000. 00k (One Hundred and Eleven Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira only).

The defendants were docked for allegedly collecting the sum of N111, 500, 000.00k  (One Hundred and Eleven Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira only),  as a bribe during the weeks leading to the 2015 Presidential election. They are among the over 100 INEC Officials that allegedly collected part of the $115million (N23bn) disbursed by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison- Madueke, during the countdown to the 2015 presidential election.

Brown  was arrested sometime in 2016,  following an  intelligence received by the EFCC on the activities of some INEC Staff, who allegedly connived with the West African Network of Election Observers (WANEO) a Non- Governmental Organisation (NGO), in defrauding the Federal Government huge sums of money, running into billions of Naira during the 2015 general elections.

Count one of the charge read: “That you Uluocha Obi Brown and Percy Okojie and others now at large on the 27th day March, 2015 at Benin within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court did conspire among yourselves to receive cash payment in the sum of N 111,500,000.00 (One Hundred and Eleven  Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira only)  exceeding the statutory limit without going through a financial institution and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 18 (a)  of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act 2012 as amended and punishable under Section 15 (3) and (4) of the same Act”.

Count two of the charge read: “That you Uluocha Obi Brown on the 7th of March, 2015 in Benin within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court did retain, and disguised the origin of  the $80,000.00 USD (Eighty Thousand Dollars) which you paid into First Bank (domiciliary account )with account number 2024017909 knowing that the said amount forms part of the proceeds of an unlawful act, and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 15 (2) (a) and (d)  of the Money laundering ( Prohibition) Act 2012 as amended and punishable under Section 15 (3) of the same Act”.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges  when they were read to them.

In view of their pleas, prosecution counsel, Sadiq Hussaini, asked the court for a trial date and pleaded that the defendants be remanded in prison custody.   However, counsel to the 1st defendant, Chief F. O. Orbir, SAN, told the court that he had filed a bail application for his client. He said the alleged offences were bailable and that the defendant was earlier placed on administrative bail by the prosecution and urged the court to grant his prayers. Counsel to the 2nd defendant, K. O. Obamogie made  same prayers. Hussaini opposed their prayers, submitting that  he needed  time to respond.

In her ruling, Justice Ajaku turned down the defendant’s application for bail, stressing that the prosecution has a right to respond. She also adjourned the matter to 17 June, 2017 for argument on bail applications , 30 June, 2017 for trial and ordered the defendants to be remanded in prison custody pending the determination of their bail applications.

EFCC Secures Conviction of Man for Land Scam

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on May 10, 2017 secured the conviction of Lambert Onwuka, who was arraigned before Justice A.M. Talba of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT High Court, Gudu, on a three-count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy, forgery and obtaining by false pretence.

Onwuka, who runs affairs at the Bitobless Links Nigeria Limited, was charged along with Munir Adamu and Monday Omachonu for a land fraud. The scam was reported to the EFCC by Abuja Geographic Information Systems, AGIS.

In the course of the trial, just as the defence closed its case, the two other defendants rather than open their defence, jumped bail. The trial, however, continued in their absence with the prosecution presenting several documents and witnesses against him.

Justice Talba, after going through all the evidence brought before the court, ruled that: “the prosecution has proved its case beyond every reasonable doubt, and they are found guilty and convicted accordingly”.

Onwuka was subsequently sentenced to seven years in prison without an option of fine for the charge of obtaining by false pretence, seven years each on the counts of criminal conspiracy and forgery with an option of N50,000 fine on each count.

Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to ensure that the other defendants are re-arrested for them to face their sentencing

Olaogun was said to have promised the company to remit N2.5million within two weeks of the purchase, but instead of doing so, he showed them a bank alert indicating he had made payments.

But when the supplier went to his account to withdraw the money, it was discovered that no such credit was made.

Confessing to the crime, he said: “When I bought the laptops I sold to someone else but the person did not pay me on time. When I could not pay the supplier as agreed and he was pressurising me, I decided to send the fake bank alert to him so as to have peace.

‘I copied several alerts already sent to me by my bank. Then, I edited and retyped it as sms. That was what I showed the supplier. I didn’t send it to his phone.

“After waiting endlessly for the person I resold the twenty five laptops, coupled with the pressure of the supplier.

“Immediately after sending the bank alerts to my phone, I went to his shop to show him the alert so as to give him the assurance that actually the money was sent to him. When I sent the alert to him I wasn’t entertaining any fear.”

The suspect admitted that he facilitated the vehicles supplied to the office of the governor because of his relationship with the car dealer, saying that two of the vehicles were intercepted before getting to Alausa.

“Initially I was not afraid, but now I regret my action, because I don’t intend to defraud my friend that supplied the laptops to me.”

The graduate of Lagos State University who was arrested on May 5, 2017 at his office at Balogun Market, Ikeja, claimed it was greed that pushed him into the act.

Police Commissioner Fatai Owoseni said: “The suspect would go into shops and buy good worth millions of naira and instead of paying, he would send fake bank alert to the person that supplied him the goods on credit.

“When the person went to the bank to collect the money, it was there the person discovered that what they sent to him was fake bank alert. He also generated fake bank statement to deceive suppliers of five million naira and a Toyota Corolla was recovered from him. He would be charged to court.”- The Nation

Why I Stayed With Lanre Gentry Despite Constant Domestic Abuse – Mercy Aigbe

Yoruba actress, Mercy Aigbe who recently dropped her estranged husband’s name, Gentry after the alleged domestic violence case which resulted in her being hospitalized with CT scan showing she suffered a fractured skull has revealed the reason behind her stay in the abusive relationship.

The actress who took to her social media page to share photos of herself in blood revealed that the several cases of physical violence she suffered from her husband, Lanre Gentry has affected her sight and caused her to bleed internally.
The actress who finally spoke up on April 16, 2016 revealed that it took her a while to cry out because “I never for once came out to say that my husband did not beat me. The video people were referring to happened in 2013 when there were rumours of such and I did a video recording alongside my husband to debunk the claim. At that time I had to do it to protect his image and my marriage. I had to do a live video at that time.”
The actress in the recent interview revealed that she stayed in her seven-year-old marriage which is now in troubles because of her children and because she was a role model of some sort.
Mercy Aigbe said: “He beats me consistently I stayed because I loved him and because everytime he beats me, he begs and gets family and friends to beg me. He promised regularly to change but he never did. When my husband gets angry, he gets physical, not only to me but to anyone.
“He has done that with my house help who reported him to the Police years ago. I stayed because of my children and because a lot of people look up to me. I was a role model of some sort and I really wanted to keep it together. I just wanted a home.”
Revealing why she wants to abandon the relationship, the actress said: “It’s not like I wanted to walk away but I just feel like we need help. I spoke to my husband’s brother about it. I told him I was going to pack out for some time while my husband seeks therapy. I just wanted to feel safe, that is why I moved my things out. This last beating was brutal. I actually thought I was going to die. I’m still coughing and sneezing blood even after three weeks.”
Revealing what happened on the day of the incident which led to her social media cry out, the actress revealed that she had informed her husband that she was attending a burial of her colleague but he refused to grant her permission to go, a move which would have been unfair on the lady since she had earlier promised her appearance at the event.
She added that her refusal to pick her husband up while she was still at her designer’s place had infuriated him and thus led to the assault as he drove down to her designer’s place to beat her up.”
She continued: “Immediately, I opened the door, he kept beating me. I was begging him and asking why he was beating me. He said he would destroy my face such that no makeup would fix it and destroy my career. He was acting like someone who was possessed. I told him “Lanre, mo ma bi mo fun e” (“I have a child for you).

Why we’re making Yoruba language compulsory in Lagos schools – Lagos State Speaker

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has explained that the need to preserve Yoruba language and culture from going into extinction was the main reason the House is promoting the Bill to make the teaching and learning compulsory of the language in all schools in the state.
Rt. Hon. Obasa made this disclosure on Wednesday at the Assembly complex in Ikeja at a public hearing organised by the Assembly’s Education Committee to create awareness on the Bill.
The Lagos Assembly Speaker lamented the situation whereby children nowadays are being prevented from speaking Yoruba Language not only in their schools but also even at home by their parents.
“All over the world, mother tongue is the language of instruction and learning in schools and I continue to wonder why our own should be different. It is here that we prevent our children from speaking Yoruba Language calling it vernacular,” Rt. Hon. Obasa said.
He stated that the inability to teach and encourage children to make use of the language is fast eroding the culture and tradition of the Yoruba people.
“It is ironical that while we were discouraging the use of our language, foreigners knowing the importance of the rich Yoruba culture and tradition anchored on the language, have been coming here to learn and make use of the language,” he said.
The Lagos Assembly Speaker told the audience at the gathering that the success of the House initiative requires the cooperation and support of all particularly the stakeholders in the education sector hence the need to organise the public hearing aimed creating awareness on the Bill and seeking recommendations and support of all for the success of the Bill.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the House Committee on Education, Hon Lanre Ogunyemi, decried the situation whereby Yoruba values are being eroded in most homes and schools, “where children and students have been deprived the right to communicate in their language due to highhandedness of some teachers and parents who perceive Yoruba Language as vernacular”.
“The Lagos State House of Assembly at its plenary session of Thursday, 18th June, 2015 passed a resolution that the Yoruba Language shall be a compulsory subject in all public and private schools in Lagos State.
“The need for compulsory teaching of Yoruba Language in all schools in the state was further reiterated at the House plenary session of Thursday, 4th February, 2016″.
Hon Ogunyemi stated that mother tongue is the language of instruction and learning in other countries of the world.
“Ours must not be different because the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Education believes that as a state, we must lead by example by adequately and effectively embarking on the campaign that this rich language must not go into extinction,” he said.

Which zodiac sign you definitely shouldn't date

Before you go barreling headfirst into a new relationship, the stars might have something ugly planned for you and your latest S.O. Lucky for you, the AstroTwins are here to tell you the definite don'ts for each sign and why it's best avoid them like the zodiac plague.

Aries (March 21–April 19)
Don't date: Capricorn (Dec. 22–Jan. 19)

Aries are rule breakers and Capricorns are rule makers. You'll constantly feel criticised for your renegade style, which can frighten well-behaved Cap. Spontaneity is your jam. Capricorn can't even go to dinner without making a reservation. You're both high achievers but workaholic Capricorn is married to the job. You may feel like you're in a polyamorous relationship with Capricorn's boss - and good luck getting that Recommended Daily Allowance of attention every Aries needs.

Taurus (April 20–May 20)
Don't date: Aquarius (January 20 to February 18)

Wait... what? Do. Not. Compute. Although you like your rules and traditions, Aquarius' wiring feels downright robotic to you. In relationships, you're all warmth and heart - with a side of vintage champagne and French chocolates. Aquarius operates on a confusing paradox of logic and rebellion - and they're far too egalitarian (and after a few dates, cheap) to pay for your luxe indulgences. Things could get experimental between the sheets, but in the real world? A total buzzkill.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Don't date: Scorpio (Oct. 23–Nov. 21)

The seductive game-playing is undeniably hot in this combination with both of you volleying naughty Snapchats and sexting throughout the day. But things go south when you try to seal the deal. You thought this was a cool flirtation and you just want to "see what happens." Scorpio demands exclusivity and fidelity before you even kiss. With their willpower and manipulative charm, you'll quickly become the sub to their dom.

Cancer (June 21–July 22)
Don't date: Sagittarius (Nov. 22–Dec. 21)

Wild, freewheeling Sagittarius rushes into your life like a whirling tornado - and sometimes, that's just what you need to get yourself out of that shell. But you can't ride that inconsistent wave pattern long without throwing your fragile sensibilities into a state of extreme anxiety. Archer's insane social (and travel) schedule will clash with your nesting instincts and longing for one-on-one time. When you're baring your soul, Sagittarius cracks a joke - and won't understand why certain things (like spending time with family) are a big deal to you. The disconnect is just painful.

Leo (July 23–Aug. 22)
Don't date: Pisces (Feb. 19–March 20)

Dreamy, dazzling Pisces will instantly enchant you. At last! The magical playmate who will cuddle up with you in Never-Never Land. You could literally lose your foothold in reality staying up til' dawn with this nocturnal creature. But beneath the fantasy-fuelled veneer, Pisces' somber moods can get stormy and depressive. You'll take it personally - and even freak out - when Pisces goes dark, ignoring your texts for longer-than-a-Leo-can-manage spell. And neither of you has much willpower when it comes to your money. This one could leave you in debt!

Virgo (Aug. 23–Sept. 22)
Don't date: Libra (September 23-October 22)

At last! Someone who can appreciate your refined and discerning tastes - and actually volley back some decent suggestions of their own. The first few dates will be pure magic … if you can get them scheduled. You demand definites. Libra speaks in "call me maybes." Before you can relax and get intimate, you need know that a relationship is actually heading somewhere. Libras can barely commit to a dinner plan. And they refuse to be rushed into a romantic entanglement. Your patience will wear thinner than angel hair pasta, bringing out the frustrated mean girl in you - not a good look, Virgo!

Libra (Sept. 23–Oct. 22)
Don't date: Virgo (Aug. 23–Sept. 22)

Bookish, cultured Virgo seems like a great match at first. You have similar tastes and both enjoy the finer things in life. But results-driven Virgo is on a constant self-improvement mission while you prefer to view the world through a rosier lens. You'll feel rushed by their demands for action and certainty - and henpecked by "Coach Virgo's" meddling (and unyielding) self-improvement tips. You're a gift giver who spares no expense on the ones you adore; Virgo is cheap with everyone but themselves. And when they turn that critical eye on you, bye-bye, sexual chemistry.

Scorpio (Oct. 23–Nov. 21)
Don't date: Gemini (May 21–June 20)

Though you're hopelessly attracted to Gemini's mercurial style, the inability to pin them down (or make them commit!) will bring out your absolute worst. Gemini's erratic communication patterns will leave you obsessively checking your phone and their unrepentant flirting will turn you into a raving, jealous lunatic.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22–Dec. 21)
Don't date: Cancer (June 21–July 22)

Cultured, epicurean Cancers make great hanging buddies but keep them in the friend zone. In love, this coolly cynical sign can get cloyingly sweet and clingy. Your intimacy alarm bells will clang as Cancer basically moves in to your bachelorette pad after the third date - and the sentimental cards and letters might activate your gag reflexes and crueler sense of humour. You just … can't.

Capricorn (Dec. 22–Jan. 19)
Don't date: Aries (March 21–April 19)

Aries is the zodiac's infant and you're the provider sign. The power dynamics are just off here. Unless you're searching for a sugar baby, this combo could quickly turn into a romance-killing dependency. Even if you are both rainmakers, entitled Aries may feel perfectly justified spending your hard-earned fortune while hoarding theirs.

Aquarius (Jan. 20–Feb. 18)
Don't date: Taurus (April 20–May 20)

As much as you admire Taurus' romantic fervour, their passionate intensity could leave your levelheaded sign mystified - if not overwhelmed and catatonic. You just can't understand why they need to hear "I love you" with every text or get insecure when you plan a friend hangout without them. Their expensive tastes are a total turn-off to your humanitarian sign. While they order oysters and caviar, you'd rather be making a donation to the ACLU and saving up for an ayahuasca ceremony in Peru. Clashing values will ultimately kill this connection.

Pisces (Feb. 19–March 20)
Don't date: Leo (July 23–Aug. 22)

Need a nap yet, Pisces? At first, you'll be dazzled by Leo's sweeping chivalry and gallant romantic gestures. And oh, how the two of you will spend on "one more drink" that turns into a 48-hour marathon date. But who is this person who swept you off your feet? Your desire to plunge into deeper waters will be thwarted by Leo's constant performing and praising. The proud lion's struggle to be vulnerable could make you feel like the hot mess in the relationship - until you discover their credit card bills. Run! - Cosmopolitan
