These parents left behind a truly extraordinary set of rules for the babysitter.

Check out some funny rules left for a babysitter in America..........

“Don’t waste your valuable time cooking or providing healthy snacks.”

“Let the kids have as much sugar as they want, as long as they will go away.”

“If you have any boys over, just make sure they have an uncle/Dad/brother/friend I can call later.”

The hilarious instructions were reportedly left for a US woman, Maliah, and recently shared to Twitter by her partner, Malik Brazile.

Twitter/@malikbrazile PAGE 1 “My girl went to babysit, and this is what the parents left…,” he wrote alongside photographs of the list, which have since been retweeted more than 17,000 times.

It's not hard to see why. Along with requesting a potential hook-up, the mother also suggests the young woman try her hand at breastfeeding.
"Just download a video on YouTube," the note suggests. "It's not hard or I would not do it."

Twitter/@malikbrazile PAGE 2 There's also some helpful advice, such as, "Don't answer the house phone, unless you feel like paying bills" and "Do not take any kittens/candy/puppies from David. Or take a ride in his van."

And perhaps most importantly, "Do not believe anything the kids tell you."

Why I am rarely seen in public — President Buhari

The President spoke Thursday evening through a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba, explaining why he had been out of public glare for a while.

The statement said, “President Buhari’s absence at the Federal Executive Council meeting of Wednesday, April 26, was a last minute decision; otherwise, the cabinet and the public might have been alerted in advance. As eager as he is to be up and about, the President’s doctors have advised on his taking things slowly, as he fully recovers from the long period of treatment in the United Kingdom some weeks ago.

President Buhari himself, on his return to the country, made Nigerians aware of the state of his health while he was in London. Full recovery is sometimes a slow process, requiring periods of rest and relaxation, as the Minister for Information, Lai Mohammed, intimated in his press briefing after the FEC meeting on Wednesday.

“Despite his lack of visibility, Nigerians should rest assured that President Buhari has not abdicated his role as Commander-in-Chief of Nigeria.

“He receives daily briefings on the activities of government, and confers regularly with his Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. His private residence, in which he has been spending the majority of his time recently, also has a fully equipped office.

“God is the giver of life and health. We are grateful that He has seen our President through the worst period of his convalescence in London. We are thankful that the President has passed a number of benchmarks already. We pray that God continues to see him through this period of recuperation.”

U.S., Presidency fire Jonathan over poll, graft

The United States and President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday hit back at former President Goodluck Jonathan over his claims on the 2015 polls and anti-corruption fight.

Jonathan had claimed that he lost his re-election to local and international conspiracies, including U.S., during the 2015 presidential election.
He also accused Buhari of harassing his family with his anti-corruption fight. But both the U.S. and Buhari said there was no truth in Jonathan’s claims.
Jonathan, in a book titled, “Against The Run of Play”, written by Mr. Olusegun Adeniyi, a former presidential spokesman, had expressed worries that Buhari’s government was hounding his family using the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). “I feel sad about the way my family is being hounded.
Society is like a building. You build it one block at a time. If every president decides to go in to dismantle what his predecessor did, society will never make progress. I expected President Buhari to correct whatever mistakes I may have made and then carry on from there.
But in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, Buhari explained that neither he nor his government harasses any Nigerian, including Jonathan and his family.“But a situation in which people go into exile for political reasons is not good for us,” Jonathan said in the book which is yet to be launched.
Buhari advised Jonathan to approach the court and seek redress if he felt aggrieved with the style of the administration in going after those who looted the country’s treasury.
“We make bold to state unequivocally that President Buhari harasses nobody; he merely allows the law to take its course. For the umpteenth time, we say that anybody without skeleton in his or her cupboard has nothing to fear about the bared fangs of the anti-corruption initiative.
“Fear belongs only to those who have abused trust while in office. Anybody who feels aggrieved is free to approach the courts to seek redress or justice,” the statement noted.
The president said he believes in the rule of law and that is why his campaign against corruption is anchored on that plank. “With regard to President Buhari’s anti-graft style, which the former president deprecates, given the scale of revelations and recoveries so far by the anti-corruption agencies, it is obvious that corruption had an uninhibited course during our recent past.
Also, spokesman for the Public Affairs Section of the United States Consulate General, Lagos, Mr. Russell Brooks, said US government did not influence the election or pitch tent behind any candidate.“In any case, time will give the verdict on whose style of fighting corruption ultimately yielded the most dividends. For now, President Buhari is resolute and single-minded in the fact that his crusade against graft is not targeted at any individual or group.”
“Nigeria has a very vibrant and outspoken media. I think the media should verify information and substantiate allegations before any publication. For example, there was a news item today (yesterday) that United States government interfered in the 2015 general elections.
United States government did not interfere in Nigeria’s election. “US was never involved nor manipulate the 2015 elections in Nigeria. US never influenced the outcome of the election to suit any candidate because US had no preferred candidate.
Media must verify information and substantiate allegations before publishing any story,” he said. Brooks spoke yesterday during a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) at Editors’ House in Ikeja, Lagos yesterday, Brooks, who was accompanied to the Editors’ House by the Public Affairs Officer to the United States Consulate General, Lagos, Darcy Zotter and Information Specialist to the US Consulate General, Lagos, Temitayo Famutimi, said the US did not have any preferred candidate during the 2015 general elections, therefore there is no basis for the country to interfere in Nigeria’s election.
Jonathan, who ran on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also blamed his loss at the poll on former United States President Barack Obama, ex-British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Francois Hollande for aiding the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking about media operation in Nigeria, Brooks commended Nigeria for upholding press freedom. “During my stay in Nigeria, I noticed that there is press freedom in Nigeria.
Press freedom is fundamental to United States and fundamental for building democratic norms,” he said. He commended Nigerian media for its robustness and resilience, noting that in spite of the challenges in Africa, Nigerian media have discharged their duty  creditably.

In her response, the President of the NGE, Mrs. Funke Egbemode, assured Brooks that NGE is willing to partner with US Embassy in the area of capacity building and exchange programme to promote professionalism among members of the Guild and media practitioners in the country.
Brooks also assured the NGE that he would foster exchange programmes between Nigeria and the United States journalists, especially in the area of capacity building.
She said the NGE would also appreciate exchange programmes that will see Nigerian journalists train in the United States while US journalists will also visit Nigeria’s media houses to appreciate how Nigerian journalists cope even in the midst of challenges. - New Telegraph

Former Bread Seller turn model, Olajumoke  has reached out to her and sorted her out. Speaking about the good act, Olajumoke said;

"My team found mama Emily Oyedele. @qtabyevents team embarked on a search today & eventually located her. She lives alone in a "face-me-I-face-you" and she has neighbors that assist her. They say she is 130yrs old, though she looks very old, we can not verify her age.

Mama Emily has no living child but has a grandson called Benjamin Oyedele who she was referring to in the viral video.

The residents of the area confirmed that they do not know exactly when the demolition will get to them but it has already commenced.

OUR INTENTIONS:
1) Rent a decent 1bedroom apartment for mama Emily,
2)Furnish the apartment quickly 3) Relocate her there before the demolition gets to her (we have just about two weeks)
4) Possibly get a little girl that can live with her to help her with cleaning, cooking e.t.cor find out if her son can live with her
5) Form a small community of 20people called "friends or Mama Emily"
6) Designate one person to visit her once weekly, spend time with her e.t.c
7) We will also try to assist her grandson to learn a trade & earn a living as that is the only way her Joy will be complete.

We will look into the possibility of helping other people in the community as we found another very old man that lives not far from Mama Emily whose house is also marked for demolition
The gentleman in brown shirt in the picture is her grandson Benjamin Oyedele. He was in our office yesterday and we realized that him and Mama's son had a building site before things went down & mama's died. The house needs plastering and roofing and fixing of toilets.

IRS raids televangelist Benny Hinn's office in Grapevine

Federal investigators raided the North Texas offices of international televangelist Benny Hinn on Wednesday.

The IRS didn’t say much, but did confirm criminal investigators were at the scene in Grapevine on what they called “official business.” A source told FOX 4 News the agents executed a search warrant.
About 50 federal agents reportedly swooped in on the complex Wednesday morning.  Hours later, a box truck could still be seen backed in at one entrance.

The U.S. Attorney’s office said it could neither confirm nor deny an investigation.
From Twitter posts, Hinn appears to currently be on a trip to Paris, France. FOX4 reached out to Hinn’s attorney for reaction, but he has not responded.

In 2007, U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley made it clear he had concerns about several preachers, including Hinn, and possible misuse of church airplanes, luxury homes and credit cards.

That probe last roughly three years and found no definitive evidence that Hinn or the other preachers violated IRS rules.

Ogun govt shuts down hospital over death of 24-year old

The Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Babatunde Ipaye, has ordered the immediate closure of Glorious Ona Ara Clinic and Maternity over the death of a 24-year-old twin, Kehinde Sikiru.
The hospital was accused of illegally performing a surgery on the 24-year-old and operating outside the confines of its license.

The hospital was subsequently shut down by the Ministry of Health Monitoring team at Itori Odo in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of the state.
Ipaye disclosed that the ministry took the decision after investigating petitions by many people against the hospital.
He said, ”We have received so many calls, petitions and complains from good people of the state on that particular hospital, performing illegal operations against the license approved for the facility because there is a standing order that patience with complications or complicated issues be immediately referee to the nearest general hospital for better treatment.
”It was so sad that Kehinde Sikiru died as a result of the illegal operation carried out on him which was against the medical profession which forbade maternity homes, mission homes and traditional birth attendants from injecting or preforming operations on their patients as they are not licensed to do so.”
Ipaye, who sent his condolences to the deceased’s family, warned that any health facilities found operating beyond the approved limit of their license would be shut and their registration certificate withdrawn.
The latest hospital closure brings to 169 the number of private health facilities sealed off in the state since the re-validation and registration exercise commenced in January, 2016..

Monarch flees as Fulani herdsmen behead man in Delta

Palpable tension has enveloped Urhuoka-Abraka community in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State following the killing of a member of the community by armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.

Sources said the incident occurred on Monday around Ovre-Abraka bush where indigenes of the community farm.

It was gathered that the young man, a welder, who was later identified as Solomon Ejor, was killed while trying to rescue his mother, Mrs Maria Ejor, who had gone to Ovre to farm, and was held hostage by the herdsmen in her farm.
On getting to the place, a confrontation ensued, which led to the woman’s freedom, but Solomon was unlucky as he was shot before being beheaded by the suspected herdsmen.

It was gathered that over 50 local farmers had been killed in the scuffle since the struggle began even as the state government and security operatives were accused of playing politics with the rampaging killing in the area.

Irked by the continued killing and inaction of the traditional ruler, angry indigenes retrieved the mutilated body of the victim and went to the palace of the Ovie of Oruarivie-Abraka to dump the corpse and register their grievances.

Upon sighting the angry mob with the corpse of the slain welder, the monarch was learnt to have reportedly fled the palace through the back gate to an unknown destination probably to avoid seeing the corpse which is a taboo for a monarch in Urhobo.

The protesters invaded the palace destroying cars and air conditioners with a threat to torch the palace less for the timely intervention of a detachment of army personnel.

The President General of the community, Dr. Tedwins Emudainohwo, whose car was also destroyed in the mayhem said, “They brought the corpse to the palace with the intention of desecrating the palace coupled with the fact that it is a taboo for the Ovie to see a corpse.

“The victim, in company with his younger brother and two friends, had gone to the bush to rescue their mother who had gone to the farm and was trapped in the bush, following shootings by herdsmen in the area.”

“Their mother had gone to her farm on Monday to work. While there, she started hearing gunshots inside the bush and had to take cover at a spot. In her hiding position, she was able to see some Fulani herdsmen walking past as they continued shooting. After the situation had calmed down, she called her children and told them that she was trapped inside the bush.”

Saraki, El-Rufai stopped me from becoming Buhari’s running mate – Tinubu

A former governor of Lagos State and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has accused Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, of being responsible for his failure to run in the 2015 presidential election as running mate to President Muhammadu Buhari on the ticket of the All Progressives Congress.

According to Punch Newspaper, quoting ‘Against the Run of Play’, a book by the chairman of editorial board of ThisDay Newspaper, Olusegun Adeniyi, Mr. Tinubu said Messrs. Saraki and El-Rufai worked separately but for one purpose, influencing Mr. Buhari not to pick him as his running mate.
He said both politicians played the religious card, telling Mr. Buhari a Muslim-Muslim ticket would be unpopular.
In what appeared a background to the political game that marked the June 2015 National Assembly leadership elections, Mr. Tinubu was reported to have said Mr. Saraki and other former PDP leaders who defected to the APC disrupted the plans the party had made before the arrival of the so-called PDP bloc.
Mr. Tinubu was strongly opposed to the emergence of Mr. Saraki as the Senate President, and was able to get the formal leadership of the APC to endorse Ahmed Lawan, for the country’s number 3 position.
He said: “What they (Saraki and others from the PDP) did behind my back was wrong. We always do things as a group. By the time they joined, we were already too far ahead in our processes but we accommodated them.
“We agreed to take their state structures and subsume them into the part and they all had their opportunity to nominate the candidates of their choices for different political offices.
“But they went behind to instigate Buhari and some other people in the party against me on the pretext of religion. That was not right. They were canvassing arguments that the Christians in the North would not vote for a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
“Nasir el-Rufai was also selling the same argument within the CPC (the defunct Congress for Progressive Change) because at that point, he still wanted to have Pastor Bakare brought in as Buhari’s running mate.”
The former governor was also reported to have said some senators and governors, who defected from the PDP to the APC, met with him on the eve of the APC presidential primaries in Lagos to know if there was an agreement between him and Mr. Buhari to run together.
“I told them that it was better to resolve such issue after the primaries, but they wanted to make it a condition for supporting Buhari, which, for me, was very wrong. I told them I could not insist on this as a condition for my support for Buhari. I felt that was not right to hold Buhari hostage in this manner.
“I believe the support that we gave was fundamental to Buhari clinching the party nomination. Without that support, a different outcome would have been most likely.
“I backed down because I did not want to be depicted as causing a problem. I backed away from the position in order to offer Buhari a name I once raised with him in 2011: that of Professor Yemi Osinbajo,” he said.
It is the first time Mr. Tinubu would go public about what actually strained his relationship with Mr. Saraki and how he failed to become Nigeria’s number two citizen.
But Mr. Saraki had, in April 2016, hinted at how he sabotaged Mr. Tinubu’s vice-presidential ambition, which he said was his ‘original sin’ that motivated the former Lagos governor’s opposition to him.
“Most people talk about the Senate Presidency position, but this was not my only offence. I have also been accused of helping to frustrate some people’s opportunity to emerge as President Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate. But I have no problem with anybody. My concern was that it would not be politically smart of us to run with a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
“I doubt if we would have won the election if we had done this, especially after the PDP had successfully framed us a Muslim party. I felt we were no longer in 1993. Perhaps, more than ever before, Nigerians are more sensitive to issues of religious balancing.
“This, my brother, was my original sin. What they say to themselves, among other things, was that if he could conspire against our ambition, then he must not realize his own ambition as well. For me however, I have no regrets about this. I only stood for what I believed was in the best interest of the party and in the best interest of Nigeria,” Mr. Saraki said last year.

I do not have $1.2bn in any account – Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed says the report that he has 1.2 billion dollars (about N400 billion) in his imaginary bank account is “fake and vicious’’.
The minister stated this on Thursday in Ilorin at the Annual National Conference and General Meeting of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) with the theme; “Communicating Values for Development and Sustainability’’.

The minister said that the report was invented by opposition and naysayers to malign him and the government, adding that the alleged fund is about the budget of his ministry for 25 years.
“How else can you explain that people will believe and circulate a fake report that the Minister of Information and Culture that is yours truly has 1.2 billion dollars in his imaginary bank account?
“Let’s examine this for a moment. 1.2 billion dollars is about N400 billion.
“The entire yearly budget of the Ministry of Information and Culture, where I preside, is under 15 billion Naira and these include salaries, overhead and capital projects.
“Assuming, without conceding that the Minister somehow manages to transfer the entire budget into his personal account, it will take 25 years for him to amass N400 billion.
“Yet, this disinformation was lapped up by the public, he said.
The minister said that similar imaginary huge sums of money had been credited to other ministers.
He condemned the ugly trend by opposition, who were inventing the fake and malicious stories using bloggers and some online media to malign government officials.
According to him, the intention of the perpetrators and carriers of the reports are to distract the government to lose focus, but it will not fall to their antics.
The minister said that Public Relations gave him the first break in life being the profession he practiced after his graduation for over 40 years.
Mohammed, a Fellow of the Institute said that the theme of the conference was apt and called on NIPR members to be proactive in the discharge of their duties.
”You must neither be intimidated, cowed nor be overwhelmed by the cynics, you must set your own agenda and daily review such with a view to improving on them.
“You must never lose touch with your traditional constituents. You must understand the tactics of the opposition, which is ambush and irrational,’’ he said.
The minister specifically tasked government information managers to equip themselves with qualities such as integrity, courage, abnormal capacity for hard work, ingenuity resourcefulness and ability to think out of the box.
The President and Chairman Governing Council of NIPR, Dr Rotimi Oladele said the conference was to deliberate on how the profession could be used to promote communication values for development.
He underscored the need for practitioners to showcase national values and present them to global market.
Oladele commended the minister for the support given to the Institute and for creating time to attend the event.
The minister also inaugurated a new Governing Council for the Institute to run for two years under the leadership of Oladele.
Some of the members of the Council are former Defence Spokesperson, retired Gen. Chris Olukolade, former Director of Press and Protocol in the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mr Peter Dama and his successor, Mr Timothy Oyedeji.
Others are Mr Wale Adeniyi of Nigeria Customs Service, Alhaji Sule Yau a former Chief Press Secretary to Kano State Government and Alhaja Bola Osifeso.
Ten members of NIPR were also inducted to Fellowship of the Institute.

EFCC quizzes Abuja estate developer, SAN over alleged N2bn land fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has quizzed an Abuja-based estate developer, who is also the promoter of Winning Clause Limited, Obiageli Okwubanego, and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, P. I. N. Ikwueto, over alleged inappropriate land deals running into billions of naira.
A senior operative of the anti-graft agency told journalists in Abuja on Wednesday that their invitation and interrogation stemmed from a petition by over 300 house owners on the platform of Winning Clause Estate Residents Association at Plot 67, Kafe District, Gwarinpa Extension, Abuja.
They alleged that Okwubanego collected over N2 billion from them under false pretence.
The source said: “While Barrister Ikwueto was interrogated last week, Mrs. Obiageli Okwubanego was quizzed for over six hours on Tuesday. Although the SAN was not directly involved in the alleged dirty land deals, he acted as a legal representative to Mrs. Okwubanego and Winning Clause Limited in the transaction,” the source stated.
“The woman (Okwubanego) was invited to the EFCC, based on the petition against her. She was interrogated over unjustly collection of huge funds, running into billions of naira from house owners in Winning Clause Estate. We have also interrogated several banks she used for the transactions and we have found strong evidence against her, the investigation is ongoing.
“The suspect has been given administrative bail; and she is expected to return here (EFCC office) for further interrogation in another day. The matter is further compounded because another woman had come forward claiming ownership of Winning Clause Limited.”
In the petition addressed to the Acting Chairman of the anti-graft commission, Ibrahim Magu, signed by Mike Arowosegbe and Taiwo Adisa, the Chairman and General Secretary of the Association respectively, and acknowledged by the EFCC on February 20, 2017, the house owners had requested for thorough investigation of the activities of Winning Clause Limited and its promoter, Obiageli Okwubanego, a land speculator, and recovery of the “monies” collected from them “under false pretence”.
According to the petitioners: “We are representatives of the residents’ and home owners’ association of the above-named estate located at Plot 67, Kafe District, Gwarinpa Extension, Abuja.
“Between 2009 and 2011, most of us subscribed to an Estate located at Plot 67, Kafe District, Gwarinpa Extension, Abuja, then known as Saraha City Estate and which belonged to Saraha/Proform Limited at the time.
“By 2012, when many had completed their buildings and actually started living in the houses, another Developer named Winning Clause Limited entered into the fray and claimed it was the rightful owner of the Plot.
“A court action was instituted by the claimants and after some pushing and shoving, the parties resolved to enter into a Consent Judgement in October 2013 and the judgement was delivered by the Abuja High Court number 24 on November 28, 2013.”
The house owners said with that judgement, the said Plot 67, Kafe District was transferred to Winning Clause Limited and their members elected to work with the company in accordance with the Consent Judgement, saying that to their utmost shock and dismay, another claimant to Winning Clause Limited surfaced in January 2017.
The residents further added that while they were all along trying to cope with “highhandedness” of Okwubanego all the while, the house owners were taken aback by the emergence of another claimant to the company, which was awarded the right to Plot 67, Kafe District by the Court.
Attaching a letter by a counsel to one Halimat Abdulazeez, which has effectively placed a caveat on the said Company, the petitioners said contrary to the judgement of the court, the said Okwubanego had imposed series of levies and fees on their members under false pretence and forced them to pay “humongous” amounts under threats to life and property.
The house owners said: “She had effectively deployed agents of the FCT administration during the tenure of Senator Bala Mohammed, who allocated the plot to her company in March 2011. Right now, the said Mrs. Okwubanego and Winning Clause had through various accounts in at least four banks collected about N1 billion (One billion Naira only) from our members.
“Our members have also paid at least N70 million (seventy million Naira) as Infrastructure fees for which the company has refused to give account after failing to undertake the infrastructural development the money was paid for.
“Our fear is that besides the said N1 billion the company had collected as land charges, the money collected under the guise of infrastructure could go down the drain if the activities of the company are not checked.”
Explaining the seeming dirty deals enveloping Winning Clause Limited transactions with its members, the petitioners said their earlier checks at the Corporate Affairs Commission had revealed that Okwubanego is not a Director of the Company and had confronted her with this fact in November 2016, but refused to provide any concrete answer.
The owners of over 300 duplexes in Abuja feared that they might have paid money to “an imposture under false pretences”, but said they could not be blamed as those of them who paid different sums, especially following the demolition of gate houses of most of their homes by officials of Development Control in 2013, having been instigated by Okwubanego’s famed relationship to ex-Minister Mohammed.
The association accused Senator Mohammed of revoking the allocation of Plot 67, Kafe District, Gwarinpa, their estate, earlier done in 2005, and allotted it to Proform West Africa (which entered into alliance with Saraha Homes) illegally.
The house owners stated that going by the letter from Halimat Abdulazeez, they are worried that Okwubanego might have defrauded them of their hard earned resources through false pretence, while also colluding to keep “our estate undeveloped and vulnerable to security risks”, requesting EFCC to unravel the true ownership of Winning Clause and retrieve their monies from undue quarters.
