Arsene could make a move for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema before the end of the window.
The report claims, though, that Arsenal will only make their move if Alexis Sanchez leaves the club.
Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer, with the Chilean only have one year left on his current deal with Arsenal.
According to Diario Gol, Arsenal could make a ‘last-minute’ offer for Benzema ahead of next week’s deadline.
Arsenal boss is still insistent that he will stay and is willing to let the forward’s contract run out at the end of the season.
However, if they do decide to let him go in the last week of the window, they will move for Benzema.

The Liverpool football club are set to make a big push to sign Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain before the end of the month.
The Mirror reports revealed that, Liverpool are attempting to usurp Chelsea’s move for the England international and secure a deal.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has one year left on his current deal with Arsenal and the Gunners are willing to let him leave.
Arsenal will accept offers of £35m for the winger, who has rejected a £180k-per-week contract offer.
Chelsea are seen as the favourites but Liverpool are looking to steal a march on their rivals to land his signature.
Liverpool are no different, as they look to finish their business for the summer. Virgil Van Dijk is another player being consistently linked with the club.
The Southampton defender has handed in a transfer request and reportedly wants to join Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager has refused to criticise Barcelona over their ongoing pursuit of Anfield star Philippe Coutinho.
Barcelona have identified Coutinho as a replacement for Neymar, who completed a world-record €222million transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, though their pursuit has been unsuccessful so far.
Premier League title hopefuls Liverpool are believed to have turned down a £119m offer for Coutinho, maintaining the Brazil international is not for sale.
He is yet to feature this season as uncertainty over his future grows, however Klopp is unfazed with his focus elsewhere.
"To be disappointed about different things, you need to have expectations," Klopp said. "I don't have expectations, I don't think about other clubs to be honest.
"We all have our own problems. If we think we have to do something, we do it. In this moment I would have preferred we finished our business six weeks ago. Let all the rest of the world do what they do. It's getting more and more different and difficult.
"I don't judge what other clubs are doing. I am not sure there was one easy day since we started pre-season. Always something changes.
"All the discussions about Phil and then in the same moment Adam Lallana gets injured. It was like 'what?' I don't think anyone can expect that we are prepared for this. The team have handled it all brilliantly so far." - Goal
According to Sky sources, Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain, but his work permit is yet to be finalised.
It is understood the 24-year-old defender has completed a medical ahead of a transfer worth £23m, but the move is still being held up by issues surrounding his right to work in the United Kingdom.
Aurier has played his entire professional career in France, joining PSG in the summer of 2015 after starting his career with Lens and then moving on to Toulouse.
The full-back could be a victim of PSG's need to be careful about meeting UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules in the wake of their world-record deal to bring Neymar to the club from Barcelona.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add a further right-back to his squad, having used Kyle Walker-Peters and Kieran Trippier in the club's first two Premier League games of the season following the £50m departure of Kyle Walker to Manchester City. - SKY
Pochettino is optimistic that new club-record signing Davinson Sanchez will make a quick adaptation to life at Tottenham, because "he's unbelievable".
Sanchez only spent one season in the Netherlands after leaving Atletico Nacional and Pochettino sees parallels with his own journey into European football, when he left Newell's Old Boys for Espanyol as a 22-year-old.
The Colombian defender joined Spurs from Ajax in a deal costing an initial €40 million, making the 21-year-old the fifth most expensive defender in history.
Pochettino is confident Sanchez is well-equipped to adapt quickly at Tottenham because he did precisely that at Ajax.
He told reporters ahead of Sunday's visit of Burnley: "From America, you come to Europe, you don't know what you will find here. But him, he's unbelievable.
"He speaks very good English, and from day one when he arrived I think he is like all the players here. Yes, he is very welcome with the team-mates and he is one of us.
"It was difficult at the beginning, [but he has] all the characteristics for success here.
"First of all, it [the challenge] is to adapt yourself. I moved with my wife, we were not scared, but you are waiting because you don't know.
"That showed that he is a player with big character and personality, and with a lot of potential.
"When he arrived at Ajax from the beginning he showed his quality, started to show his character and personality. I think he was the best player on Ajax in his first season.'' - Goal
