The Liverpool football club are set to make a big push to sign Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain before the end of the month.
The Mirror reports revealed that, Liverpool are attempting to usurp Chelsea’s move for the England international and secure a deal.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has one year left on his current deal with Arsenal and the Gunners are willing to let him leave.
Arsenal will accept offers of £35m for the winger, who has rejected a £180k-per-week contract offer.
Chelsea are seen as the favourites but Liverpool are looking to steal a march on their rivals to land his signature.
Liverpool are no different, as they look to finish their business for the summer. Virgil Van Dijk is another player being consistently linked with the club.
The Southampton defender has handed in a transfer request and reportedly wants to join Liverpool.
The transfer window slams shut at 11pm next Thursday, with clubs scrambling to push deals over the line. - Read Sports
