‘Boko Haram infected me with HIV/AIDS, VVF, during marathon sex in Sambisa’

  • I don’t know if I got it from the marathon sex or from the three husbands I married’
  • Fifteen-year-old reveals terrifying details about her life as an insurgent bride
Fatima Kabir, a 15-year-old ex-wife of the factional leader of Boko Haram, Maman Nur, said she was infected with HIV/AIDS after she was forced to have marathon sex with many sect members at the group’s Sigil Huda camp, Sambisa Forest.
Kabir said in an interview in Maiduguri, Borno capital, that she was an ex-wife wife to Nur and that she was introduced to the group by her brother, Ibrahim Fadagana, in 2013.
“My brother took us from Maiduguri to Sambisa forest where he introduced us to Abubakar Shekau. Things did not go well at the camp as most of the people did not like Shekau’s brutal treatment of abductees and sect members in the camp. There was a lot of death in the camp. Children died of dehydration and malnutrition.
“So, there was a lot of disagreement between Shekau and Mamman Nur and Nur refused to accept Shekau’s policies. So they broke up. My brother (Fadagana) was a close friend to Mamman Nur, so he stood as my father and got me married to him (Mamman Nur). I was married to him in 2013. I was 12 years old at the period,” she said.
Kabir lamented her experience as Mamman Nur’s wife: “On the wedding night, Mamman Nur forced himself into me and destroyed my vagina. He infected me with Vesico Vaginal Fistulae (VVF). I was sick for a while, but I became better.
“In that same year, 2013, he left me to participate in an arms and military training program in Libya. I couldn’t wait for him, so I immediately got married to Habib, a member from Bauchi State.
“Habib later ran away because he was marked for execution. He was suspected to be an informant for the Nigerian government. So he deserted me and absconded from the camp.
“I later got married again to one Ali Bama. He was not a Commanding Officer. He was just an ordinary member like the others.
Until her arrest in Maiduguri, Bama took good care of her. “He has protected me and provided food for me at our Sagil Huda camp in Sambisa Forest. I am presently carrying his two months pregnancy,” she revealed.
Life in Sagil Huda was very difficult “especially for us (women),” stressed Kabir. “The men always sleep in the afternoon and do marathon sex with all the girls for the whole night. Only those that are married are safe.
“At a point I became sick, so a French doctor came to check on me. He gave me some drugs and said I must be taking it from time to time.
“I learnt that I was infected with HIV/AIDS. I don’t know if I got it from the marathon sex or from the three husbands I married.
“We ran away from Sagil Huda because the army came and stormed our camp and killed many of our members. Right now, my mission is to go and meet my brother Fadagana, he is at Kangarwa with Mamman Nur. I have Mamman Nur’s phone number, I have been communicating with him. My plan is to go and meet him,” she said.
Ibrahim Abdullahi, the NSCDC Commandant, Borno State Command, stated that Kabir’s case is a clear indication that HIV/AIDS has hit Boko Haram’s camp. He bemoaned Kabir’s predicament, stressing that she was very hostile at her arrest. She reportedly called NSCDC operatives at the state command “infidels waiting to die and go to hell.”
“She will be handed over to the military for proper investigation,” he said.

Man Sentenced To Death By Hanging For Killing Wife In Lagos

A Lagos High Court in Ikeja has sentenced a man, Sulaiman Olalekan to death by hanging for the murder of his wife, Mrs Chika Egbo on November 20, 2012 in a case of domestic violence.
The convict (Olalekan), on the fateful day, had poured acid on his Wife, having become overwhelmed by the fact that the deceased went back to prostitution against his best advice.
Trial judge, Justice Lawal Akapo, in his judgment, convicted Olalekan for the murder of his wife and sentenced him to death accordingly.
After the sad incidence which resulted in the eventual death of the victim, Chika, and in line with the zero tolerance posture of the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode-led administration on issues of domestic violence, the Lagos State Government through the State’s Ministry of Justice had taken over the prosecution of the case and filed necessary processes in court.
Olalekan reportedly met the deceased at Signal Hotel in Ijeshatedo area of Lagos State, where they started a relationship that resulted in marriage.
It was after the marriage that Olalekan bought her a second hand Volkswagen Bus and paid her school fees at the Enugu College of Education.
But the deceased reportedly reneged on her commitment to the relationship by returning to prostitution, which caused Olalekan to procure acid from a battery charger in Ikotun area of the State and deceitfully invited her to visit with his mother on the said day when he poured raw acid on the deceased.
The victim was admitted at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for emergency medical treatment, where she eventually died.
Justice Akapo, in arriving at his judgment, said he believed that the murder of Chika Egbo by Olalekan was premeditated.
The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Adeniji Kazeem, who was the lead prosecuting Counsel, in his reaction to the judgment, thanked the Court for a well-considered punishment.
He said: “Today’s judgment is a victory in our fight against domestic violence and a victory for domestic violence victims.”
Governor Ambode, it would be recalled, had pledged to make Lagos uncomfortable for perpetrators of domestic violence when he led an All-Male Walk against Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) late last year. - PM

Lagos To Execute Rev. King, Others On Death Row

Rev. King

Barring any last minute change of mind, the Lagos State Government is set to execute the General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, CPA, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, a.k.a Rev. King, and others on death row in Lagos prisons.
The nation’s apex court had on 27 February, 2016 upheld the judgment of the Apeal Court which passed death penalty on King, saying the condemned cleric must die by hanging.
State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Adeniji Kazeem at a ministerial press conference on Tuesday in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria said the state government was reviewing the matter and would make a decision very soon.
Kazeem said he visited prisons in the state recently on the instruction of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and prison officials drew his attention to the highhandedness of those on death row.
He said these condemned prisoners felt that they had certain rights which excluded them from being executed.
He said the prison officials complained bitterly about this and wanted the government to take action to remedy the situation.
“Very soon, you will see the action of this government on that issue. We are reviewing the case of Rev. King and others on death roll,” he said.
Kazeem, who said previous administrations had not deemed it fit to sign documents for the execution of convicts on death row, vowed that the Ambode administration was moving towards signing the documents to executive those on death row.
“Lots of people are on death row. Rev. King is not the only one on death row, it is on the instruction of Ambode that I visited the prisons recently and I discussed the issue with the prison officials and they expressed concern.
“We are moving in that direction of signing. The prison officials said we need to look at that seriously. Those on death row are beginning to think they have some rights. We are going to move in that direction, you will hear from me, but I will not tell you the exact date,” he said.
On the issue of Major Hamzat Al-Mustapha, Kazeem disclosed that the state government had re-opened the case, saying that government was putting machinery in motion to ensure that justice was done on the matter.
Al-Mustapha was fingered in the murder of the late Kudirat Abiola, but he won the case in the court. However, the court has given the state government the nod to reopen the case. - PM

Whistleblower Narrates What Transpired In The Lagos Apartment Where EFCC Seized $50m

While Ayodele Oke, the Director-General of the Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA) has claimed that the $43 million, N23.2 million and £27,800 (N13billion)  cash found in an apartment in Lagos last week belongs to his agency, information available to SaharaReporters suggests that the woman seen hauling the money into the apartment in Ghana-Must-Go bags may have been Folashade Oke, his wife.
Our investigation has revealed that the owners of Apartment 7B gave Folashade Oke, with phone number +2348059833410, as their contact.  Sources at the NIA confirmed Folashade to be the spouse of their Director-General, Mr. Oke.
The day after the money was discovered, Mr. Oke had told SaharaReporters he could not verify any information about the money as he had not read any report linking his agency to the cash.
After pledging to speak to us thereafter, he did not take any calls until he suddenly announced that the money belonged to NIA, and that it had been approved by President Goodluck Jonathan for certain “covert” activities.
One of the whistleblowers responsible for the discovery told our correspondent that since he started working on the property as a guard, a woman who spoke fluent Yoruba repeatedly brought huge bags of money to Apartment 7B.  That particular property was known to guards as Apartment “Dash-Dash” because in the records there were two dashes where the name of the owner ought to be.
He recalled that on two occasions, he helped the woman, who was always curiously dressed in a haggardly way, to carry the money to “Dash-Dash”.  The woman, on the first occasion, gave him N10,000 as a gift, and on the second, N500.
He said the woman would spend about two hours in the apartment, then go freshen up in the gym at the back of the building before leaving.

Mrs. Folashade Oke's number

While Mrs. Oke appears to be that person, who was quietly trying to traffic the money to the apartment for some reason, a  quick check on True Caller shows phone number +2348059833410 to be customized as Okemob Niger”.Osborne Towers
According to the whistleblower, who is in hiding for fear of his life, there are about 19 fully occupied apartments and 2 penthouses at the 16 Osborne Road, Ikoyi, property.  Estate valuers estimate each of the apartment with four bedrooms and state of the art facilities to cost about N250 million.
The building is owned by a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ahmed Muazu, who is currently in Singapore, according to persons knowledgeable about his movement.  Mr. Muazu, after initially denying ownership of the building, has now owned up.
The whistleblower said Mr. Muazu has many prominent Nigerians as apartment owners in the building.  They include wealthy former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, who owns one on the first floor; recently-retired Managing-Director of the NNPC, Esther Ogbue, on the second; and TV personality and owner of EbonyLife TV, Mo Abudu, on the 4th.
He further told our correspondent that Patricia, a daughter of former PDP “Mr. Fix-It” Chief Anthony Anenih, lives in Apartment 7A.  That is next door to 7B, which is now claimed by the NIA as belonging to it although only one woman, the wife of its Director-General, was ever seen in the premises in a home-decorating mission to furnish the apartment with up to N13 billion in raw cash.
Further investigations show that both Apartment 7A and 7B were initially owned by former Ms. Anenih and her husband Edo-Osagie, who used a company known as Bishop Hills Enterprises Ltd to buy them from the former PDP chairman.  It is unclear at what point they parted with 7B.
SaharaReporters made efforts to contact Mrs. Edo-Osagie but a family source said she could not comment as her mother, Patricia Anenih, has just died.  Mrs. Anenih, who had been sick for some time, died yesterday according to family sources.
Asked by SaharaReporters if there are CCTV cameras in the building, the whistleblower said there were none when he was a guard there. This is curious, considering the caliber of Nigerians who live in the building. However, a resident at the building said there are hidden CCTV cameras installed by Siemens but they are not known to the regular guards
The whistleblower also said there were no guards or security agents operating from within Apartment “Dash-Dash.”  He maintained that apart from the woman who brought bags into the apartment, there were no occupants or operatives living or working there.
The whistleblower’s account somehow tallies with the denial of the Central Bank of Nigeria earlier today that it ever sent bullion vans to take money to the apartment, as claimed by Mr. Oke.
Meanwhile, the EFCC operatives who raided the building have stated that in addition to the vast sums of money they found in various currencies, they also retrieved 2015 posters and presidential campaign paraphernalia belonging to former President Goodluck Jonathan and his then Vice President, Named Sambo at the scene.

Goodluck Jonathan/Sambo 2015 campaign materials

An EFCC source also told SaharaReporters that the reason they went ahead and raided the apartment was because the EFCC has in the past year investigated several NIA operatives involved in corruption, finding widespread malfeasance within the agency, with several NIA operatives owning hotels, apartment buildings and luxury cars in Abuja and elsewhere.
That background may have emboldened the EFCC chairman to ignore pleas by Mr. Oke when he arrived suddenly at the EFCC offices asking them to call off the raid after they had already commenced.
The question now is: how did Mrs. Oke become involved in discreetly and personally ferrying money supposedly belonging to the federal government into a private apartment she appears to own, and apparently trying to hide it there?
Meanwhile, the whistleblowers have also said they are certain that at least two other apartments in the building, which is now being watched, may also contain large sums of money.  But they did not confirm if they passed any details of this information to the EFCC. - Sahara reporters

Nigerian UN Worker Arrested For Robbing Four Banks In New York

A United Nations headquarters employee was arrested on Monday for robbing four banks over a two-month span, The New York Post reports.
Nigerian national Abdullahi Shuaibu, 53, was charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of attempted robbery.
All robberies were committed during his lunch breaks at banks within walking distance of the UN headquarters.
Mr. Shuaibu committed the first robbery on February 27 when he walked into a Santander Bank and demanded that the teller hand him cash, threatening to shoot if the employee did not comply.
In March, he tried but failed to rob a Bank of America. Later that month, he successfully robbed a separate Santander Bank location.
On Monday, Mr. Shuaibu walked into an HSBC bank and passed a note demanding cash to the teller, who did not read the note and asked for identification. He then told the teller he had a gun and gestured to his hand in his jacket pocket.
After returning to work that afternoon, police arrested Mr. Shuaibu. A retired police officer working at the UN recognized the robber from a surveillance photo previously released by the New York Police Department and led the authorities to his arrest. - SR

Defamation: Amaechi Seeks Apology, N1.2b Compensation From Fani-Kayode, Fayose's Aide

Transportation Minister, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has given Messrs. Femi Fani-Kayode and Lere Olayinka a seven-day ultimatum to tender an unreserved apology over their claims that he is the owner of the $43 million found by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an apartment at Osborne Towers on Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. The duo also alleged on Twitter that the apartment is owned by Mr. Amaechi, while Mr. Olayinka, a media aide to Mr. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, alleged that Mr. Amaechi is involved in an adulterous relationship.
The minister's demand for an apology and compensation was made in letters addressed to Messrs. Fani-Kayode, spokesperson to former President Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organization, and Olayinka by his lawyers, Lateef Fagbemi and Co. Dated 14 April, both letters said the Transport Minister wants the withdrawal of the tweet using @realFFK to claim: "The $43 million is Rotimi Amaechi's. He owns the flat it was found in too. NIA story is fake news! NIA does not keep cash in Minister's flats!"

Mr. Olayinka's Facebook posts, noted Mr. Amaechi's lawyers, said: "The Osborne Towers, a luxury residential complex in Ikoyi, Lagos, where the EFCC said it found $43,447,947,27, 000 pounds (sic) and N23,218, 000 on Wednesday, is owned by Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi. The house was built by Alhaji Adamu Muazu, the former Chairman of PDP through a loan from GTBank. He could not repay the loan so GTB took over the house and allocated the penthouse to Muazu and two flats. Rotimi Amaechi bought  TWO of the flats (7A and 7B). He then gave 7A to Mo Abudu, the TV presenter; who is suspected to be his girlfriend."
For Mr. Fani-Kayode, Mr. Amaechi noted that as a lawyer, the spokesperson to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan's campaign organization should know that anyone desirous of finding out the ownership of a property, "especially in a world class land documentation system and facilities like Lagos State should avail himself of the facilities by conducting a diligent  search in the land registry".
"You intentionally failed to do so as to achieve your malicious aim. For the umpteenth time, let it be known that our client,  Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, has no house anywhere in Lagos," the letter stated.
Mr. Amaechi's lawyers noted that Mr. Fani-Kayode's tweet on 14 April was viewed 316,000 followers, retweeted 1,209 times and favorited by 434 followers at the time they wrote the letter, noting that the numbers were still rising, a condition required for a successful defamation case.
On account of these, Mr. Amaechi's lawyers, on the instruction of their client, gave a seven-day ultimatum to Mr. Fani-Kayode to issue an apology to be published in five major national newspapers and payment of N500 million in compensatory damages to avoid litigation.
For Mr. Olayinka, the lawyers reckoned that his position as a government official should imbue him with the knowledge of processes of property checks. The lawyers noted that Mr. Olayinka's Facebook posts of 13 April was viewed by 5,000 friends, with 47 likes, 84 comments and 43 shares. Mr. Amaechi's lawyers also noted that their client is innocent of the allegation of adultery brought against him by Mr. Olayinka, noting that his posts provide a valid ground for defamation.
"In light of the foregoing and in the spirit of second chance, we have our client's instructions to give you an ultimatum of seven days from the receipt of this letter to issue an apology in five national  dailies and your Twitter handle. Your apology, which should be heartfelt, must be a total withdrawal of your claim and its imputation, must also contain an expression of deep regret for this unwarranted attack and must also contain a retraction of the false statement of yours," said Mr. Amaechi's lawyers.
In addition, they are also demanding the sum of N750 million, which could increase if the publication is not immediately retracted. Failure to meet the demands, warned the lawyers, would attract litigation.  - SR

Jamaican Violet Brown who at 117 years of age is the world's oldest living person: Violet Brown was congratulated by Jamaica’s prime minister.© Andrew holness/Twitter Violet Brown was congratulated by Jamaica’s prime minister.

A Jamaican woman born 117 years ago has become the oldest person in the world after the death of Emma Morano, the Italian woman who was previously the oldest human being on the planet when she died at 117 on Saturday.

Morano, who was thought to have been the last surviving person born in the 1800s, was also one of the five oldest people in recorded history.

According to the Gerontology Research Group, the world’s oldest registered person is now Violet Brown, a 117-year-old Jamaican woman.

The country’s prime minister, Andrew Holness, tweeted this.

The second and third oldest people are two Japanese women, Nabi Tajima and Chiyo Miyako, who were born, respectively, on 4 August 1900 and 2 May 1901.

A Spanish woman, Ana Vela, 115, who was born on 29 October 1901, is the oldest European and the fourth oldest person in the world, according to the GRG.

Last year Vela, a retired seamstress, became the oldest living Spaniard. She lives in a residential home near Barcelona, uses a wheelchair and can no longer communicate with her family or her carers.

El País reported that her 89-year-old daughter, Ana, recently had to give up her almost daily visits to her mother because of her own health. But her grandson, Antonio, who is 65, still sees her regularly.

“I always thought my grandmother would live a long time because she was doing really well when she got to 100,” he told the newspaper. “I expected she’d be the oldest person in Spain one day, but I never imagined she’d be the oldest in Europe.” - The Guardian

Omg ! Sobbing And Screaming Girl Is Stuffed In A Sack & Tortured By Her Grandma

A little girl is stuffed into a sack and tortured by her own grandmother and aunt in a sickening footage. Police have launched an investigation after the shocking footage, which has been viewed more than 10million times, came to light.

No suspects have been identified or arrested, according to police in Lianjiang City, in South China’s Guangdong Province. It is unclear what the young girl did to deserve the inhumane treatment as the video starts with the child already inside the white sack usually used to catch snakes or other reptiles.

It shows the child’s grandmother poking and prodding the outside of the sack, causing the girl to cry, and then also rolling the bag along the ground. Later in the horrific footage, a younger woman - believed to be her aunt - can be seen whipping the child with a stick while her gran films from the sidelines.

The women speak in a dialect consistent with those living in Lianjiang, where the cops said they were taking the case seriously and are now searching for the authors of the video.

The pair could face serious punishment if found guilty of child abuse, including several years in jail.

Nigerian man pleads guilty to hacking into computers, scamming $6.5M from U.S. companies

A 31-year-old Nigeria man on Monday, April 17, admitted in federal court Monday his participation in a scheme to hack into computers and email accounts, and steal roughly $6.5 million from American companies last year.

Obinna Obioha pleaded guilty to wire fraud and now faces 20 years in prison.

"As part of his guilty plea, Obioha admitted that, while in Nigeria, he worked with others to hack into computers and email accounts used by dozens of victims in the United States and around the world," U.S. Attorney Richard S. Hartunian and Vadim D. Thomas, special agent in charge of the Albany field office of the FBI, announced in a news release.

"After monitoring victims' information to identify imminent commercial transactions, Obioha and his associates created knockoff email addresses that appeared similar to -- but varied slightly from -- victims' legitimate email addresses," the statement said.

"Obioha and his associates then used those bogus email accounts to send fraudulent invoices to victims, instructing them to wire funds to bank accounts controlled by Obioha and his associates, under the pretense that the wires were payments for actual deals that had been previously negotiated by the victims," federal prosecutors said.

Obioha admitted he was involved in at least 50 wire transfers between January 2016 and September 2016. During that time, about $6.5 million went to bank accounts that Obioha and his associates controlled.

"The accounts received money from fraud victims in New York, Florida, Illinois, Ohio, and Texas, among other places," federal prosecutors said in the release.

Obioha was arrested Oct. 6, after he flew from Lagos, Nigeria, to JFK International Airport. He has been in custody since then.

Obioha faces up to 20 years in prison, a maximum $250,000 fine and the possibility of being ordered to pay restitution. U.S. District Judge David N. Hurd is scheduled to sentence Obioha July 26.

"Foreign criminal enterprises prey upon American businesses and are using increasingly sophisticated means to do so, as demonstrated by this scheme," Hartunian said after Obioha pleaded guilty.

"Obioha's apprehension and conviction is a reminder that foreign nationals targeting American businesses cannot operate with impunity and that the reach of U.S. law enforcement agencies is global." he added.
