“That was when I tried running away but I was threatened and ordered back into the car.
“I was later arrested through my younger brother, who had gone to sell a stolen phone later identified as the victim’s phone.”

The other suspects also claimed they knew nothing about the murder, adding that they were unfortunate to be at wrong places.

The acting commissioner said the command recovered six arms, including a Beretta and five locally made pistols, 16 live cartridges, six suspected stolen vehicles, motorcycles and illicit drugs, such as cocaine, heroin and marijuana from another operation.
Police source also disclosed that in the last one week, five suspected armed robbers, five kidnappers and three cultists were arrested. An armed robbery suspect died in a gun duel.

Jose Mourinho uncertain on Pogba return

Mourinho is unsure about the severity of Paul Pogba's hamstring injury but has no doubt that Manchester United have the midfield strength to cope without him.

But tuesday's long-awaited Champions League return came at a cost, with the 24-year-old only lasting 19 minutes of the 3-0 victory against Basel.
Pogba had been captaining United for the first time when he pulled up as he challenged for the ball.
He left Old Trafford on crutches and Mourinho is unsure about his absence beyond Sunday's Premier League clash with Everton.

"I don't know, I just know that it's a muscular injury," the United boss said.
"He's obviously out for the weekend match. The weekend match is the only match that I'm thinking about. I don't think further than that.
"So, for me, it's just simple and objective: he's not playing this weekend."
Immediately after the Basel match, Mourinho spoke of his expectation that Pogba - one of the stars of the first few weeks of the season - faces a "few weeks" out.

Despite that the United boss has no doubt his players will step up to the plate.
Michael Carrick, appointed captain in the summer, has yet to play a competitive minute this term, while Ander Herrera - left out of the squad on Tuesday - and Marouane Fellaini offer alternatives.

"We have players and we have players waiting for an opportunity," Mourinho said.
"Because we have started the season really well and with one match per week, [with] no need of resting, [to make] changes, we were basically going with the same players.
"But there are good players more than ready to play, so, honestly, we miss Pogba, we need Pogba, but we have good players.

"Herrera, Fellaini, Carrick - they are waiting for a real chance to start matches and to play matches from the beginning, and they are ready.
"So this is also our way of thinking. We lost important players last season during the season and during crucial moments of the season and we were not crying or making excuses about that.

That's just football.
"Squads are there to try to cope with these kind of situations and we know that for a few matches - I don't know how many, I really cannot tell you how many I expect - but we are going to play without Pogba a few matches."

WOW !!! A pair Identical twins give birth hours apart

The identical twin sisters gave birth in adjoining rooms at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts.: twins-give-birth.png

Identical twin sisters gave birth at the same hospital within hours of each other last month, CBS Boston reports.

Mount Auburn Hospital records revealed that Rachael McGeoch and Beccy Pistone were excited when they found out their due dates were only 13 days apart.
"We talked about how awesome it would be to go into labor the same day and be in the same place," McGeoch said.

Facing the challenge was that McGeoch lives in Charlestown and Pistone lives about two hours away in Brewster on Cape Cod.
"I wanted to give birth by midwife so I chose Mount Auburn Hospital," said McGeoch. "Hoped to convince my sister to do the same, but she lives on the Cape, so she and her husband wanted to have their baby on Cape Cod."

However McGeoch's due date of Aug. 1 came and went. She was induced on Aug. 13, which just happened to be her sister's due date. That's when Pistone and her husband William decided to drive all the way from Cape Cod so the sisters could be together.
"We thought if we could just get together then we would both go into labor," McGeoch said.
It worked! The two sisters gave birth in adjoining rooms at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge.

Interestingly,  McGeoch delivered little William Charles Bubenicek at 10:41 p.m., and at 6:54 p.m., Pistone gave birth to Andi Isabella Pistone on August 15.

Shocking !!! Man on 10-month jail term for arson freed after 11 years

James Ward, who was jailed for 10 months and is still in jail 11 years later

James Ward's family who spent 11 years in prison even though he was jailed for 10 months have vowed to carry on fighting the rules that kept him inside.

The man was given an indeterminate Imprisonment for Public Protection (IPP) which meant he would only be released when officials deemed it safe.
The 32-year-old received the sentence because he had set fire to his bed while serving a one-year jail term for another offence.

His family had made repeated pleas to the Parole Board to release him on the grounds of his repeated self-harm and mental health, but all of their requests were refused.
Ward was finally told he would be freed on Thursday morning, bringing an end to years of battling by his sister April.

IPPs were introduced in 2005 but scrapped in 2012 after then justice secretary Ken Clarke called them a "stain" on the judicial system.

Ms Ward told Sky News she was thrilled when she got the call confirming her brother was coming home.
"I just couldn't stop crying. I was just so overwhelmed with emotion," she said. "It's taken 12 years of hard fighting, for us as a family and for James. It was all emotions today."
Ms Ward said her brother is not planning anything beyond just being able to experience life outside prison - but they are determined to prevent others having to go through what they say they have suffered.

She added: "It ruins the good times, because even when you are trying to celebrate something, it was in the back of my mind that James was sat in a cell, or even in segregation or alone. That... has been absolutely heartbreaking.
"James dreams of walking down the street - the novelty of going to a park. His dreams are very small, as they would be if you had been in prison for 12 years. Together we'll make sure those dreams get bigger."
Ms Ward said she is going to "fight IPP to the very end" with her brother to help other families affected by these sentences.

In a letter sent to his family last year, James said he was losing hope of ever being released.
He had written: "I'm banged up in my cell, all that's in here is a bed, a cupboard, a toilet and a sink.
"I'm going crazy, mum, and I've had enough of this place."
