A father, Segun Durojaiye and his brother,Emmanuel Durojaiye, who allegedly raped his 16-year-old daughter for four years were on Monday charged with incest before a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State.
Segun, 52, who resides at Baba-Benja Street, and Emmanuel, 44, of No. 10, Durojaiye St., all in Oreyo area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, are facing a charge of defilement.
The prosecutor, ASP Ibijoke Akinpelu, told the court that the accused committed the offences between 2014 and 2017 at their residences.
Akinpelu said the father started sleeping with his daughter in 2014 after she confined in him about her uncle’s inappropriate show of affection.
He said after the death of the victim’s stepmother in the same year, she was asked to go and stay a few weeks with her uncle and he began to molest her sexually.
“The victim broke her silence after she had had a series of abortions and was helplessly losing weight from the trauma.
“The case was reported at a police station and the accused were immediately arrested,” she said.

Jose feud is personal - Antonio Conte

Conte has insisted his feud with Jose Mourinho is personal and that nobody should intervene.
The Chelsea boss has vowed "I won't forget" Mourinho's criticism, after the Manchester United manager hit out at Conte over match-fixing.
Conte branded Mourinho a "little man" after Chelsea's goalless FA Cup third round draw at Norwich on Saturday, and has now stood by those comments.
The former Juventus boss insisted he has no regrets over hitting back at Mourinho, but moved to shut down any further discussion of the two managers' falling out.
"Do I have the look of a person with regret? I don't think so," said Conte.
"I think we both said things, and we'll see what happens in the future."
Mourinho escalated the war of words with Conte by claiming he would never be "suspended for match-fixing".
It was a clear reference to Conte's four-month suspension at Juventus in the 2012/13 season for failing to report match-fixing at previous club Siena, but he was completely exonerated of any wrongdoing in 2016.
Asked if the League Managers' Association (LMA) should now step in to try to repair the damage between Conte and Mourinho, the Chelsea boss said: "I think it's not important, the association, you understand. It's not important.
"He said serious words, he has used serious words. And I won't forget this.
"This is not a problem for the club, it's a problem between me and him. Now I stop. Stop."
Ross Barkley is unlikely to be involved however, though Conte hailed the new recruit for settling quickly to his task following his transfer from Everton.
"Tomorrow night I think is very soon, very soon for him," said Conte.
"But we must be pleased because his physical condition is good, and he has started to train with us, understand our football.
"I think that we must be pleased, but he needs a bit of time to work on the physical and tactical aspects. His condition is good, very good."
Asked when Barkley would be ready for action, Conte continued: "I don't know, it's very difficult to say now.
"But at the same time I'm very positive, because the player is a good guy, he's shown great will to work, great desire to help us very soon.
"And I think it's very positive. I'm very happy to have Ross with us for the rest of the season."
Conte is expected to field a strong side for Wednesday's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg clash with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, live on Sky Sports Football.

My wife cooks for her concubine in our home – Father of three

An Idi-Ogungun Customary Court in Ibadan on Tuesday dissolved a 16 -year marriage between Kazeem Adesina, a fashion designer, and his wife, Adijat over conflict.
The defendant, Adesina told the court that the mother of his three children was in the habit of preparing food in her matrimonial home to feed her concubine.
“My Lord, I agree with the divorce suit because I can no longer tolerate her cooking food in my house to feed her concubine.
“I have met her in the man’s car on several occasions but she did not show remorse for her adulterous way of life,’’ Adesina told the court.
Making her submission, the plaintiff told the court that her husband had once stripped her naked before his friends and beaten her.
“There was a particular day he saw me inside a car of my male business partner around 11 pm.
“He accused me wrongly that the man is my concubine and woke me up in the middle of the night to beat me.
“I pray the court to dissolve the marriage because I am tired of his victimisation,’’ she said.
The president of the court, Chief Mukaila Balogun in his judgment, said that evidence adduced before the court by both parties had proven that there was no love between them.
He, therefore, dissolved the marriage and gave custody of the three children from the union to Adijat, the plaintiff.
The court president ordered Kazeem, the defendant to pay his ex-wife N6,000 as monthly upkeep allowance for the children. - Daily Post

No Sanchez approach - Arsenal boss

Arsenal have not received an approach for Alexis Sanchez this month, says Arsene Wenger.
Reports emerged on Monday night that Manchester City will make a fresh £30m bid to sign Sanchez in the current window, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Wenger denied they have received any approach in January and, asked if he expects Sanchez to leave Arsenal, said: "I expect nothing, I am focused on tomorrow's game.
"When solicitations happen you respond, at the moment it's very quiet."
Sanchez is in contention to face Chelsea in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi final, said Wenger, who insisted there was no update on the futures of Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere.
All three players can be approached by foreign clubs as they are within six months of the end of their contracts, but Wenger is unconcerned by interest from abroad.
"It's not a big concern," he said. "I believe that most of the players today want to play in the Premier League.
"The Premier League can pay contracts and wages that no other, apart from maybe three or four clubs abroad, can pay."
Arsenal have made a fresh enquiry for West Brom captain Jonny Evans, according to Sky sources, but face competition from Manchester City for the defender.
Wenger admitted Arsenal would struggle to compete should City make a concrete offer.
"I don't know if Man City is in for anybody, I don't know their policy," said Wenger. "But if the decision comes to finances with Manchester City we know we will be second best. That is well known."
Francis Coquelin could be leaving Arsenal during January, though.
Wenger said it is a "possibility" Coquelin will be depart, but insisted the club have "had no contact with West Ham".
He and Mohamed Elneny are among the targets West Ham are considering to bolster their midfield, according to Sky sources. - Sky Sports

Godfather of thieves !!! Ribadu was poisoned; Nigeria politics dominated by thieves – Obasanjo

The former president Olusegun Obasanjo, yesterday said the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua dismantled structures he had put in place to check and curtail corruption.
OBJ stated that the removal of pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, was the beginning of Yar’Adua’s mistake.
He noted that Yar’Adua had allowed former Delta State governor, James Ibori, to push for the replacement of Ribadu, who he alleged “was poisoned but eventually survived”.
Obasanjo said these in a chat with Thisday.
He, however, expressed regretted the amount of money required in politics nowadays.
“Politics in Nigeria has been dominated by people that have stolen money, that have godfathers or even drug barons, the type we have now at the National Assembly.
“So youths should pool resources to become politically active in order to replace the present crop of leaders and provide better alternatives.
“There must be far reaching reforms to ensure we remove the old order and introduce the new order because Africa is viewed by the Western world as a liability.
“For the eight years I was in power, I tried to reach out to other world leaders using my shuttle diplomacy which attracted positive actions. I campaigned for debt relief which we got and Africa was no longer treated with disdain,” he recalled. - Daily Post

Declare herdsmen as terrorist gang or risk wrath of other militias – Group tells Buhari

The Adamawa United Forum (AUF) has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to declare herdsmen as terrorist gang following their incessant killings across the nation or risk the wrath of other militia groups in the country.
The spokesman of the group, Musa Jekeko, told journalists yesterday in Yola that the recent killings in Numan Local Council of the state and other parts of the country had shown that the herdsmen were deadlier than Boko Haram.
He said: “Looking at their operations from the prism of objectivity, it is high time government designated them as terrorists to check the emergence of other militia groups in our communities.
“Adamawa must remain a peaceful territory, and that depends on the effective handling of security issues in the states.”
“It is no longer in doubt that the Shafuron conflict was generated by a disagreement over the invasion of farmlands by herdsmen and has nothing to do with religious or ethnic cleansing.
“From the information available to us, we have every reason to question the sincerity of government in the handling of the state of insecurity in Numan and its environs.
“The service chiefs should be held responsible for the monumental loss incurred during the conflict both in lives and property due to poor handling of the security situation in the wake of the invasion of communities around Numan by the militias,” Jekeko said.
The AUF official, however, called on the State House to urgently enact an anti-open grazing and ranching bill as part of measures to check the menace. - Daily Post

How UK-based Nigeria born Mega-Rich Pastors Living In Million Pound Homes Prey On Believers With Claims Of Curing Deadly Diseases

A Sun investigation reveals the lavish worlds of Britain's loaded pastors including plush mansions, a £120k birthday party and worshippers thrust thousands of direct debit forms a week
THESE are the mega-rich messengers of God whose churches are raking in millions from their worshippers in some of the poorest parts of Britain.
Pastors Matthew Ashimolowo and Alex Omokudu live in sprawling seven-figure mansions while their huge congregations are told to hand over money often straight from their salaries.
Meanwhile, the preachers lead services in which it is claimed people have been cured of life-threatening illnesses - some of them on the spot.
The Sun found Omokudu continues to promote videos such as one claiming a young boy has been cured of cancer while the pastor places his hands on him. His church has been warned by authorities about potentially exploiting people with serious illnesses.
We witnessed worshippers being told "God wants you to give all your money to him" and warned about showing "disobedience to God" before being handed direct debit forms.

The pastors claim to share their wealth with those who need it but we can reveal the financial dealings which have seen them acquire lavish lifestyles most worshippers can only dream of.
Pastor 'with healing powers from God' lives in £2m mansion as deprived worshippers told 'give your money to Him'
Pastor Alex Omokudu claims to be "heavily anointed with healing powers from God" and his church takes more than £1million a year in donations from his devoted following.
Omokudu moved to the UK from Nigeria in 2002 and launched Victorious Pentecostal Assembly (VPA) three years later.
Today, the 53-year-old - who is called Daddy by his flock - owns a lavish £2million nine-bedroom mansion in leafy Hornchurch, Essex.

The lavish gated mansion includes five reception rooms, a swimming pool, a sauna and a 250ft garden.
He also owns a second £600,000 property a short distance away.
Despite his luxurious lifestyle, his website states: "My wealth belongs to the people, whatever I have I give out. People are suffering and need help."
Meanwhile, worshippers are effectively leaned on to empty their pockets to 'the God of VPA'.
The main church in Barking, East London, is attended by around 5,000 worshippers every week and lies within one of the most deprived areas in the UK.
VPA also operates in run-down parts of Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford and Luton.
Our reporter attended a service at VPA's Barking church and joined thousands of people repeatedly told: "Give your money to God to get ahead of others".
The service started with a number of testimonies of people claiming to have experienced miracles after praying to 'the God of VPA' and requests from those looking for help.
One teenager about to sit his A-level exams was told: "When you enter that exam hall, God will fill your head with the answers".
The congregation was then read a passage from 2 Kings 4 in which a woman finds herself in debt and is told to collect empty containers from her neighbours which God fills with oil to sell.
"Give your money to God to get ahead of others... give your money to God to get ahead of others" repeats the pastor.
A number of similar phrases were repeated as the volume of the music grew slowly in the converted office block.
The pastor added: "God wants you to give all your money to Him.. give all your money to Him.
"There is no excuse not to give your money to God... he sees any money you have coming. You cannot hide money from God.
"The church of VPA and Pastor Alex Omokudu will deliver you prosperity."
As the music built to a crescendo, direct debit forms emerged - and worshippers were told to come to the front and "pay your tithes".
But while vowing to serve the congregation who hand over £1m-a-year, Omokudu also personally takes an annual £102,000 in rent for the church they worship in.
Our investigation found Omokudu bought the property for £1m with the help of a loan from London-based Kenyan national called Kennedy Kulei.
The pastor - who previously described separation as a sin - divorced from his wife of 15 years Patricia last year and three months later married a Russian woman nearly 30 years his junior.
He explained the decision to his followers, saying in an interview: "I have already remarried. I did not want to remarry but God said I should get out of it and consoled me."
A rent-free £1.1m home, an army of 1,000 unpaid volunteers and lavish spending sprees with church cash including a £120k birthday party
Matthew Ashimolwo, 65, launched Kingsway International Christian Centre in 1992 from a rented hall.

Twenty-five years later the church also has £16.4m in assets, £500,000 in the bank and rakes in more than £8m in revenue a year.
Videos show him asking his worshippers to place their hands on parts of their body where they are afflicted by diseases before saying "every sickness and disease in your body I command it to leave you" before telling them "you have no sicknesses and diseases".
KICC - which mainly operates in Walthamstow and the recently-acquired 'Prayer City' building in Chatham, Kent -  takes £6.3m a year from tithing, where the congregation gives up 10 per cent of its salary.
The church also has an army of 1,000 volunteers who provide it with more than 300,000 hours of free labour, worth more than £2m-a-year.
But while claiming to 'pass on his riches' Ashimolowo - described as the church's 'founder, visionary and senior pastor' - lives rent free in a £1.1m nine-bedroom home in Romford, Essex, owned by the church.
Documents obtained by The Sun show the property was purchased by the charity with no mortgage.
The Nigerian-born pastor lives with wife Yemisi, 58, who is also a senior pastor at the church and believed to earn more than £60,000-a-year from her role.
The couple owns a second £600,000 home in Grays, Essex, currently lived in by their son.
Ashimolowo has previously been found by the Charity Commission to have used church funds to pay for a £120,000 birthday party for himself at a London hotel, an £80,000 new Mercedes and a £13,000 Florida timeshare.
He was also paid around £50,000-a-year by the church for 'pastoral services' before the 2005 probe found he had flouted charity rules by being a trustee and paying himself a salary.
The Charity Commission found there had been 'serious misconduct and mismanagement' of charity funds and told it to establish itself as a new charity with new trustees - which it did.
More than £500,000 was also legally paid by the church to his own private companies including Matthew Ashimolowo Media Ministries which publishes books and DVDs of his teachings.
Accounts show the publishing company raked in more than £2 million - making a profit of £877,000 - between 1999 and 2005 before it started filing less detailed financial statements under Companies House rules.
Speaking about his wealth in an interview this year, Ashimolowo said: "Money is called currency because it flows to where it is celebrated, to wherever it is respected and showed it is needed and can be handled well.
"Anything God blesses me with I just use to bless others. I don’t stack it somewhere."
But when Sun Online attended his church, a run-down converted cinema in Walthamstow, East London, more than 10 miles from Ashimolowo's plush home, the service felt more like a sales pitch.
The sermon, entitled 'The Power of the Tithe', listed 14 reasons why worshippers should donate 10 per cent of their income to the church.
Ashimolowo told the congregation: "If you do not pay the tithe, it is like you do not really trust God".
He labelled the money an "insurance against Satan" and warned of the dire consequences of non-payment.
The millionaire - estimated to be worth around £6 million by Forbes magazine in 2011 - says refusal to hand over hundreds of pounds a month will be seen by God as "disobedience" and result in it making "impossible for him to release your harvest". - The SUN, UK.
