OMG !!! Nigeria Policemen allegedly sell detainees for N80,000 per person to ritualists – Kwara community
Kwara State Police Commissioner, Lawan Ado, yesterday said the command had redeployed policemen at the Adewole Police Division in Ilorin, over an allegation against them.
He explained that some residents had alleged that some of the policemen in the division had been selling suspects detained at the station to ritual killers for N 80, 000 per person.

PL news : Alan Pardew favourite for Leicester City job following their coach dismissal
After Craig Shakespeare was sacked on Tuesday afternoon, less than 24 hours after his side drew 1-1 away to West Brom. Alan Pardew has emerged as the bookies' favourite to become the next Leicester City boss.
He has been out of management since December 2016 after being dismissed by Crystal Palace, but now finds himself the front-runner for the vacant job at the King Power Stadium.
The result meant the Foxes were winless after six Premier League games, and was clearly enough reason for the Leicester chiefs to dismiss Claudio Ranieri's successor. Other top contestants are Guus Hiddink, Gary Rowett, Nigel Pearson and Sam Allardyce
See the American woman who becomes a princess after marrying Ethiopian prince she met in a nightclub
Ariana Austin, now 33, was on a night out with a friend when they were approached by Joel Makonnen in the Pearl nightclub.
Fairytales are not known for beginning in a Washington DC nightclub, but for this American woman it was where she met the Ethiopian prince who would go on to become her husband.
“I said: ‘You guys look like an ad for Bombay Sapphire',” he told The New York Times about their first encounter.
“Not even five minutes later I said: 'You're going to be my girlfriend'.”
What he didn't reveal that night 12-years ago, was that plain old Joel was actually Prince Joel, the great-grandson of Haile Selassie I, Ethiopia's last emperor.
The pair married in a lavish Ethiopian Orthodox Christian wedding with 13 priests, two crowns and a pair of capes on 9 September.
But after the couple started dating seriously, Mr Makonnen, who works as a lawyer, eventually revealed his royal heritage.
Born in Rome, his parents Prince David Makonnen and Princess Adey Imru Makonnen, had been forced to live in exile after a communist coup in his homeland.
His father had escaped the bloodshed in his homeland because he was studying abroad at the time. The family subsequently settled in Switzerland.
Mr Makonnen is related to Haile Selassie I through the emperor’s second son Prince Makonnen.
Art's curator, Ms Austin told the newspaper it is an “unbeatable heritage and history” that “combines sheer black power and ancient Christian tradition”.
The royal family traces its roots back to the Biblical King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.
Banker's ex-girlfriend dumped his $55,000 Mercedes into a swimming pool over his refusal to support her business plan
Guy Gentile, Bahamas-based banker broke up with Russian model Kristina Kuchma over dinner at a restaurant over the weekend — and she certainly got her revenge.
He broke up with 24-year-old Kuchma during dinner at a restaurant after she asked for $50,000 (£38,000) to help start up a marketing business venture. They had been together for a year and a half.
Having already bought her a Gucci bag, a new iPhone, and Beats headphones as a birthday gift, he thought the request "blurred the lines" between business and romance, he told The New York Post.
"I said, 'You know what? You got the wrong guy. If you want a guy who’s going to hand you money for nothing, you got the wrong guy,'" he reportedly said.
Gentile claims she then threw hot green tea in his face, and stormed off with the keys to his $55,000 Mercedes.
The man, who runs a brokerage, told The New York Post that Kuchma drove his Mercedes into the backyard swimming pool and it took four hours to fish it out.
When asked about the incident, he said: "I must accept some responsibility, if a woman is not crazy, she doesn't love you. And I must've drove her crazy for her to have drove my car into the pool!"
Kuchma reportedly texted Gentile in broken English the night after crashing the car stating: "Lier! You told me you will help me to start a business! That were your words! Now you want to be an investor??? Well investor I have a surprise for you on a backyard, start with that investment idea first."
He said that his "heart dropped because of [fears she was inside]. I didn’t care about the car at that moment. But after I realized she wasn’t in it, then I start to get pissed off that she would pull something like this after everything I’ve done for her."
He said he came home the next morning to find his Mercedes S400 hybrid in the backyard pool.
"I dumped her. She dumped my car."
"I really loved this girl and would have married her, but she went too far," Gentile said.
Police confirmed to The Post that a police report was made, and Kuchma was the only other person with access to the car, according to Gentile.
Abami Eda was my most interesting client – Falana
Human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), has said the late Afrobeat maestro, Fela Anikulapo, remains his most interesting client.
He recalled that Fela used to walk up to him to inform him ahead of his plans to violate the law, telling him to get ready to defend him in court.
According to Falana, Fela had a penchant for breaking the law, but he got away with a lot of violations because he always prepared his defence ahead.
A video clip circulating on the Facebook captured Falana as saying this during a lecture organised as part of the activities marking this year’s Felabration and Fela’s 79th birthday, which was marked post-humously.
Falana said, “I was Fela’s lawyer and I can tell you here, he’s been my most interesting client.
“Fela, for many of us, had propensity for criminality – for many people. But here was a guy, Fela would tell you, ‘Femi, I wan commit this offence’. ‘Ah, no nao’. And he would say, ‘No, I am going to breach the new colonial law, it’s your business to defend me’. And as far as Fela was concerned, he would do it. And one thing I found very interesting was that he would have done his own work, all you then needed to do as lawyer was just to look for the law to back up his own defence – a defence that you cannot challenge in any court. And that was how Fela got away with a lot of violations of the legal system.”
He also recalled how Fela spiritedly fought the military and campaigned against the white colonialists by delivering lectures and circulating a book titled, “How Europe Underdeveloped Africa,’ among undergraduates in the Nigerian universities.
Falana said, “As an undergraduate, one of the most valuable books I ever came across was ‘How Europe Underdeveloped Africa,’ by Walter Rodney. Fela it was who circulated and publicised that book in Africa.
As far as Fela was concerned, that book had to be a compulsory read for every African undergraduate. You hardly would find such a book now. Fela would come to campuses with lorryload of books. Fela, in two years, delivered about 60 lectures on our campuses in the 80s, just to challenge Africans to drop our colonial names; to challenge us to decolonise our minds. Fela fought the African soldiers. Fela knew soldiers were a danger and Fela told all of us when soldiers invade a town, they loot, they rape, they steal and that, therefore, we have to fight the army.'' - Punch

Photo : Pay and get your deliverance church in Calabar
The controversial Cool FM On Air Personality, OAP Daddy Freeze, has shared a copy of receipt of “deliverance fee” paid by a member of a church in Calabar, Cross Rivers State.
The church is identified as “The God Spirit Touch Church INT’L” which charges their church member a fee before deliverance is made.
Freeze shared the receipt on his Instagram page and called on worshippers to follow the standard set by Jesus Christ instead of wasting their resources all in the name of searching for deliverance.
He called out preachers, saying, “Is there no end to this obtuse buffoonery? This generation preachers is an indignation to the body of Christ.”
Fees are not limited to deliverance alone as it is alleged that they charge for almost everything the church services render.
