2019 Elections : Political Defection Is Just For Personal Interest And Self Enrichment

Image result for crisis in nigeria national assembly

This issue of this defection is becoming more embarrassing and disgraceful.

No defector can come out and vouch that his/her decision is based on principle or constituency's consultation. All the politicians that defected based their reason on crisis within their current party, and bandwagon effect (follow follow) and voice of God

All the time, many of this crisis in political parties are not about liberating poor masses from poverty and making their life better but is about personal interests involving juicy appointments, political ambition and the rest

It is gradually becoming an election cycle event and norm for selfish politicians and political parties. Defection has been turned to a weapon of personal and political interest with sole aim of grabbing power from the current holders

The same scenario that played out in 2014 is taking place again in 2018. Overview of 2014 defection has shown that poor masses/ political supporters are at receiving end. Majority of these defectors have no political ideology and sense of responsibility. They have turned their political supporters and the masses to pawn in the game of politics

All these set of people from Kwankwaso to Saraki to Ortom and others engaged in the political transfer in 2014 and now back to the same party they left four years ago

My question is what has change

What we should ask ourselves is what have they done in the last four years to uplift their states, constituencies and the masses at large

The governors among these defectors should explain to us how they have raised the standard of living of their various states especially on education, healthcare delivery and water supply.

Your guess is as good as mine.....they have done nothing

The lawmakers among them also have done nothing to initiate and approve bills that will lessen the financial burden on the masses and impact positively on majority like bill supporting free healthcare, free education, disability supports, elderly supports, farmers' supports and so on

The only people they support without bill are political thugs and criminals....you recollect the OFFA robbery and Saraki's role

Their best is providing sub-standard grinding machines, tailoring machines, motorcycles to their constituents, this is nothing but counter productive. This will not reduce poverty level among the people. What the people need is sustainable supports.

At the moment the Nigeria politics is about personal business and money making venture. The majority of these defectors are law makers that are supposed to be the conscience and engine room of the governance instead they are 'legislooter' that are after money sharing and budget padding.

Seriously our democracy is at risk as a result of this and other associated problems because there is no political ideology and selfless politicians

In a civilized clime, a political defector will resign from his/her post and re contest for the same position on another political platform. But in this part of our world we have no integrity to go by the simple rule

The two majority parties, APC and PDP have failed to delivered on their promises. Both parties have no honorary person among them. The latter party is the worse because they wasted sixteen years doing nothing in power from 1999 to 2015.

So cross carpeting and political defection without following the laid down rules means nothing to them

My own take is that with the set of greedy and reckless political defectors there is no light at the end of the tunnel for Nigerians if they manage to smuggle themselves back to power. Nigerians should stop celebrating over this issue and arise for their survival. - Irunmole-nla

Shocking !!! I slept with my biological son - Mother confesses

A 47-year-old Mrs. Veronica Iorshe, from Howe, Ugee Council Ward, Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State has revealed how she slept with her own biological son and eventually took in for him.
Mrs. Iorshe said she slept with her son just to save her marriage.
Recalling how she was able to lure her son to perform the incestuous act with her, the woman told Vanguard, “I am not a loose woman. I am just a woman who loves her husband very much and didn’t want to lose him.
“I did what I did to save my marriage, though I feel guilty about it. It was not easy but I slept with my first son from my first husband so that I could give my husband a child. But rather than sustaining my marriage, the plan has scattered it and I have lost it.
“I got married to my husband eight years ago. We had no child. The worst was that I never got pregnant even for one day. When I discovered that I was no longer getting younger, I was worried as much as he and his parents were. His mother became so impatient that she started breathing down my neck as she gave me no breathing space at all. She said that I was cheating on her son, using his son’s money to maintain myself, that I’m older than his son.
“She moved in to live with us and practically made life in my matrimonial home unbearable for me. At a point, she stopped talking to me. The only time she would talk to me was when she wanted to insult me and remind me of how less a woman I was. I was confused, more so when my husband refused to submit himself to a medical test to ascertain the source of the problem, though we loved each other before the heavy pressure from his mum came.
“We used to have serious lovemaking sessions especially during my ovulation period all in the bid to get pregnant so that my mother-in-law could stop humiliating me. Yet, I couldn’t get pregnant. I started suspecting the problem could be from my husband when he refused to subject himself to medical test.
“But the insult from my mother-in-law was getting too much, too unbearable for me. She vowed to frustrate me out of her son’s home. To make things worse, she sent away my son saying that he has no business staying in the house. I had to look for a one-room apartment for him in Lafia.
“After he left, it was just three of us in the house in Awe, which is a distance away from Lafia. I was always terrified each time I heard her voice from a distance. She tried to frustrate my meat market in Awe. In fact, the only time that I had peace was when I went to the market.
“It is so agonizing to say this. Instead of testing someone else to ascertain my fertility, I seduced and slept with my son. Simon is a young man in his early 20s; he has not started sleeping with women before I lured him into making love with me.”
On how the incestuous act started, she recalled this, “I started by buying good things for him, sleeping together on the same bed, playing with his manhood and gradually one thing led to another. There was a time I asked him if he had tested sex before and he said no. I compelled him to take an oath not to disclose it to anybody. I said I would teach him sex. I ensured that I did that during my ovulation period. I never disclosed the reason for this but deep in my mind, I wanted to test my fertility.
“I planned it during my ovulation so that I could get pregnant, although it was not easy sleeping with a son. I knew I was doing the wrong thing and betraying my husband but I saw it as a necessary action to save my marriage. I didn’t want to go out sleeping with another man outside. I knew it was wrong but I prefer it from my son than a man outside. After one month, I discovered that I was pregnant.”
Asked if she will abort the child or keep it, Veronica revealed she will keep the child, saying: “It is blood within my blood.”
On his part, Sebastian expressed his disappointment over his wife’s betrayal and vowed never to forgive her.

“I don’t want to believe the story she is narrating to you that her son is responsible for it, though I have not suspected her or seen any sign that an outsider was dating her. But the truth is that I’m not responsible for the pregnancy and will not allow her into my house. It is a shame for me to be associated with a mess like this. Please, I don’t want to talk about it anymore; she is no longer my wife.” - Daily Post

PL news : Petr Cech enjoying new Arsenal approach despite City loss

Unai Emery: Arsenal head coach Unai Emery

Cech is embracing Arsenal's new tactical approach under Unai Emery despite losing to Premier League champions Manchester City in the Spaniard's first competitive game in charge.
Goals from Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva condemned Arsenal to a 2-0 defeat at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, with Pep Guardiola's side easing to victory.
Arsenal attempted to press City deep in their own half, while displaying a determination to patiently play out from the back when attempting to build attacking moves.
Cech, who captained the side and was preferred to new signing Bernd Leno in goal, did not always appear comfortable with the ball at his feet but the veteran goalkeeper insists he is adapting to Emery's methods as Arsenal move on from the Arsene Wenger era.
"I enjoy it. I've played under different managers, different styles and most of my career I was asked to play long," Cech told Sky Sports.
"I think it's very useful when you want to be the team who create. You need to create this superiority at the back when you build up using the goalkeepers.
"They are used to playing a high press and they did it well but I think we did pretty well over the course of the game."
Arsenal saw Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have a goal correctly ruled out for offside, while both sides were wasteful in the final third, City failing to take numerous chances to extend their lead.
"It could have been more, it could have been less," Cech said of the result. "In the second half we managed to force them to make some mistakes with their build-up and we had some opportunities to counter-attack.
"In the last 30 yards we lacked a bit of invention to have a good touch and finish the action off. When you play against a team with such quality and the confidence of being champions from the last season it was always going to be difficult.
"In the end, inevitably, you can make a few mistakes. But I thought we did pretty well and it's a shame we could finish some of the half-chances in the second half. It's our first game together like that with the new manager, a new way of playing and I think it's going to help us to grow." - Goal

Pl news : Klopp not surprised by impressive Keita debut

keita-cropped: Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita

Jurgen Klopp was not surprised by Naby Keita's impressive Liverpool debut against West Ham, as he always expected the midfielder to settle in quickly at his new club.
Guinea international Keita was signed by Liverpool last year for a reported £53million, though he stayed at RB Leipzig for the 2017-18 season.
Liverpool's midfield was often said to be a problem area in the last campaign due to a lack of creativity following the departure of Philippe Coutinho, while they were also hampered at times by injuries.
But Keita produced an all-action display as the Reds hammered West Ham 4-0 at Anfield on Sunday, benefiting from the hard work of his team-mates to make an instant impact.
"Absolutely a good performance, of course," Klopp said about Keita in his post-match news conference.
"After six weeks in I don't make the difference between a new player and another player because for me, it is of similar importance to Millie [James Milner] and Gini [Georginio Wijnaldum] are ready to make the next step in their development as well.
"So Naby is in because he's a really good footballer and I've said it from the beginning that he's obviously settled really quick and has a similar style of play in a similar position as he did at Leipzig.
"He can play different positions of course, but I think No.8 is his best in the moment, so that's all cool.
"He has a lot of help from the players around. Sadio [Mane] works really hard and the same with Gini and Millie and Robbo [Andrew Robertson] in this case, so that's really good. I'm pleased, absolutely, but actually that's what we expected." - Goal

Igbos only good at pulling people down, they don’t value their own – Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has claimed that Igbo are only interested in pulling down people and do not know how to honour their own.
Okorocha said whenever he comes out to contest for president, he gets support from the South West, South South and even the North; but rejected by his own South East region.
The governor spoke while answering question on Igbo presidency when he met with media chieftains in Owerri, the Imo State capital at the weekend.
Okorocha said that any Igbo indigene aspiring to achieve the feat of being the president of Nigeria cannot rely on Igbos.
The governor said “The Igbo do not know how to honour their own. They rather like to run down any of their rising leaders. The pull-him-down syndrome is high in Igbo land. And it is very unfortunate.
“Anytime I come out to run for the presidency of this country, I will not suffer pull-him-down from the North or from the South West or South South, it is only in Igbo land that I will suffer it.
“And they engage in this pull-him-down practice without knowing the overall implications on the Igbos.
“So, it will be out of place for an Igbo aspirant at any given period to think that the Igbo will make him president because Igbos do not value their own. They don’t value what they have.
“But value outsiders. It is in their character. It is in their nature.
“Read the newspapers and go to the social media, all the insults and attacks you get are all from the Igbo. They go to any length to run you down without caring about your good intentions and all the efforts being made to see that things work out fine for the people of the area.
“It is a problem. It didn’t start today. Go down the memory lane, you would discover that the pull-him-down syndrome in Igboland didn’t start today.” - Daily Post
