Man filled with thanks and appreciation after he and his wife survived a horrific motor accident in Lagos. The man identified as Imuzeze Enahoro and his beautiful wife, Ife on Saturday, April 29, were rescued miraculously after being involved in the multiple accident .

The husband later took to his Facebook wall to thank God for sparing his life and that of his wife with the caption:

What a great God we serve. With his miraculous hands he saved my wife and I from a ghastly accident yesterday morning on Kudirat Abiola way. God's mercy prevailed over our lives and we thank God that we are still alive. Just help us to give all praises to God who delivered us from the hands of death. Hallelujah...

Armed couple arrested after deadly shooting spree near Los Angeles

Police have arrested an armed couple they say fit the description of a man and woman sought in a weekend shooting spree near Los Angeles that left one man dead and at least three other people injured, authorities said on Sunday.

The apparently random series of shootings began on Saturday afternoon following a carjacking and stretched over a five-hour period in several locations between the communities of Whittier and La Mirada a few miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.

Whittier police and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department have provided few details of the shootings, which investigators were still trying to piece together on Sunday afternoon.

One man was shot and wounded on the street by gunfire from a passing vehicle, and at least two other victims were injured nearby when suspects opened fire on their car, Whittier police said. Another man was fatally shot in a third attack investigators now suspect was linked to the others.
The sport utility vehicle believed to have been seized from its owner at gunpoint and used at the outset of the shootings was found abandoned on Saturday evening, while the suspects remained at large.

Whittier police responding to yet another report of a shooting at a hotel found a man and woman, both injured and armed, in a different stolen car, police Lieutenant Bryan Ellis said. They were arrested on suspicion of automobile theft and illegal possession of a handgun, according to Ellis.
The pair, who were not publicly identified, were under investigation for possible connection to the hotel gunfire and earlier shootings in the area, but were not listed as suspects in those cases as yet, Ellis said.

A statement posted online by the sheriff's department said, however, that the couple arrested "matched the description" of the duo sought as suspects in Saturday's shooting spree.

I ended up putting it on eBay and made over $100 because it was a vintage Little Tikes dollhouse. It was well-loved by my daughter, my niece (now 20) and originally by my brother-in-law's niece (now 27). Now a lovely little girl in Illinois will enjoy it!'

When Josh Ferrin of Bountiful, Utah went poking around the garage of the new home he'd recently purchased, he came across a 'hidey-hole' in the ceiling filled with boxes of rolled up cash. After he and his family spent a few hours counting up the $45,000 worth of loot he decided to return it all to the previous owners. 'I've got two boys and we teach them to be honest and to do what is right and I knew this was a teachable moment that I would never get back again,' Ferrin told ABC News.

A hidden drawer that looked like it was a part of furniture turned out to be full of bling from Civil War medals to diamond rings. Hitting pay dirt like that may make some people find the nearest auction house, but Knodell was more excited to return the treasure to the family that owned the chest. 'I bought the chest of drawers; I didn't buy (the secret contents),' he told the newspaper. 'The deceased man's family needed to have the opportunity to decide what they wanted to do with the items.' Historical shopping lists

Sometimes even an antique shopping list can have historical value. A 400-year-old scrap of paper was discovered listing pewter spoons, a frying pan, and 'greenfish.' The paper was wedged under the floorboards of Knole, a historic country home in Kent, England. A volunteer with the archaeology team at Knole that was restoring the house made the discovery. Two 17th century letters were also found under another attic floorboard and stuffed into the ceiling. The Smithsonian notes the full text reads: Mr Bilby, I pray p[ro]vide to be sent too morrow in ye Cart some Greenfish, The Lights from my Lady Cranfeild[es] Cham[ber] 2 dozen of Pewter spoon[es]: one greate fireshovell for ye nursery; and ye o[t]hers which were sent to be exchanged for some of a better fashion, a new frying pan together with a note of ye prises of such Commoditie for ye rest. Gary Whyte of Mountainside, New Jersey was cleaning out his mother's house after she died when he came across what looked like some old newspapers she'd stashed away. 'I found a large envelope with two original newspapers. One was the New York Daily News with the day one story on JFK's assassination,' says Whyte. 'The other was a full New York Times 1912 newspaper with the 'Sinking of the Titanic.'' That full New York Times newspaper was recently framed by the Liberty Science Center and placed in the Titanic Exhibit for seven months. Items from the doomed ship have fascinated collectors for years. One of the most heart wrenching scenes from the 1997 James Cameron movie Titanic (and there were many) features the band playing on as the doomed ship sinks. This is based on true survivor recollections about of the disaster. The violin played by the bandmaster of the Titanic, Wallace Hartley, was rumored to have been found strapped to his body as he floated out to sea. But it wasn't until 2006 that the sentimental and historical instrument was unearthed in an attic. Rigorous testing by Henry Aldridge and Son proved the violin to be Hartley's. In 2013, it sold for $1.7 million. A letter Wallace Hartley wrote to his parents during his first day on the Titanic also sold for $185,968.80. 'This is a fine ship & there ought to be plenty of money on her,' he wrote. 'We have a fine band & the boys seem very nice.'

A rare copy of the Declaration of Independence found across the Atlantic

The New York Post reported researchers discovered a copy of the Declaration of Independence in storage at a record office in southern England. According to a press release from Harvard University, the document being called 'The Sussex Declaration,' apparently dates back to the 1780s. It is believed to have once belonged to the Third Duke of Richmond, known as the 'Radical Duke' for his support of the Americans during the Revolution. The historic find is on the same 'ornamental scale' as the Matlack Declaration, housed in the National Archives, the release said. In August 2015 researcher Emily Sneff, of the Declaration Resources Project, was attempting to create a database on every known edition of the Declaration, she told The Harvard Gazette. The document caught her attention because of the catalog listing that it was a manuscript on parchment. Her and Harvard's Danielle Allen began to investigate. After reviewing a photo of the document from the archives she realized it was different than any other copy she had ever seen before. 'When I looked at it closely, I started to see details, like names that weren't in the right order—John Hancock isn't listed first, there's a mark at the top that looks like an erasure, the text has very little punctuation in it—and it's in a handwriting I hadn't seen before,' she added. 'As those details started adding up, I brought it to Danielle's attention and we realized this was different from any other copy we had seen.' The researchers will continue to study how the document reached England, as well as attempt to decipher some text that appears to be scraped away at the top of the parchment, according to the Gazette. - Reader's Digest

Facebook killer Steve Stephens ex-girlfriend speaks after he blamed her for his actions

Steve Stephens' former girlfriend revealed he left voicemails promising her he could be a better man before he opened fire on a stranger in the middle of the street.

Stephens told 74-year-old Robert Godwin Sr. to repeat the name "Joy Lane" before shooting him dead and posting footage of the killing to Facebook on April 16.

Now Joy Lane, Stephens' former girlfriend, is sharing voicemail messages he left her in the days before the murder.
According to  Inside Edition,the message said

"I'm motivated to just strive to be the best in life now,"I'm really motivated."

Lane lived with Stephens, 37, for three years. Two days before the murder, they were still living together and everything seemed fine, she said.

But she said Stephens had a gambling habit that caused friction in their relationship, and she gave him an ultimatum: "It's me or the gambling."

In the video of the killing, Stephens says he's carrying out the murder in her name.

"Are there people out there who blame you?" Inside Edition's Les Trent asked her.

"Yes," she responded.

She added that she's haunted by the fact Stephens tried to call her twice before he killed Godwin and then disappeared.

"I have no idea what he was going to say," she said. "The police said that I should not text him but I did anyway. He did not get back to me."

Police moved Lane and her three children to a hotel for their safety, fearful that Stevens would come after them. But three days after the killing, he was seen in Eerie, Pa., and killed himself following a police chase.

Toddler laughs as five firefighters try to free him from locked car

The firefighters in Cornwall have rescued a toddler who had locked himself in his mother’s car, while the child looked on with great amusement.

His mother, Kirsty Green, was loading the car with shopping in Bude when she realised 14-month-old son Brandon had activated the car’s central locking system.

A grinning Brandon can be seen clutching the steering wheel of the car while the rescue team attempt to free him.

"I was a bit panicky at first, wondering how I was going to get him out, but luckily a few other shoppers quickly came to help me out, and one lady working in Lidl phoned 101," his mother said.

Ms Green described the rescue crews from Bude Community Fire Station as “amazing” and “a credit to the community”.

The fire crews were at first using small hand tools to try and free the toddler. But after crew members observed him put a two pence coin in his mouth, they smashed the car's rear window and climbed through.

Ms Green said she started to panic, worrying that Brandon might choke on the coin.
Bude Community Fire Station said on Twitter: "Whilst one pump was dealing with the scrap fire another appliance was mobilised to an infant locked in a car..."

"You can see that our Watch Manager is a natural; keeping the infant entertained whilst crews gained entry."

Klitschko wants immediate Joshua rematch

Wladimir Klitschko has expressed his interest in an immediate rematch with Anthony Joshua after suffering a dramatic 11th-round stoppage defeat at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

The 41-year-old Ukrainian fought back from a fifth-round knockdown and seemed on the brink of victory when he dropped Joshua in the sixth, but the British heavyweight bounced back to send his opponent to the canvas twice in the penultimate round.

In the aftermath of an epic fight, Klitschko confirmed a rematch clause, and would welcome a second chance to try and regain the IBF and WBA “super” titles, which are currently held by Joshua.

Firm slammed for offering NAKED maid service at £85-an-hour, or £65 for a topless cleaner

A naked maid service has been criticised for offering topless cleaning on a holiday island. 
Maid on the Isle of Wight charges customers £85 an hour for a naked woman to clean their home, while a topless maid costs £65.

The firm also offers nude hostesses or butlers, ladies dressed as French maids and even allows people to get naked themselves while watching a clothed cleaner work.

A naked male cleaner costs £75 an hour.
While the company's website informs prospective customers that staff are all equipped with personal alarms and cannot be touched, the Isle of Wight Domestic Abuse Support Hub has slammed the service.

Charity chief executive Fiona Gwinnett, 56, said: "I can't believe this is happening on the Isle of Wight. I was horrified when it was brought to my attention.

"I'm not a killjoy by any stretch of the imagination and I can certainly understand why you would get someone else to do the cleaning for you, because it's not my favourite chore.

"But with my professional head on, this just smacks of exploitation.
"There's no doubt that people will see this as an easy way to earn some money, for example if someone has had their benefits sanctioned and needs to feed their family.

"From the company's website, I see it is being dressed up as voyeurism and a bit of harmless fun, but there are dangers.

"They say their staff have personal safety alarms, but I can't quite think where you'd keep it if you are cleaning in the nude.

"It seems to me this is the sex industry under another name. It would be interesting to see how many of their staff are actually men.

But the company clearly reminds people they cannot touch any of the staff they hire for cleaning or entertaining.

How Abba Kyari Exploits President Buhari's Poor Health

Mr. Abba Kyari, President Muhammadu Buhari's controversial Chief of Staff, is exploiting the President's ill-health, sources have told SaharaReporters. Mr. Kyari, disclosed sources, has prevented the suspension of Mr.  Jalal Arabi, Permanent Secretary of the State House from taking effect, as ordered by President Buhari.          

Sources told SaharaReporters that Mr. Arabi has been suspended by the President, but the suspension was stopped from taking effect by Mr. Kyari, to whom the Permanent Secretary is very close.

The President was said to have suspended Mr. Arabi over a series of indiscretions, which included his refusal to pay State House staff for up to six months. He was said to have since paid much of the arrears, leaving only two months outstanding. Mr. Arabi is said to owe his position to the Chief of Staff.

Sources told SaharaReporters that Mr. Arabi failed the examination into the Permanent Secretary cadre, but Mr. Kyari facilitated his appointment without an interview.

His failure to pay State House workforce on time was said to have sparked widespread misgivings among the staff, many of whom have9o the finances seriously stretched.
Mr. Arabi is said to be a brother-in-law to Mr. Adamu Muazu, former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who owned the building in which $45million was recently discovered in Ikoyi, Lagos, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Mr. Kyari, said sources, has ensured a slash in the budget of the President's office, a development that the staff are not happy about.                      

"Everybody in the Villa is now suffering. They fuel their cars from their pockets and of course travel as much as six times without estacode," said a source.   The lean situation, added the source, has forced many of the staff to start seeking transfer from the Villa.

The staff explained that the budget slash was done to clip the wings of the President's wife, Aisha, whose office has no budget and is solely reliant on the President's.                                                            

Villa sources told SaharaReporters that Mr. Kyari, his blue-eyed boy,  Mr. Arabi, and other members of the kitchen cabinet are taking full advantage of the President's failing health. They are said to be the ones behind the plot not to take him abroad for further treatment.

This is so sad! Former Miss Charismatic Nigeria 2013 and top model, Yewande Baruwa, is dead. The 23 year old Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) graduate died in the late hours of Friday April 29th after suffering internal bleeding.

The Halo star, who is pregnant with twins, skipped the red carpet at the California African-American Museum but did share a photo of her outfit on her website Beyonce.com.

Looking every inch the Queen Bey, her hair was adorned with an elaborate crown made of flowers, imitation butterflies and a diamond dragonfly.

Boy suffers terrible face burnt after neighbour spills fuel on him

A boy, simply identified as Michael has sustained severe face injuries from a burnt, after a neighbor spilled fuel on him. He is currently hospitalized at the Burns Unit National Hospital, Abuja.

According to Facebook user Dooshima Dennis:

"A neighbour was fuelling her generator set and in the process fuel spilt on him. Being a little boy that he is (ignorant), he never knew the gravity of what’s about to happen to him when he got home and his mum asked him to bring the candle from the sitting room.

"Little did she know that his cloth had sprinkles of fuel on it. That’s how disaster happened and his cloth caught fire.

"But thank God he’s alive, we can all find a reason to celebrate the love and joy we share.

"Micheal suffered burns on his face, chest, arms and hands. Thank God his surgery was a success and most importantly he’s a survivor. I’m so so filled with joy that the surgery (plastic) performed on him was successful and he’s recovering fast.

"It was emotional for me today on seeing him but I felt an overwhelming sense of happiness within me and its very comforting for my team and I.

"I was even happier when he spoke with me (butterflies in my belly) really excited I spent my birthday with him last month, you can see the photo of him up and his face is clearer now."

Nigerian Rapper Saucekid AKA Sinzu Reportedly in Prison on Theft Charges, New Report Reveals

Rapper Saucekid (AKA Sinzu) is reportedly languishing in an American jail, Starboy artiste Willybang has revealed.

Yesterday, the singer took to social media to share a heartfelt photo of the rapper with the caption “#FreeSinzu Miss my G”, prompting massive conversation, especially among folks  who have worried about Saucekid’s sudden disappearance from social media.

A quick check revealed that the Nigerian rapper has been confined in an Idaho jail following a July 2016 arrest on grand theft auto charges.

This is not the first time Saucekid would be arrested on theft charges.

According to NET, the rapper was arrested (for the 3rd time) in 2014 for ATM fraud but he emerged later and blamed the “rumour ” on his former friend Godwon, with whom he had a beef at the time.

With the recent arrest, a quick check revealed the mugshot, noting that he has been locked up since July 2016. His last tweet was made on July 14, 2016, few days before his prison record appeared.

It is unclear how long the rapper will stay in jail. However, Nigerian fans are hoping he will be out soon.

Arsenal manager, Wenger walks out of interview

Arsene Wenger walked out of his post-match interview with Sky Sports following the Gunners' 2-0 defeat at Tottenham on Sunday.

"The biggest disappointment for us is to not be in the fight, at this period of the season, for the championship.

A 24-year-old Massachusetts Institute of Technology graduate and New Jersey native reportedly plunged to his death while climbing the Boston school’s iconic dome.

Nicholas Paggi, 24, reportedly fell multiple stories from the “Great Dome” while scaling the prank hot spot on Tuesday night, according to WBZ-TV.

The victim’s grief-stricken mother said on Thursday her son and a pal “jimmied a lock” to access the century-old rooftop.
Helga Paggi told the Boston television station that her son “slipped going back up to the other side of the roof.”

Paggi added that she’s “inconsolable and quite in shock” over her son’s death.
MIT’s student newspaper reports that the promising engineer graduated with two degrees in computer science and physics in 2015 and was working at Ab Initio Software, a data processing firm based in Lexington.

Additionally, Paggi continued to work with the prestigious university as a consultant.
It’s unclear why Paggi attempted to scale the historic rooftop, which scales 150 feet.

The Boston landmark is often targeted by student pranksters, including one group that celebrated the moon landing anniversary in 2009 by hoisting a replica Apollo Lunar Modules to the dome’s roof.

A MIT spokeswoman said Paggi’s death appeared to be an accident.

On Saturday, Paggi's family opened a GoFundMe page for a scholarship expected to help college applicants in his memory. The fund would be for students at Monsignor Donovan High School, in Toms River, N.J., where Paggi attended. - NYDT
