“Human Rights Na My Property” is more than a slogan. It is a reminder that every human being is born with rights that deserve to be respected, protected and defended.
Your right to life is your right.
Your right to dignity is your right.
Your right to freedom of expression, movement, association and peaceful assembly is your right.
Your right to fair treatment before the law is your right.
These rights are not gifts from politicians. They are not favours from government officials. They are not rewards for supporting a particular political party, tribe, religion or individual.
Human rights belong to the people.
The problem begins when those in positions of authority start behaving as though the rights of citizens are their personal property. When people are intimidated for speaking their minds, detained without proper legal process, discriminated against, abused by those in power or prevented from peacefully expressing themselves, democracy itself becomes weaker.
But citizens also have responsibilities.
Defending human rights does not mean defending wrongdoing. Freedom of expression does not mean freedom to harm others. Freedom of movement does not mean ignoring the law. Human rights must exist alongside responsibility, justice and respect for the rights of other people.
A healthy society is one where power is accountable, citizens are respected, and the law protects everyone equally.
Whether you are rich or poor, powerful or powerless, young or old, whether you live in the city or the village, your humanity gives you dignity and your dignity deserves protection.
So let us stop treating human rights as something that belongs only to the privileged.

Protect your rights.
Respect the rights of others.
Question abuse of power.
Stand for justice.
Because when we allow the rights of one person to be violated today, we may be creating the conditions for our own rights to be violated tomorrow.
Human rights are not a privilege. They are a responsibility we must all protect.
