Three Doctors Arrive In Aso Rock To Treat President Buhari

Three medical doctors today arrived in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, to attend to the ailing President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, SaharaReporters has learned.
The doctors, all British and Caucasian, are two males and one female, according to our highly placed source at the Presidency.
Mr. Buhari, who has not made any public appearance in two weeks, is described as greatly emaciated, according to two sources knowledgeable about his condition. Despite statements by the government a few days that the president had “resumed work,” Mr. Buhari remains holed up in his official residence.
Apprehension within the Presidential Villa about the president’s condition was heightened yesterday as the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, was seen moving a lot of documents out of the villa. Our sources said it was unclear why Mr. Kyari made the move to take away documents to an unknown location.
A Presidency source told SaharaReporters that the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) has set up a “safe house” in Abuja where Mr. Buhari is being treated by a relay of mostly foreign doctors.
Even though President Buhari and his aides have refused to divulge the nature of his ailment, SaharaReporters learned several months ago that the Nigerian leader is ravaged by Crohn’s Disease, an intestinal disorder. He is also known to have prostate issues as well as age-related disorders, including early-stage dementia. Mr. Buhari’s official age is listed as 74, but he is widely believed to be much older.
One of our sources disclosed that Mr. Buhari was slated to leave Nigeria on May 10 for another medical trip to Britain. However, the arrival today of a new set of medical doctors to attend to him might be a further attempt by a cabal of some of his closest associates to frustrate his departure from Nigeria. Members of the cabal controlling events around the President include the Director General of the Directorate of State Security (DSS), Lawal Daura, Mr. Buhari’s powerful nephew, Mamman Daura, his Personal Secretary, Tunde “Idiagbon” Sabiu, a businessman, Isa Funtua, Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, and Babagana Kingibe, a former Secretary to the Government who was the running mate to Moshood Kashimawo Abiola, the presumed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election.
Some members of the Buhari administration accuse the cabal of opposing Mr. Buhari’s foreign medical trip for fear that his absence would cost them political influence.
SaharaReporters learned that no “advance team” of aides has yet left Nigeria to prepare for Mr. Buhari’s arrival in London, another sign that members of the president’s inner circle, who pull the strings in his administration, continue to oppose such a trip.
In an apparent attempt to reduce pressure on themselves, the cabal last week allowed Mr. Buhari’s wife, Aisha, to have access to funds to cater for her husband. They also persuaded her to draft a series of tweets asserting that the president’s health was not as bad as perceived. However, our sources described Aisha Buhari and other family members as frustrated and sober over Mr. Buhari’s slow pace of recuperation.
In addition, the cabal around the president arranged for Mr. Buhari to make phone calls to a number of persons, including businessman Aliko Dangote and some political aides and friends. However, sources close to some of the recipients of the phone calls said the calls did not last more than 30 seconds each.
On Monday, Attorney General Abubakar Malami and the Group Managing Director of Nigeria’s National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Baru Maikanti, claimed they held extensive meetings with Mr. Buhari to discuss a range of issues. However, no videos or photographs were produced of the ostensible meetings. Twenty-four hours after Mr. Malami claimed he had met the president, Mr. Buhari failed to attend the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, the fourth consecutive time he was absent at the gathering where a number of policy initiatives are discussed. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who presided at the meeting, apologized for Mr. Buhari’s absence, telling ministers that the president could not make it to the meeting because his doctors had advised him to “rest.”
There is growing concern in Nigeria that the secretiveness around Mr. Buhari’s condition, as dictated by the powerful cabal around the president, was reminiscent of the political manipulations orchestrated by a cabal around former President Umaru Yar’Adua who died on May 5, 2010. Whilst Mr. Yar’Adua lay comatose in a Saudi hospital, then First Lady Turai Yar’Adua led a coalition of associates who insisted that the gravely ill ruler was ably running Nigeria’s affairs remotely from his hospital bed.
Many Nigerians now fear that the cabal around Mr. Buhari could plunge Nigeria into crisis by making questionable decisions in the name of a president who may not even be consulted on the decisions.
One analyst stated that Mr. Buhari’s elusiveness and “rule from a remote location” was also eerily similar to the case of former Governor Danbaba Suntai of Taraba State. Mr. Suntai, who sustained critical physical and mental injuries when an aircraft he was piloting crashed, spent a long period in German and US hospitals. Despite Mr. Suntai’s extensive brain damage, a cabal led by General Theophilus Danjuma (rtd) kept him in office for a long time, claiming that he was fit enough to run Taraba State from abroad and later from secret locations even though he’d become incapacitated by the air crash. -SR

Badeh’s Counsel Absconded With Title Documents To Dubai - Witness

A prosecution witness in the trial of a former Chief of Defense Staff, CDS, Air Marshal Alex S. Badeh (retd) has revealed how a lawyer to the former CDS absconded to Dubai with title documents of various properties allegedly procured with monies removed from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, between January and December, 2013.

The witness, Nuhu Dalhatu, made this disclosure on May 3, 2017 while being cross-examined by Lasun Sanusi, SAN, who held brief for Badeh’s counsel, Akin Olujimi, SAN, before Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja.

Badeh is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC alongside Iyalikam Nigeria Limited on a 10-count charge of money laundering, criminal breach of trust and corruption.

He allegedly abused his office as CDS by using the dollar equivalent of the sum of N1.4billion removed from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force to purchase properties in choice areas of Abuja between January and December, 2013.

Dalhatu, a forensic analyst of the EFCC, had earlier told the court that, the analysis of NAF statements of accounts, as well as key revelations by a NAF financial officer, Squadron Leader Emmanuel Abu, proved useful in investigations.
According to him, “investigations revealed that Barrister Hussaini Umar sold properties at the behest of Air Commodore Yushau, on behalf of Badeh, which title documents and power of attorney Umar said he had submitted to Barrister Timothy Muje, the company secretary to Iyalikam Nigeria Limited, for endorsement.

“The Commission made efforts to invite Barrister Muje, but he failed to turn up. We made attempts to arrest him only to find out that he had absconded through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport for Dubai.”

Dalhatu further revealed that the investigating team executed a search warrant on one of Badeh’s properties at 6, Ogun River Crescent, Maitama, Abuja, and discovered two unaddressed waybills, exhibits T104 and T105.

When asked by Rotimi Jacobs, SAN, counsel to EFCC, to shed more light on the ownership of the waybills, Dalhatu said, “the two waybills were discovered in a room filled with furniture and were from a Kaduna-based furniture company, Almuhansay. In our interview with the managing director of Almuhansay, he said that while on one of his business trips, importing furniture from Dubai, he did not fill up his container and was approached by Mrs. Mary Iyah Badeh, who requested that he convey goods to Abuja for her.

“On arrival of the goods, he (MD, Almuhansay) said that he left the waybills unaddressed due to its sensitivity, and gave it to his driver for delivery. Mrs. Badeh’s furniture were marked ‘Badeh 1-9’.”

After re-examination on new issues raised, the case was adjourned to May 16, 17 and 18 for further hearing. ( EFCC)

‘I left my matrimonial home to retain my job’ - Housewife

A housewife has told  a Jikwoyi Customary Court in Abuja that she left her matrimonial home because her husband asked her to choose between the marriage and her job.

Joy Udo, a teacher, who on Wednesday filed a petition seeking the dissolution of the marriage, said her husband, Sammul Udo, asked her to resign from her job.
“The major disagreement we had before I left his house was that he asked me to quit my job because his mother never worked, so his wife must not work.
“I refused. I told him that I won’t quit my job because if I do, I will be in a tight corner.
“He does not have enough money to cater for the family, even the capital that he used in starting his business, I gave it to him,” she said.
Joy also told the court that her husband did not bear the entire responsibility of catering for the family, adding that he faked his identity to lure her to marry him.
“Before our marriage, my husband claimed to be a pastor, but after the marriage, he stopped going to church and never wanted to pray with the family,” she said.
She also alleged that he was promiscuous.
“I always see lots of love text messages on my husband’s phone. When I called his lover, the lady will say my husband never told her that he was married.
“When the lady told my husband that I called her, he made trouble with me and said that the marriage between us has ended,” she said.
Joy urged the court to dissolve the marriage and grant her the custody of the children.
The respondent, Udo, a businessman, was not in court.
The judge, Everyman Eleanya, adjourned the case to May 27 for defence. - NAN

Nigerian Man Caught In Malta With 50 Capsules Of Cocaine

A man arrested after the drug squad raided his hotel room yesterday will remain in custody until the criminal court decides on his sentence, a court has decreed today.

The Nigerian man known as Thomas Uchenna Onyema, appeared before the magistrate, Francesco Depasquale, on Thursday morning, charged with complicity in trafficking of cocaine.

According to an official statement, the 49-year-old Nigerian national was arrested after officers from the drug squad carried out a raid on his St Paul's Bay hotel room and discovered 50 capsules of cocaine in circumstances indicating that they were not intended for his personal use.

Onyema Uchenna who gave his profession as “security guard”, pleaded guilty to charges of complicity in the importation of cocaine, as well as the importing and possession of the drug.

The court solemnly warned the accused of the consequences of pleading guilty to the charges. Onyema proceeded to confirm his plea of guilt.

The court noted the admission and ordered the records and exhibits of the inquiry to be transmitted to the Attorney General.

The accused sat with his head bowed and hands clasped in the dock as the court issued its decree.

“Mr Onyema, in view of the fact that your accusations are of a certain gravity, the court cannot deliver judgment itself but this must be delivered by the criminal court...You will remain in custody until that final judgment is delivered,” the magistrate said.

"Mercy Aigbe Was Coughing Blood After Husband Battered Her" – Lagos Commissioner

Mr. Lanre Gentry, the estranged husband of Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe was on Tuesday quizzed by the Lagos State department of Domestic and S*xual Violence Response Team (DSVRT).

Speaking on the matter, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Lagos, Mrs. Lola Akande, said it was disheartening to see the state Aigbe was when she came to her office.

“She was coughing blood from her nose and mouth and she had injury on her face which the doctor said she must have an operation. I was so angry that I need to see the face of the man that did this to her, and so we invited him and he came yesterday (Tuesday) to say his own side of the story to the official in charge of domestic violence.

"But any man that can beat a woman to a pulp like that to the extent that she is still coughing blood one week after the incident need to have his head examined,” said Mrs. Akande.

According to her, the Lagos State Government has secured a restraining order for Aigbe from any further abuse by her husband.

She commended the courage of Aigbe for voicing out her ordeal, and urged other women going through similar situation not to keep quiet about their ordeal.

“I must commend the courage of mercy, because what she did is what other women who are victims of domestic violence out there need to do, they don’t need to hide it except they want to die there.”

Adding her voice to the matter, Coordinator of DSVRT, Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, said the order prevents Mr. Gentry from getting close to his wife until further notice assuring that the government would pursue the case to a logical conclusion,

She disclosed that Gentry, who may be charged for domestic violence, is expected to appear in court in two weeks’ time to give reasons why the restraining order should not be made perpetual,

Vivour-Adeniyi said the State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode was committed to stemming the tide of domestic violence, regardless of who the victim or the offender is, saying that Aigbe is yet another victim whose case would be treated according to the law.

Australian mother who killed eight children escape jail term

Australian mother who killed eight children escape jail term

A local court in Australia has ruled that a woman who killed eight children was not responsible for her actions because she suffered psychotic episode triggered by undiagnosed schizophrenia.
Raina Thaiday, now 40, stabbed herself 35 times after killing seven of her children and a niece, aged 2 to 14 years, at her home in Cairns in northern Australia in December 2014.

The Queensland Mental Health Court found her to be of “unsound mind” at the time, suffering from cannabis-induced schizophrenia and would not face prosecution for the murder charges she was facing.
The ruling, made by the court in April, was made public on Thursday.
Justice Jean Dalton ruled that there was “very convincing body of evidence that Thaiday had suffered psychotic episode and had no capacity to control or understand her own actions.
“To her way of thinking at that time, what she was doing was the best thing she could do for her children; she was trying to save them,” Dalton said.
In the state of Queensland, a person found to be of unsound mind could not be held criminally responsible for their actions.
Frank Varghese, one of two psychiatrists assisting Dalton, said her “apocalyptic delusional state” may have been triggered by her long-term cannabis usage, which stopped months before the killings.
Thaiday was smoking up to 20 cones of cannabis a day, according to local media.
She will be held in a high-security ward of a psychiatric hospital in the state capital Brisbane for an indefinite period.
“She has a life sentence in her own heart if she ever learns to understand what it is that has occurred and the gravity of the circumstances.
“It is not something that any parent wants to know they’ve done,” Christine Smyth, president of the Queensland Law Society, told reporters in Brisbane.

Heavy rain floods National Assembly lobby

An evening downpour flooded the lobby of the main building of the National Assembly on Wednesday.

The area affected is the lobby of the popular ‘White House’, which houses the chambers of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The PUNCH observed that the rain, which started about 6 pm and lasted for close to 30 minutes, let in water that covered the entire protocol box of the lobby.

Findings by The PUNCH showed that the heavy wind that accompanied the rain, forced the water from outside into the lobby.

A portion of the roof around the lobby also leaked water, a development that worsened the flooding.
The National Assembly building is said to have suffered from lack of adequate maintenance over the years.

The Clerk of the bureaucracy of the legislature, Mr. Mohammed Sani-Omolori, has launched efforts to cover the years of neglect. (Punch)

Housekeeper Slits Throat Of 79-Year-Old Mother Of His Employer

An Ikeja High Court on Wednesday heard how a housekeeper, Christian Yavine, allegedly murdered one Mrs. Mariam Abiola, 79, the mother of his employer by slitting her throat.

However, Yavine, a Beninoise who was 18 when the murder was committed three years ago, denied the charge brought against him by the state.

The policeman’s evidence was translated into French in the courtroom by an interpreter for Yavine’s understanding.

The Investigating Police Officer, Insp. Godsgift Moses, being led in evidence by the State Prosecutor, Mr. Akin George, said that, “On July 3, 2014, I and ASP Adetunji Fisayo paid a visit to the crime scene.  The room where the deceased was murdered was scattered, with a lot of blood seen on the mattress and the pillow.

“Our investigation team proceeded to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, to inspect the remains of the deceased.

“On close observation, there was a deep cut across the throat of the deceased and she had several minor cuts on her neck, which shows signs of struggles.”

On how he took charge of the case, Moses said: “I am a Police Inspector attached to the Homicide Division of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos.

“I met the defendant on July 2, 2014 at 4 p.m. while I was on duty at the State CID, the original case file and exhibits were handed over to me.

“The defendant spoke Yoruba, but I did not understand, so I asked a colleague Sgt. Adeola Lawal to interpret the language in English for me.

“Lawal interpreted his statement for me and it was read to the defendant and he confirmed that that was what he told Lawal.

“On July 7, 2014, we served the pathologist, Prof. John Obafunwa, with the coroner’s form and an autopsy was conducted by Obafunwa’s office to find out the primary cause of death,” Moses said.

The prosecutor showed Moses two long kitchen knives, a black rope and a long pestle allegedly used in the crime, which were identified by him and marked as exhibits by Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye.”

NAN reports that the prosecutor, George, argued that Yavine allegedly committed the offence on July 1, 2014 at the residence of his employer located at Block 74, Flat 2, Ijaiye Low Cost Housing Estate, Pen Cinema Agege, Lagos State.

“The defendant killed a septuagenarian, Mrs. Mariam Abiola, the mother of his employer by stabbing her repeatedly in the throat with a kitchen knife.

“The defendant committed the murder after his employer, Mrs. Joke Akinsemoyin, left the deceased and the teenage housekeeper in her home to go for a vigil, scheduled for 10.30 p.m. in her church.

“When Akinsemoyin returned in the early hours of the morning, she inquired about her mother from Yavine and he told her that she was sleeping in the bedroom.

“When she wanted to go into the bedroom to check her, she was refused entry by Yavine and she immediately became suspicious.

“After a physical struggle with the defendant, she gained entry into the bedroom where she saw the body of her mother lying in a pool of her blood on the bed,” he said.

Three witnesses, including Moses, have so far testified for the prosecution in the trial.

Ipaye adjourned the case until May 4 for continuation of trial. - NAN

Man arraigned for allegedly breaking into TV station

A 38-year-old man, Smith Adetona, who allegedly scaled the fence of Ebony Life Television Station at Ilupeju to steal, was on Thursday hauled up before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.
Adetona, who lives in Mushin area of Lagos, is facing a charge of intent to commit felony. He, however, denied the charge.
According to the prosecutor, Sgt. Yomi Egunjobi, the accused committed the offence on April 20 at Ebony Life Television Station on Industrial Avenue, Ilupeju.
The accused climbed the fence and broke into the premises at night to steal, Egunjobi said.
He told the court that the accused had on him at the time of arrest an iron rod and a hammer.
Egunjobi said a police patrol team stationed at Ebony Life Television Station apprehended the accused.
The offence contravened Section 404 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the offence carries a penalty of seven years’ imprisonment.
The Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Osibajo, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The surety must be gainfully employed and also show evidence of two years’ tax payment to the Lagos State Government, she said.
She adjourned the case until May 11 for mention.

5 men jailed 15 years for having s*x with married woman in husband’s house

A Minna Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday sentenced five men to three-year imprisonment each, after they admitted committing adultery.

They were, however, given an option of N150, 000 fine each.
The accused–Mohammed Faruk, Johnbosco Dedan, David Momoh, Sunday Ekuese and Vincent Emmanuel–were arraigned alongside Naomi Abdulmajeed, on a two-count charge of enticing a married woman and committing adultery.

The Prosecutor, Inspector Emmanuel Danladi, had told the court that one Abdulmajeed Akin of Tunga, Minna, reported the matter at the Tudun Wada Police Station on April 28.

Danladi quoted the complainant as saying his wife, Naomi, had intimate relationships with the other accused persons who each had s*x with her at different venues.

He said that some of the accused persons were said to have slept with the complainant’s wife in her matrimonial home.

The offences, he said, were contrary to sections 389, 387 and 388 of the penal code.

When the charges were read to the accused persons, they all pleaded guilty and begged the court for leniency.

The prosecutor thereafter asked the court to try them summarily in line with Section 157 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

He also prayed the court to order the accused persons to pay a compensation of N500,000 each to the husband.

Counsel to the accused persons, Obi Alex, however, prayed the court to temper justice with mercy, given their admission without wasting the time of the court.

Delivering his judgment, the presiding magistrate, Mohammed Hassan, sentenced the accused persons to three-year imprisonment each (15 years in total), or a fine of N150,000 each.
He, however, ordered the complainant’s wife to pay a fine of N10,000 only.
The judge also ordered the other five accused to each pay a compensation of N100,000 to the complainant.

Do You Really Have to Cover Your Laptop Camera?

In our tech-driven world, it’s now obvious that our privacy can be easily compromised. If hackers can penetrate the White House, they can likely crack our personal devices. And yet we still use our phones, laptops, tablets, and more, as if that threat doesn’t exist. But can we really afford to ignore it?

If you have a modern device capable of getting online, chances are that it has a camera. And if so, there’s a probability that someone is looking for money or a glance at your intimate moments. Such driving factors have made way for a thriving black market for compromised webcams and the videos or photos they can produce. That’s why you may have heard the suggestion to protect yourself by taping over your computer camera and other devices with cameras.

The tip is not based simply on paranoia. In 2014, the FBI ran its largest cyber operation to date, in which scores of webcam hackers in more than 12 countries were arrested. The program, called Blackshades, gave users access to “photographs and other files on the victim’s computer and a record all of the keystrokes entered on the victim’s keyboard,” according to a report. It allowed them to steal passwords to the victims’ online accounts, and even activate the victim’s web camera to spy on them, all in secret.

And that’s just one vindictive tool that hackers have used on computers around the world. Apparently, there’s some evidence to suggest that the FBI has also hacked into people’s computers in order to access their webcams for surveillance.

Many Internet-connected webcams have their own IP address to permit remote access, which lets you connect directly to the webcam from anywhere in the world. However, if your camera is not protected by a strong password (which many of them aren’t), it makes it all that much easier for hackers to infiltrate.

As for computer-connected webcams, hackers can use malware to access the cameras. This can happen when you accidentally click a bad link or download a sinister file.

“I’m quite confident that my own computer is not infected by malware—yet,” says Mikko Hermanni Hyppönen, a computer security expert and columnist who has assisted law enforcement in the United States, Europe, and Asia since the 1990s on cybercrime cases. “I cover my camera just in case, and to set an example. It’s not a bad idea.”

Chief Research Officer at F-Secure, a cyber security and privacy company based in Helsinki, Finland, Hyppönen is known for taking down the Sobig Worm in August of 2003, a computer worm that infected millions of Internet-connected, Microsoft Windows computers.

“There are plenty of trojans out there that can spy on you via your computer’s camera. We’ve even seen criminals ask money from people after they have collected embarrassing pictures of them via webcam,” he says.

It seems safe to say that, if you don’t want people watching your every move—especially without your permission and when you don’t know it—the only way to protect yourself in terms of your technology is to cover up the camera when not in use. And frankly, it really can’t hurt. It’s just a piece of tape.

Queen Elizabeth II has a secret Facebook account

The Queen of England, Elizabeth II herself, is said to be on Facebook.

But not the official 'The British Monarchy' page which made its debut back in 2010, but a super secret one for Elizabeth herself.

According to MailOnline, the Queen has a deeply private personal account, with a secret friend list.
Like her mother, Elizabeth II reportedly loves chatting away on the phone.

But unlike her mother, our Queen is up to speed with the latest tech, including a lightweight smartphone.

She's also been said to be able to text on it.
The encrypted mobile is reportedly one of the most sophisticated in the world. It's allegedly impervious to hackers.

The two people she reportedly chats to the most are Princess Anne, her daughter, and John Warren, her horse-racing guru and son-in-law of the Queen's great friend, the late Earl of Caenarvon.

You might not have heard of him, but you will probably recognise his house, Highclere Castle in Berkshire - it's the real Downton Abbey.

Angela Kelly, her P.A., keeps the phone charged at all times so the Queen never has to shout round the palace for an iPhone cable.

She also has a laptop, and even an iPad...
Devastatingly, the Queen is not on Twitter - but the popular parody account, @Queen_UK is. - Indy 100

Zuckerberg : Facebook to hire 3,000 more staff to police content

Mark Zuckerberg has pledged to hire an extra 3,000 staff worldwide to police content on Facebook.
The social network’s founder published – on his Facebook page – what amounted to a greater commitment to users’ safety following several “heartbreaking” instances of people hurting themselves or others in live, or recorded, videos in recent weeks.
He said the investment would include tackling hate speech and child exploitation.
Mr Zucerberg wrote: “If we’re going to build a safe community, we need to respond quickly.
“We’re working to make these videos easier to report so we can take the right action sooner – whether that’s responding quickly when someone needs help or taking a post down.
Over the next year, we’ll be adding 3,000 people to our community operations team around the world – on top of the 4,500 we have today – to review the millions of reports we get every week, and improve the process for doing it quickly.
He added: “Just last week, we got a report that someone on (Facebook) Live was considering suicide.
“We immediately reached out to law enforcement, and they were able to prevent him from hurting himself. In other cases, we weren’t so fortunate.
“No one should be in this situation in the first place, but if they are, then we should build a safe community that gets them the help they need.”
The statement will be largely seen as an admission by Facebook that action was overdue.
Last week, a father in Thailand broadcast himself killing his daughter on Facebook Live, according to police.
The company removed the video a day later after more than 370,000 views.
There have been many other examples including a live stream, in January, of a man with learning difficulties being bound, gagged and brutally punched.
Last month, a video was uploaded to Facebook of a man being shot dead in an unprovoked attack.
A report by a Commons committee on Monday recommended social media firms be fined if they failed to tackle illegal or harmful material.
Google has been at the centre of a boycott by advertisers – angered their messages have appeared alongside extremist content on the company’s video-sharing site, YouTube.
While Facebook-owned Whatsapp has come under separate pressure after it emerged Westminster terror attacker Khalid Masood sent an encrypted message via the messaging service just minutes before his assault began.

Boko Haram leader Shekau 'injured' in Nigerian army airstrike

Leader of Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram is reportedly injured in an airstrike that killed one of his deputies last Friday, AFP reports on Wednesday.

The terrorist group was reportedly gathered for Friday prayers in Balla village near the Sambisa Forest when two Nigerian Air Force jets struck them.
“Shekau was wounded in the bombings and is believed to be receiving treatment near the Nigerian border with Cameroon around Kolofata,” AFP quotes a source with contacts within Boko Haram.
“His deputy, Abba Mustapha, alias Malam Abba, was killed in the attack along with another key lieutenant, Abubakar Gashua, alias Abu Aisha,” the source added.
Another source, Babakura Kolo, a member of the civilian militia in the Borno state capital, Maiduguri corroborated the story to AFP.
The military has not released any statement yet but said on Tuesday that it conducted air strikes last Friday against a group of Boko Haram terrorists.
This is the fourth time a report of Shekau being struck during military operations has resurfaced.
Reports of his death came up in 2013 and 2014, which were immediately debunked through a video message from Shekau.

Mercy Aigbe's Husband Speaks Again! Allege Adultery, Mental challenge

Mercy Aigbe's husband has once again spoken out about the actress packing out of his home. He said, he once knew Mercy spent two weeks in Dubai with a man and when he challenged her, she said she only wanted to collect money from the man. He also mentioned other infidelities, saying, she just wants to be a single woman again despite trying his best to keep her. Here's how BON who interviewed him reports it;

“Mercy has mental issues and i am the one who knows how many places we’ve been to so she can remain stable. I have papers to prove these,” he said.

Larry, who has come under several attacks for allegedly beating the popular actress, disclosed that contrary to the news that made the rounds, it was Mercy that ganged up with her friends in her designer, Luminee House, to attack him. He claimed that while the others beat him, his wife hit him hard with a stool.

Invoking biblical curses on himself, the auto merchant sweared that he has never beaten Mercy in their seven years of marriage despite the fact that he has caught her several times frollicking and fornicating with different men.

He gave an example of last year when she said that she was going to China for two weeks but instead, spent the whole time in a Dubai hotel with a man.

To lend credence to this claim, Larry showed us different whatsapp conversations to buttress this allegation and a particular one where Mercy was asking a third party to get some dollars from the man for her.

“When I challenged my wife, she said she only wanted to collect money from him – a married woman!!! But i discovered that it was the same man that paid for the Magodo house she just moved to, which i also found out had been rented over a month ago.”

Continuing, Larry said, “See, i understand Mercy’s antics too well. All she wants is to move out of my house and be free to live the life of a single woman. What i have tolerated from her all these years, no man can tolerate from any woman.” He said further that as a husband, “I worship mercy and I have deposited N8m at Benefit Motors to buy her a N16m Range Rover ENVOGUE for her 40th birthday. I have also paid N1.2m for a hall opposite Sheraton Hotel to celebrate her big but she has her eyes on other things.”

Asked why he has not consulted her family to intervene, he says Mercy has no regard for her parents, citing an example of last year when her dad collapsed while on the queue to get his pension and was rushed to the hosipital.

When the actress was informed, Larry said she lied that she was in Calabar and till now, had not gone to see the old man.

He claimed that he was the one that went there and spent about N180,000, adding that because she refused to take care of her mom, he put the old woman on a salary of N25, 000 per month.

Attempts to reach Mercy were unsuccessful as at the time of posting this story.
