Liverpool want to add to their forward ranks this summer despite already bringing in Mohamed Salah from Roma and have been linked with Bordeaux forward Gaetan Laborde.
The Reds were reported to be considering making a €10m bid to sign the 23-year-old striker but now face competition from Arsenal who have also joined the race to sign Laborde, claim Foot Mercato.
Laborde has come through the ranks at Bordeaux and enjoyed his best season for the club in 2016/17, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.
The former France U20 international is contracted to the Ligue 1 club until 2020 but would be interested in a move to the Premier League should Liverpool or Arsenal be ready to firm up their interest.
Jurgen Klopp’s side remain very interested in Monaco teenager Kylian Mbappe and Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer, and they’d need to have no chance of signing either of them before they revisit a deal for Laborde. - Read Sport
