Nigerian rapper, SauceKid handed two-year jail term in US for credit card fraud
Nigerian rapper, Babalola Falemi, popularly known as SauceKid, has been sentenced to two years in jail in the US for credit card theft.
SauceKid was accused of stealing $15,388 from bank card numbers and was arrested at the Boise Airport in Idaho, US.
Police say he was able to withdraw cash from bank ATMs and bought merchandise from stores between July 23 and 26, 2016. The rapper was caught with a card-encoding device and about $6,000 cash.
According to Idaho Statesman, SauceKid pleaded guilty to one of the counts of aggravated identity theft, after which other charges were dismissed.
He has also been placed on one year of supervised release, after he might have served his prison term.
