West Ham remain in the market for a striker or two this summer and they could be closing in on adding one to their squad.
According to Sky Sports, the Hammers have emerged as favourites to land KAS Eupen striker Henry Onyekuru this summer.
Arsenal, Swansea, Borussia Dortmund, Red Bull Leipzig, Schalke, Borussia Monchengladbach, Lyon, Lille, Monaco, Nice, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Fiorentina and Roma have all been credited with interest in the teenager.
Onyekuru netted 24 goals and provided 13 assists for Eupen this season which has led to seven Premier League clubs opening talks to sign him, but the Hammers are leading the race.
With many offers seemingly on the table, it’s understood that the player and his representatives will be flying to England early next week to hold talks with a number of clubs before deciding on his next move.
Adding strikers to the squad is one of West Ham’s biggest summer priorities and fending off competition to land Onyekuru would be a major coup for the club.
