Lukaku set for world-record Manchester United move

Everton v Leicester City - Premier League

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is set for a world-record move to Manchester United, in a £100m deal.

Manchester United are said to be in serious talks over a move for Lukaku and the Daily Mail claim that they are ready to pay £100m to land the forward.

The report claims that Lukaku was expected to join Chelsea this summer but United have swooped in and are now set to complete the move.
The deal would make Lukaku the world’s most expensive ever footballer, taking over from Paul Pogba – who joined for £89m from Juventus last summer.

It would also be a landmark for football with Lukaku being the first ever player to hit £100m.
The Mail claim that United could look to use Wayne Rooney as a makeweight in the deal.
Everton are keen to sign Rooney this summer but the clubs have yet to work out an arrangement that suits all parties, this could be it.
