Transfer News : Lazio join the race to sign Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is a wanted man ahead of the January transfer window and, according to claims from the Mirror, Lazio are the latest club to join the race for his signature.

Wales international Ramsey’s future has come under intense scrutiny in recent times, with the Gunners having reportedly withdrawn their offer of a contract extension.

Ramsey’s contract reaches its expiration date at the end of the current season and will, therefore, be able to depart on a free transfer unless Arsenal cash-in on the player in the January transfer window.

Following the stand-off regarding a new deal for Ramsey, it’s reported by the Mirror that Ramsey could be allowed to depart the Emirates Stadium in the mid-season window as clubs begin to circle.

Lazio have evidently identified Ramsey as a player who could improve their midfield, with the long list of potential suitors for the Welshman appearing to grow.
