Claudio Ranieri insists it is time to draw a line under his experience at Leicester and focus on the next chapter with Nantes.
The Italian was ruthlessly sacked by the Foxes in February — just nine months after leading the club to a fairytale Premier League title triumph.
He still has fond memories of his time at the King Power but is determined to prove himself once again having been officially unveiled today as the new manager of Ligue 1 Nantes.
Ranieri, 65, said: "We must forget Leicester and work with humility. Leicester remains something unique.
"It's fantastic to win. The love that people showed me was fantastic. The motivation is always very strong. My love for football and the players are always very strong.
"I arrive in a club that has eight titles. I am honoured to be here.
"I have to prove every day to myself. Nantes can help me."
Ranieri replaces Sergio Conceicao, who left Nantes earlier this month to take charge of Porto in his native Portugal.
The former winger, 42, stepped into the Nantes hot-seat in December, leading the club from a lowly 19th in the table to a respectable seventh-placed finish.
And Ranieri is keen to build on the foundations laid by his predecessor. He added: "I'm curious to see what I can do with it.
"It will take a lot of work. I hope the fans will be happy with us." - Mirror
