Adele plans to move to US

The singer has said she is devastated at being forced to cancel her final London shows after damaging her vocal cords.

And to celebrate the move, she is planning an Independence Day party on Tuesday, inviting close friends and relatives to wave her, husband Simon Konecki and son Angelo off.

Earlier this week, she announced on stage at Wembley that she is quitting touring – and may never perform live again.
She told fans: “I had to push a lot harder than I normally do. It turns out I have damaged my vocal chords. And on medical advice, I am simply unable to perform over the weekend.

“To say I’m heartbroken would be an understatement.”
She added: “So this is it after 15 months on the road. Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn’t suit me particularly well.
“I’m a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things. Plus, I’m dramatic and have a terrible history of touring. Until now that is!

“I’ve done 119 shows and these last four will take me up to 123, it has been hard but an absolute thrill and pleasure. I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home.”
Adele, 29, now plans to work on her music – and another baby may even be on the horizon, as those close to her say she would love to give Angelo a brother or sister.

A source said: “After a crazy year, Adele can’t wait to relax and spend time with her family.
“She plans to base herself in the US and send Angelo to school there.

“But she will always be a Brit girl at heart and is keeping her UK home for whenever she comes back.”
It is thought the Independence Day party will double up as a wedding celebration – after it was reported Adele and Simon secretly tied the knot in LA before Christmas.

She has made her love for the US known and last year splashed out on an £8million house in the Beverly Hills celebrity enclave of Hidden Valley.
Her neighbours there include Beyonce and Jay Z, Jennifer Lawrence and Robbie Williams.
