Fulani herdsmen have reportedly issued a notice of attack to some communities in Benue State.

Spokesman of the Benue Police Command, Moses Yamu, who confirmed the development, said the state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, had led officers and men to the area for on-the-spot information and assessment.
He added that police units are currently in strategic parts of Gwer to douse tension.
