Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has talked up the chances of Chelsea and Liverpool target Adrien Rabiot staying at the club, amid rising speculation about his long-term future.
Rabiot has been linked with moves to a number of different clubs, including Barcelona, Man City and Tottenham, as well as Liverpool, but his manager seemingly wants him to see him stay with the Ligue 1 winners.
As reported by RMC, Tuchel gave his views on Rabiot’s future:
“I like [Rabiot] very much. He adapts to any system and, if he’s fit, he’s an essential player for our philosophy. He grew up in the club’s academy, it is essential to have players with these characteristics.”
Liverpool have reportedly been in talks with Rabiot’s mother, who is also his agent, about a possible transfer.
He can sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign club from January onwards, but there has been some talk that PSG will allow the 23-year-old to leave in the winter window if he doesn’t commit his future so that they can get a decent transfer fee for him. - Read Sport
