Manchester United legend, Phil Chisnall, is dead.
He passed on at the age of 78.
Man United made this known in a statement via its Twitter handle on Thursday ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester City on Sunday.
“We are saddened by the passing of our former forward, Phil Chisnall,” Man United tweeted.
“Phil was a product of our famed youth system and represented the club during Sir Matt Busby’s tenure.
“Our deepest sympathies are with his loved ones.”
Chisnall, a former forward, also played for Liverpool during his football career.
