COVID-19: Active cases rises as NCDC confirms more infections

 


The active cases of COVID-19 has risen to 7,578 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC confirms 84 fresh infections in 13 states.

The cases bring the total number of recorded infections in the country so far to 163,736.

The health agency made the announcement on Saturday night in a post on its verified Facebook page.

According to the new report, about 27 patients have been discharged after testing negative twice for the virus.

So far, the country has recorded 154,098 recoveries while about 2,060 patients have died due to complications from the dreaded virus.
