Billionaire Kidnapper: 90 percent of what is said about Evans false – Abba Kyari

Assistant Commissioner of Police and head of Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Abba Kyari, has urged members of the public to ignore most of the comments purportedly made by kidnap kingpin, Chukwudubem Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans.
He stressed that most of the information shared about the kidnapper was false.

According to Kyari, the strategy used by security agents to track and nab Evans was confidential information that was known to only him and a few senior officers in the Police force, which was in contrast to what had filtered into the public domain.
He noted that Evans faced the media only twice and could not have been issuing public statements on a daily basis as conveyed by some section of the media.

Kyari said on his Facebook page: “Friends: There is a need to clear the air on some issues that are misinforming/misleading the good members of the public who are passionate about fighting crime.

“First, 90 percent of all information relating to the arrest of Evans and what Evans said that’s being shared on social media and some print media are false.
“Just like most Nigerians, I wake up every morning and hear different false stories on social media pertaining to how we arrested Evans and what he said.

“Second, the actual strategy and technology we used in arresting vampire, Evans and other big kidnappers is known to only me and very few senior officers I am working together with in the FHQ.

“Third, someone like Evans would never have been arrested based on the few technics that were officially mentioned or the ones circulating in social media which are actually technics already known to criminals.
“We’ve gone ahead of those technics. Our real strategy and technology used in picking Evans and his gang members have never been mentioned to the media or members of the public, and will never be mentioned.

“Fourth, Evans faced the media twice; first when he was paraded in the Lagos command HQ by the Force Public Relations Officer and secondly when he took IRT detectives to his detention camps in Lagos for the world to witness him taking the police to his camp that only him and his boys knows. This is so that in future he cannot deny acquiring and operating kidnapper’s detention camps in Lagos.

“Fifth, please I urge members of the public to focus more on what they see or hear from major newspapers and television stations who have names to protect and avoid the avalanche of lies and fictions that is coming out from blogs and social media every day.

“Yes we agree Evans is the biggest and most notorious criminal arrested during the social media age in Nigeria, but there should be some decree of decorum and honesty in reporting news please. Many thanks to all our friends and well-wishers, may the Almighty bless us all in our endeavors.” - Daily Post

Femi Fani-Kayode: The cry of the Almajiri [Part 2]

To the people of the south-west, south-south, south-east and the Middle belt I say the following.
We must be steadfast and strong. We must look to our God and draw our courage and inspiration from Him. We must take off the gloves and get down to some hard work. We must forge closer ties and remain united

We must stand shoulder to shoulder and resist these hegemonist and born-to-rule devils with every fibre of our being.
The Holy Bible says that the blessing of the Lord resides where there is unity.
It tells us that the power of God flows where and when there is unity between believers and when those that share common values and a common world view are in one accord

That is why the north spends a good deal of its time trying to sow seeds of division between the ethnic nationalities of the south. They feed on and draw strength from our petty rivalries and internal divisions.
Yet the truth is as follows. We all know it but no-one wants to say it. And that truth is that the answer to Nigeria’s problems is not just in restructuring because too much innocent blood has been spilt and shed by our collective oppressors over the last years fifty seven years.

Restructuring is only the first step and it is nothing but a means to an end. Essentially it is just a temporary and ephemeral palliative. It is a good first step in what will be a long and hopefully peaceful journey to an expected and better end.

The final and lasting solution to our numerous problems is either a complete break up of the nation into five or six pieces at the very worse or the implementation of what has come to be known as the “Gideon Orkar” solution where the two core northern zones of the north-west and the north-east are excised and expelled from the federation at the very best.
Either of the two options are fine by me. Too much innocent blood has been shed over the years by the internal colonislists for anything else to suffice.

There can no longer be any genuine love and true fellowship between us. And if we say that there is or that there can be then we are just fooling ourselves and pretending.
Why should we continue to be our brother’s keeper when that brother hates us so much? The bottom line is that there is no longer any basis for unity between the north and the south.
Between the Hausa Fulani core north and the rest of the country there is no love lost!

The great Greek philosopher Plato once said, “no-one is more hated than he who speaks truth”.

He is absolutely right. Yet despite that I have spoken the truth on this matter anyway and I stand to be corrected. I have spoken that bitter truth because I refuse to be intimidated or to be bound by political correctness.
Love me or hate me and take it or leave it. And despite the hatred and the insults that will come as a consequence of speaking truth, posterity will prove me right and judge me kindly.

Meanwhile I laugh when I read the obscene words and hear the obnoxious and self-serving cry of the almajiri.
They have said that “the Yoruba are chronic backstabbers” and that is an insult that they will live to regret. When will these creatures learn that they need Nigeria far more than Nigeria needs them?

The time of glorifying themselves and feeding their vain and fanciful delusions of grandeur will soon be over.
Until then we shall continue to look unto the hills from whence our help and we shall continue to call on the Lord of Hosts and the Ancient of Days to deliver us from these hateful Arewa demons.

Permit me to end this contribution with the words of Pastor Bayo Oladeji who is the spokesman of the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). On 29th June he wrote:
“When we told you that Christians are being marginalised and being discriminated against in the North, they said we are lying. We dare them to publish name of public schools in the North where Christian Religious Education is being taught; name of states where churches are being given the CofO of their land; name of states where Christians are given support for holy pilgrimages as it is being done for the Muslims they are keeping quiet! Yet they are paying lipservice to the unity of Nigeria. As long as a group of people or a section of the country are being treated as second class citizens, the unity of the country will remain a mirage!”

May those that dispute the fact that we have a major and festering problem in this country and that unity between the core Muslim north and the rest of the country is nothing but a vain illusion consider Oladeji’s insghtful words.
The great French writer and philosopher Voltaire said, “to know who rules over you simply find out who you cannot criticise”.

Those slaves that find it difficult to challenge or criticise the northerners and their numerous excesses and acts of tyranny clearly know who their masters are. May God help them before it is too late.
I would rather die on my feet as a free man than live on my knees as a slave.(CONCLUDED).

West Ham keen on move for Javier Hernandez

West Ham are interested in a move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Javier Hernandez, who has a €15m release clause.

According to Bild, via the Express, the Hammers want to bring him back to the Premier League this summer and Tottenham are also said to be holding an interest in the Mexican international.
It is also stated that Hernandez is looking to leave Leverkusen this summer as he seeks a new challenge for next season.

Hernandez is hoping his performances in the Confederations Cup for Mexico were enough to attract sizeable interest from Europe’s big clubs to secure a move.
The report also claims that Hernandez has a €15m release clause in his Leverkusen contract, which many clubs would see as a bargain for a striker of his calibre.

Hernandez spent five years in the Premier League with Manchester United, where he scored 37 goals in the English top-flight.
The 29-year-old has, however, scored 39 goals in his two seasons with Leverkusen – in all competitions.

Antonio Conte and Chelsea at odds over which striker to sign

Arsenal v Chelsea - The Emirates FA Cup Final

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is becoming increasingly frustrated by the Blues’ transfer policy, as they look to pursue Everton striker Romelu Lukaku over Conte’s preferred option, Torino’s Andrea Belotti, according to reports in the Daily Star.

It is believed that Conte is becoming frustrated with owner Roman Abramovich as he is set to back technical director Michael Emenalo’s choice of Everton’s Lukaku.

Conte is desperate for a star striker this summer as Diego Costa looks set to move on from Stamford Bridge, and both Lukaku and Belotti are valued in the region of £85m, which is the exact amount of Belotti’s release clause.

The relationship between Conte and Abramovich about new signings appears to be the main reason why Conte has yet to sign a new deal to stay in London, with a £9.6 million a year contract still on the table and has been since the end of last season.

Sanchez: I've made up my mind

Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez says he has decided where he will be playing next season.

But the Chile forward did not confirm whether he will be lining up in club football alongside his international team-mate Claudio Bravo at Manchester City or remaining with the Gunners.
Sanchez has also been linked with Bayern Munich.

Sanchez, whose contract at Arsenal expires next summer, is currently on international duty at the Confederations Cup, where his manager Juan Antonio Pizzi has spoken about him being a player "every club would want to sign".

When asked if he would be joining Bravo in Manchester, Sanchez told  News HQ: "Good question. Right now I'm focused on the Confederations Cup. When this is finished I will see if I stay or if I go. I don't know."

Sanchez was then asked if it was clear in his mind where he would be playing next season, and he said, while laughing: "Yes it's clear but I can't tell you."
Then, in response to a question about the chances of him remaining at Arsenal next season, Sanchez said: "I don't know."

Arsenal are yet to receive a formal offer for Sanchez, despite reported interest from City and German giants Bayern Munich.
The 28-year-old scored 30 goals in 51 appearances for the Gunners last season but could not help Arsene Wenger's side secure a top-four Premier League finish and qualification for the Champions League.

'Mourinho on a title mission'

Jose Mourinho will not settle for anything less than winning the Premier League title at Manchester United, says Phil Neville.

United ended last season 24 points behind Mourinho's former club Chelsea, who were crowned Premier League champions, finishing sixth in the top flight in the Portuguese's first campaign at Old Trafford.

Mourinho, who has three English titles to his name with Chelsea, will not stop until he has achieved the same success he had at Stamford Bridge, though, according to former United defender Neville.

"It's going to be a difficult season, as everyone else is spending money and improving," Neville told MUTV. "United are going to have to improve as well because they didn't finish in the top four last season.
"Even that is a big ask, but I think Jose will want to win the Premier League. That's the big one. He won't settle for anything less."

Although league success eluded Mourinho last season, Manchester United still managed to win the Europa League (achieving Champions League qualification in the process) and the EFL Cup.
United have brought in defender Victor Lindelof for £30m already this summer as they look to boost their title credentials for next season, and Neville believes United may face an arms race to get back to the top of the Premier League.

"Now we're looking to see who Jose signs because, if you look at the top six clubs, I think they will all strengthen," Neville added. "United have to strengthen and it'll be interesting to see which team strengthens the most.

"If you look at the drawn games at Old Trafford last season and convert maybe 90 per cent of those into wins, then United would have been challenging for the title. If they can do that this year, then I think the title will come back to Manchester."

Paul Pogba reveals why he left Manchester United

Paul Pogba has revealed why he walked out on Manchester United in 2012 - but revealed his mother told him he would be back.
French star Pogba left United for nothing five years ago, only to return in 2016 following four years with Juventus, costing the Red Devils a world record fee of £89million.

Pogba returned after his spell in Turin as a household name and a global superstar, and after his debut campaign as the world's most-expensive footballer, now graces the cover of Esquire magazine.
The France international made 51 appearances for United in all competitions last term, as they landed three trophies: the Community Shield, League Cup and Europa League.

Next term, Jose Mourinho's men are preparing for both the Champions League and a Premier League title challenge, with Pogba at the heart of the side.
And Pogba says that while he always hoped to return to United, his mother knew he would.

“I left Manchester to play. That’s all I wanted," Pogba told Esquire. "Even though I was young, I felt I could play now and I didn’t want to wait.
"So if it wasn’t with Manchester it would be with someone else. But in my mind, I knew: ‘It’s not finished, I might come back.’
"My mum told me this: ‘You’ll come back one day.’ And here I am.”

Pogba is currently on holiday in Los Angeles, having also visited Mecca and China while on his summer break.
