Manchester United have been in contact with
Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski’s agent, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.
There have been reports that Lewandowski has become unhappy at Bayern, with the forward feeling his team mates and manager, Carlo Ancelotti haven’t supported him enough as he chased the top scorer accolade.
Balague claims that both Chelsea and United have spoken to Lewandowski’s agents, with London being the striker’s preferred move, however, Jose Mourinho is still very keen on the Polish international.
With United preparing for life without Zlatan Ibrahimovic and possibly Wayne Roomey, Mourinho apparently set his sights on Lewandowski, who found the back of the net on 43 occasions in all competitions, helping Bayern Munich to their fifth consecutive Bundesliga title.
Lewandowski is still under contract with Bayern Munich until 2021, so Mourinho would have to pay big money in order to get the prolific striker to Man United.
