Chelsea have reportedly cooled their interest in former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, paving way for him to join Arsenal this summer.
The Times claim that the Gunners are set to hire Enrique as Arsene Wenger’s replacement at the end of the season.
The Blues had been linked with a move for Enrique for some time, with the Spaniard considered as one of the club’s cheaper options.
The report claims that questions had been raised about his temperament, leaving the Blues to look elsewhere.
Chelsea are now likely to pursue a move for either Maurizio Sarri or Juventus’ Max Allegri.
It was Allegri who was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge prior to Antonio Conte’s appointment.
Brendan Rodgers and Thomas Tuchel have also been linked with the Chelsea job.
The Blues are yet to confirm anything about Conte’s future, but the Italian is widely expected to leave the club this summer after a disappointing title defence. - Read Sport
