Chelsea recently confirmed that Ethan Ampadu has signed a new long-term contract at the club.
Blues fans were understandably delighted with the news. Ampadu has impressed whenever he has been called upon at Chelsea.
He has showcased maturity way beyond his tender years and has also impressed for his national team.
So much so, there are already suggestions he could be a future captain for both club and country.
However, some fans noticed something a little peculiar with the way that Ampadu’s new contract was announced.
The official pictures released online that show Ampadu ‘signing’ a contract are quite deceiving.
The main problem being that he was not signing any contract, but what appears to be a training schedule.
Now, we don’t doubt that Ampadu has signed a new contract, but it appears Chelsea misplaced the official copy!
Chelsea will be hoping that Ampadu can be more efficient on the pitch when he next gets his chance. - Read Sport
