CL :Gary Neville explains why Liverpool should lose to Bayern Munich

Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has revealed why Liverpool will crash out of the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich.

The Reds have drawn five of their last seven matches in all competitions including a goalless draw with Everton on Sunday, which saw them drop to second place behind defending champions, Manchester City in the hunt for a first Premier League title.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will now face a crunch Champions League second leg tie with Bayern in order to reach the quarter-finals.
Liverpool were runners-up in Europe’s premier competition last season but Neville is convinced another run in the Champions League would prove detrimental this time around.
He, however, thinks defeat to Bayern a week on Wednesday would actually be beneficial to their hopes of winning the Premier League.
“I’ve always thought that for Liverpool to win the league they have to have a clean fixture list,” he told the Sky Sports podcast.
“I’m going to say it… go out against Bayern Munich.
“That seems like madness. You can’t play to lose a game. But actually, I think it will be in Liverpool’s favor if they can have a clean run.
“Because they can get everybody fresh, prepared for the rest of the season.
“City have got FA Cup quarter-finals, semi-finals potentially. Liverpool could go four or five points in front, that’s tough to pull back in the closing weeks, and that’s an advantage.
“I do think it’s 50-50 still, irrespective of what happened [against Everton].”
