Forbes Magazine released a list of America’s Wealthiest Self-Made Women today.
According to the list, R&B singer Beyoncé Knowles is worth $350 million; a fraction of which was amassed after her Formation World Tour that ended late 2016.
On Forbes’ Hip-Hop’s Richest acts list that was released last week, Beyoncé’s husband, Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter ranked second place with a total worth of $810million.
Although the couple earn their cash separately, they both have a significant stake in Tidal, the music streaming app Jay Z purchased in 2016. The Carters saw a huge boost in their fortune when Sprint made a $200million investment in Tidal that saw the company’s value shooting up to $600million in early 2017.
As individuals, Jay Z only just signed a 10-year deal worth $200million with Live Nation to partner on concert events. He said in a statement, “This renewed partnership is a testament to our longstanding relationship and the talented individuals at Live Nation. For the next ten years, we will continue redefining the live event landscape.”
Beyonce once told Forbes that she is never satisfied and boasted that she’s yet to meet anyone who works as hard as she does in her industry.
