Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk has told his club that Liverpool are the only team he wants to sign for this summer, according to Steve Bates of the Mirror.
The Reds were forced to make an apology to the Saints after they were accused of tapping up the player and at the time, they ended their interest in him.
However, the player himself has made it clear that he wants to move to Anfield, thus leaving Southampton in a dilemma.
They can either keep an unhappy player, something new boss Mauricio Pellegrino is not keen to do, or they can sell him to Liverpool.
Simon Mullock of the Mirror also reports that the Reds are willing to go back in for the Dutchman if his “circumstances change”, which basically means if he pushes for the move.
Van Dijk is said to be upset at the thought of missing out on his dream move and is currently deciding whether or not to hand in a transfer request.
