Benfica are set to lower their asking price for Raul Jimenez to €30 million in an attempt to spark some interest from Everton and West Ham who have both been heavily linked with the Mexican.
Record, as cited on Sport Witness claim that Jimenez is angling for a move away from Benfica as he wants more regular game time with the Premier League his desired destination.
The asking price for Jimenez started at around €50 million then the Portuguese club said they lowered their demands to €40 million but it appears to be continuing to drop.
Jimenez, who was linked with West Ham last summer but reportedly over slept and missed a medical, he went on to complete his move to the Portuguese side.
Having sold Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United earlier in the window, Everton are still in the market for a centre-forward as they seek a replacement for the Belgian.
West Ham are also interested in the player to provide competition for Jimenez’s Mexican teammate and new West Ham signing, Javier Hernandez. - Read Sport
