Diego Costa’s future is certainly away from Stamford Bridge but Chelsea are struggling to agree a deal which will see him leave the club.
Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban has put an end to a potential return to the La Liga club for the time being, but Serie A giants AC Milan are eager to continue their summer spending with a move for Costa.
After confirming that the club are looking into re-signing Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Milan’s sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli has confirmed that they are looking at Costa, along with Fiorentina’s Nicola Kalinic.
“A new striker? We’re working on it and we can’t mess it up: Kalinic and Diego Costa are also on our list.”
Not seen as part of the picture at Chelsea, Costa is almost certain to leave the club this summer but a deal is yet to be reached with any club.
Chelsea have spent big on bringing in Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, while Michy Batshuayi has impressed in pre-season, making Costa surplus to requirements.
