Chelsea are said to be confident of completing a deal worth around £30 million for Danny Drinkwater, according to the Mail Online.
The report suggests that Chelsea will offer an initial fee of £25 million which will include £5 million in add-ons.
Despite putting pen to paper on a new deal at Leicester last summer, Drinkwater is believed to be keen on a move to Stamford Bridge, despite game time not being guaranteed.
The Premier League champions have already failed with one bid worth around £15 million.
Despite Leicester asking for closer to £40 million, there is a feeling that the £30 million offer could spark a break through in talks over a possible deal for the England international, who would go onto boost Chelsea’s home grown numbers should a deal be completed. - Read Sport
