Manchester City are set to come in with a third offer for Jonny Evans, worth £25m according to The Times.
One of the shock rumours of this summer transfer window is Jonny Evans being linked with a move to Manchester City but as Pep Guardiola looks to strengthen his defence for the Premier League and Champions League, City are determined to get Evans.
City’s last offer for the Northern Irishman was worth £18m but that was rejected by The Baggies, who are looking to bring in a replacement for Evans before they even consider accepting a bid from Manchester City, Kevin Wimmer from Tottenham has been a name linked with a move to The Hawthorns.
However, Guardiola wants to move Eliaquim Mangala on before he signs Evans. Mangala is edging closer to a move to Inter Milan on loan.
Before joining West Brom in 2015 for £7m, Evans made a total of 198 appearances in all competitions for City’s fierce local rivals, Manchester United. He scored seven and assisted seven for the club. - Read Sport
