Chelsea could sign Lille midfielder Thiago Mendes in January, with Lille needing to raise funds.
French outlet RMC Sport reports that the Ligue 1 side are preparing to sell the Brazilian midfielder in the January window, with Wolfsburg and Stuttgart also alerted by his availability.
All three clubs were interested in signing the player during the summer window, but he remained with the French side for the time being.
Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be keeping close tabs on his situation and could pounce.
The report claims that Lille would be tempted into a sale for a fee in between €25-€30 million.
Chelsea have been long-term admirers of Mendes and have followed him since his time in Brazil with Sao Paulo.
While Lille have been impressing in Ligue 1, they need to raise funds and the sale of Mendes would allow them to do just that.
