Jealous lady kills her lover after soliciting for help on Facebook (pics)

A woman, identified as Boma Mac-Pepple, has been declared wanted by the police for allegedly killing her lover, Nathan Okojaja, aka Junior, in Opobo town, in the Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the duo had been dating for some time, but had a disagreement over mutual suspicion of infidelity.

On Monday, May 9, Okojaja allegedly challenged the suspect for cheating on him. Mac-Pepple also accused him of cheating on her with her friend, one Sarah.

The disagreement degenerated into a fight, with Mac-Pepple allegedly sustaining injuries.
The suspect immediately took to Facebook around 10.44am same day, calling on her friends to help her locate Okojaja so she could bring him to justice for attacking her.

“Any one that sees this boy should not hesitate to call my line 08119**** or 0808280****because every criminal or cult member must be brought to justice, for any crime he committed.

“You won’t regret giving me information. Thanks. Do that for my life…my life is in your hands now,” she had said in the Facebook post where she also  pasted the picture of the victim.
Some of her friends had teased her on the reason for the search, saying they were two lovers who always reconciled after disagreements.

She later posted a picture of the injuries she claimed was inflicted on her left ear by Okojaja.
A relative, one Peeclaire, who doubted the photo, demanded more proofs, saying he could take the matter “personal.”

Another relative, Miller, however, said he knew the duo were lovebirds, accusing her of making up the allegation against the deceased.
To convince Miller, she noted the reason for the scuffle in a series of comments edited by our correspondent.

“We were not having issues. Yesterday (Sunday), I was coming back from Aunty Felicia’s house around past 7am. I met Junior (Okojaja). He asked me where I was coming from. I asked him what right he had to ask. You know Sarah? You can ask who that girl is to him. As I finished talking, what I could realise was that I was bleeding.

“I want to tell you something. Don’t judge people by their appearance.  You don’t know what they can do. You know I don’t discriminate against people. A cult member is a cult member. You don’t know what they can be able to do. Someone that can do this kind of thing, can as well kill you,” she said.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspect found the victim around 10.30pm and stabbed him to death.
Since Okojaja’s death was announced, the lover had stopped commenting on the social media and was alleged to have fled.

Her relatives, in follow-up comments onFacebook, condemned her action and declared that they were searching for her.
When our correspondent contacted her, the phone rang out several times.

After a text message was sent to her, requesting her side of the story, she switched off and became unreachable.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Omoni Nnamdi, confirmed the incident, adding that the police had launched a manhunt for the suspect.

He said, “They were lovers and they had a disagreement, which resulted in a fight. The young man was killed in the process. We are already searching for her.” - Punch
