Michael Carrick has had his say on speculation linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a sensational return to Old Trafford.
The Portuguese superstar's future is up in the air after apparently making an 'irreversible' decision to leave the Bernabeu.
United and Paris Saint-Germain are both interested in a big-money move for the Los Blancos legend, with the Real hierarchy trying to persuade him to change his mind.
Ronaldo has been accused of tax evasion amounting to £13million and says he is treated 'like a criminal' in Spain.
The 32-year-old scored 118 goals in 292 appearances for United before joining Real in 2009, where has gone on to become the club's all-time record scorer.
"Listen, you don't need me to say, everyone knows what type of a player he is and how good he is and what a career he's had.
"It's not for me to get involved in whether he comes to Manchester United, whether he leaves Madrid or not, that's not my business at this moment in time.
"Of course, I was lucky enough to play with him. It was just a joy to work so close to him and see how he plays.
