United could land Rodriguez for €55m

Manchester United could land Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez for just €55m this summer, according to reports in France.

It’s claimed by RMC Sport, as covered in a report by GFFN tonight, that Real could look to offload Rodriguez in a cut-price deal, and United are well known to have shown their interest.

The Colombian is somewhat out of favour at the Bernabeu and it was a bold decision from Zinedine Zidane to totally exclude him from his Champions League winning match day squad.

It’s stated that Florentino Perez, the current president of Real Madrid, has held “concrete discussions” with Manchester United over a potential summer move, but Inter Milan have also negotiated a possible transfer too.

PSG are also cited with interest, but it seems as though United have expressed the most interest in landing the attacking midfielder this summer.
Real were thought to have been seeking €70m for Rodriguez, but it looks as though they may be forced into a compromise.
