It looks like Lucas Leiva’s time at Liverpool has come to an end with Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio saying that the Reds have accepted Lazio’s £5m bid.
The Brazilian midfielder joined the Reds back in 2007 for a fee of around £5million and ten years and over 340 games later, he’s leaving for a similar fee.
Lucas had a very up and down time at Liverpool. He overcame the boo-boys at Anfield to become a key member of the side. However, two serious knee injuries had a huge impact on his game and he was never quite the same player.
However, with Liverpool having plenty of options both in midfield and in defence, it looks like the player has made the decision to move to Rome, where he’ll hope to get regular playing time. - Read Sport
