Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes is eager to sign for Premier League side Arsenal this summer.
According to Marca, via Football London, Gomes’ ideal move is to Arsenal as he looks to leave Barcelona.
Gomes has struggled to nail down a regular place at Barcelona since his move to the club from Valencia in 2016.
The midfielder has made 78 appearances in two seasons for Barcelona in all competitions, scoring three times.
However, he only made 16 La Liga appearances last season, leading to speculation over his future in Spain.
The report claims that Arsenal are not willing to match Barcelona’s valuation of Gomes, which stands at £26m.
Marca claim that, instead, Arsenal could pursue a deal to sign Gomes on a season-long loan, with an option to buy at the end of the campaign.
