Chelsea defenders Gary Cahill and David Luiz have reportedly been told that they do not feature in the club’s plans going forward, according to reports in Italy.
The claims follow suggestions that the Blues are already on the hunt to sign defensive reinforcements during the January window.
AC Milan duo Mattia Caldara and Alessio Romagnoli have both been linked with moves to London during the new year.
The Blues were looking to sign Caldara over the summer, but he joined Milan from Juventus as part of the deal to take Leonardo Bonucci back to the Old Lady.
Luiz has been a regular in Maurizio Sarri’s side this season, partnering Antonio Rudiger in a back four.
The Brazilian struggled under Antonio Conte last season, with many expecting Andreas Christensen to break through and cement a place in the side under Sarri.
Cahill has also found game time hard to come by. The England international was heavily linked with moves away from the club over the summer, but no deal materialised. - Read Sport
