Liverpool central defender Virgil Van Dijk has claimed that he wants to win everything with the club this season.
Van Dijk says that he is excited by what Liverpool can achieve this season and is aiming to win all competitions the club are involved.
Liverpool have won all of their Premier League games so far this season and started in the same vein in the Champions League.
Roberto Firmino scored a last-minute winner as Liverpool beat big-spenders PSG 3-2 at Anfield.
Speaking to The Evening Standard after the game, Van Dijk said this:
“Everyone is excited, everyone is feeling good, everyone wanted to be part of this.”
“We know the season is very long, we have four competitions to play in [but] we want to win everything: that is basically our mindset, otherwise, you’d better stop.”
“You need to have ambitions, and with the size of this club, with the people around here and the history of the club, we want to try and win everything.”
Van Dijk is yet to taste a trophy with Liverpool after joining the club in January from Southampton for a world-record fee for a defender. - Read Sport
