Conte committed to Chelsea

Chelsea insist Antonio Conte is happy at the club following reports he will leave, Sky sources understand.

Conte was widely reported to be frustrated with the Chelsea hierarchy over a lack of investment in the transfer market as the Italian prepares his squad for a Champions League campaign.

News HQ understands Chelsea are confident Conte, who is currently on holiday, remains committed to the Blues and will return for pre-season in the first week of July as planned.

Conte won the Premier League in his first season at Stamford Bridge and has two more years remaining on his contract with the club, though the Italian is yet to agree an extension beyond that.
Striker Diego Costa recently claimed Conte had sent him a text message that he was not part of his future plans and could leave this summer.

That prompted suggestions of friction between Conte and the Chelsea leadership, given Costa's availability becoming public could reduce his value in the transfer market.

However, it is understood Conte has made technical director Michael Emenalo and director Marina Granovskaia aware of his transfer wish list and Chelsea will continue recruitment efforts.
Following Chelsea's Premier League success Conte said he wanted to remain at Chelsea for a long time but admitted in "modern football it's very difficult".
