Cesar Azpilicueta has become a real fan favourite during his time at Stamford Bridge but the versatile defender is being eyed for a move to his homeland, Spain.
Spanish newspaper Marca are reporting that Barcelona are looking to bring Azpilicueta to the club this summer as they still haven’t successfully replaced Dani Alves.
Chelsea signed Azpilicueta from Marseille and the right-back has developed into one of the Premier League’s finest defenders.
Spending most of last season as the right centre-back in Antonio Conte’s back three, Azpilicueta has tremendous value to Chelsea and it would be unlikely if the Blues even entertained offers, but the allure of Barcelona can be enough for some players.
Barcelona made an offer for the 27-year-old in May, Marca state, before turning their attentions to bringing Hector Bellerin back to the club from Arsenal but after the Gunners ruled out a sale the Catalans have revived their interest in Azpilicueta. - Read Sport
