Mesut Ozil has said that he wants to stay at Arsenal for another season but has not spoken with Alexis Sanchez about the Chilean’s future, according to a report on the Daily Mail.

The German international is keen to stay at the Emirates for at least another season as he has one year remaining on his current contract with the Gunners

The playmaker has insisted that he will only sign a contract extension with the North London club if they offer him a whooping £350,000-a-week.
“It is definitely my preference to stay,” Ozil said at the launch of the club’s Puma-made third kit.
“It is such a great club and I have always said that I feel very good at Arsenal.
“For now the most important thing is our pre-season. When I’m back in London, we will sit down and discuss.”

The 28-year-old attacking midfielder managed to get his name on the scoresheet eight times in the Premier League last season and assisted nine times.

The news that Ozil wants to stay will be brilliant for Arsenal fans who were fearing that due to finishing fifth in the Premier League and missing out on UEFA Champions League qualification, that they will lose all their star players.
Arsenal will be hoping that Sanchez will do the same as his team mate and good friend Ozil by staying at the Gunners for the upcoming campaign after heavy speculation linking him with a move to Manchester City.

Ozil is currently on tour with the Arsenal squad in Australia and hopes to solve his contract talks when they return to England.
