Manchester United battered LA Galaxy 5-2 on Sunday, as Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof made their debuts for the Old Trafford club.
But the sight of the new stars in action wasn't the only talking point from the game, which United dominated from start to finish.
Ahead of the fixture Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho was spotted having a conversation with LA Galaxy defender Ashley Cole.
The Portuguese has always been a big fan of the former England left-back, who he signed for Chelsea from Arsenal back in 2006.
Mourinho took the time ahead of the friendly to check up on Cole, and later revealed why he was so keen to chat to the 36-year-old.
"I wanted to know about him, how he is… is he enjoying [life in America]," explained Mourinho, when asked about the conversation, as reported by The Metro."He is a good friend and he gave his blood for me.
"I will never forget the players that give blood for me and I'm pleased that he's enjoying his experience.
"He is a family man now. He has a kid and he's happy."
Marcus Rashford was the star of the show in the friendly, as he netted twice in United's dominant display over their MLS counterparts.
The England international gave his manager a lot to think about following his recent £75million acquisition Lukaku.
Marouane Fellaini made it three for the Red Devils before Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial put the game to bed.
It wasn't all bad news for the home side however, as former Spurs forward Giovani dos Santos bagged two consolation goals before the referee called time on the spectacle. - Mirror
