Virgil van Dijk is expecting to be a Liverpool player by the end of the transfer window, according to Sky Sports.
According to Sky, Sources close to the Dutchman believe he will sign for Liverpool before the end of this summer’s window after a lengthy transfer saga.
However, there is no suggestion that Liverpool have done any negotiating since they apologised for allegedly tapping up the Dutchman in June. Liverpool escaped punishment after Southampton reported them to the Premier League for the alleged dealings.
Van Dijk is reportedly keen on a move to Anfield, and was recently left out of Southampton’s squad for their pre season tour.
The Dutchman also began to train on his own, with Saints boss Maurico Pellegrino disappointed with Van Dijk’s attitude. - Read Sport
