Police Appeal After Man Reportedly Masturbated on Kent Train Platform

British Transport Police (BTP) have launched an investigation after a man was reportedly seen exposing himself and masturbating on a railway platform in Kent while pointing towards a woman on the opposite platform.

The incident is alleged to have happened at around 4.50pm on Monday, 3 August, at Swanscombe railway station. According to detectives, the man was on one platform when he exposed himself and began masturbating while pointing towards a woman across the tracks.

Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify and speak to as part of their enquiries. Officers believe he may have information that could assist the investigation.

The appeal comes as detectives urge anyone who recognises the individual in the CCTV image, or who witnessed the incident, to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to text British Transport Police on 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 455 of 3 August. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not announced any arrest in connection with the incident at the time of the appeal.

BTP is encouraging members of the public with relevant information to contact investigators rather than approaching anyone they believe may be involved.
