Bebeto's son Mattheus Oliveira signs for Sporting Lisbon

Sporting Lisbon have signed the son of former Brazil star Bebeto - made famous by his dad's goal celebration in the 1994 World Cup.

Bebeto formed a deadly strike partnership with Romario to fire his country to glory in the tournament in the USA.

He famously rocked his arms after scoring against the Netherlands to mark the birth of his son Mattheus.

And now Mattheus has penned a five-year deal with the Portuguese giants who have won the Primeira Liga on 18 occasions.
He spent two seasons at Estoril after joining from Brazilian side Flamengo.

Bebeto took to Twitter to congratulate his son, posting: "So proud of you, son!!! Continue working hard and with humility you will go far!! That you can enter into the history of Sporting!!"
Former Deportivo player Bebeto went on to represent Brazil at the 1998 World Cup, forming a formidable partnership with Ronaldo, but they were beaten 3-0 in the final by France.
He made 79 appearances for his country, scoring 39 goals.
Mattheus, 22, has four caps for Brazil Under-20s.
